Thu Nov 30 2006Jeremy is by far the best and most enduring video ever. It is shocking and horrible, but still beautiful and still powerful even after 15 years.

Wed Oct 19 2005It's the first time a band put a true story in a song and didn't sugar coat it. That happens just as often in movies. It's refreshing to have someone tell the real deal

Mon Feb 21 2005This band actually has substance and this video show just that. Also, the concept is awesome and thought-provoking and the director didn't have to rely on special effects and computer graphics to get the desired feel, which is also very powerful and real.

Wed Jan 12 2005The song Jeremy is based on a true story about Jeremy Wade Dell. He lived in Richardson, Texas and went to Richardson High School. In 1991, he killed himself in a classroom full of students. I lived in Richardson at the time but went to a different high school. I heard about it when my bus driver asked some kids why they were out of school and they said a boy killed himself at school today. It is a sad story. We need to teach our children how being cruel to others can really affect someone's life.

Mon Dec 20 2004One of the most talked about videos of all time. What makes it such a great video for me is Eddie Vedder's passionate performance.

Thu Nov 04 2004Yes, it is self-indulgent 90's you don't understand my pain alterna-brat music. . .but it is still a damn good video.

Thu Aug 26 2004Hi Kurtvedder here. I must say that this filmclip typifies the pain and suffering shown by the tortured souls who don't conform to what is cool. By portraying him as a tragic artist they are almost making a mockery of the whole elitist attitudes shown by some. Also by picturing the fellow students in a still shot we can see them being portrayed as lifeless, cold, and unfeeling. I feel that this filmclip shows so much. I think it is also important to point out that their is a bible passage in it. This is Genesis 3:16. Look it up if you get a chance it adds even more insight.

Sat Oct 25 2003The video always kinda freaked me out. Even more so now that it's almost like they were predicting the school shootings to come in the next few years after this video's release. Good song though too.

Thu Jan 16 2003The more I see this video, I empathize the with the kid. You can feel his pain as he wants to be a normal kid but at the same time, he's fighting demons and it's portrayed very well in this video.

Sat Dec 07 2002i think jeremy was a great video, it was extreem, it had isues, and most of all it was alittle bit to close to home. you know the kids who were alwas picked on in school or even now at work or what ever. it shows what might happin if you keep pickin on these kids and how u never know some one untell you get to know them.

Tue Jul 02 2002Talk about a real hair-raiser! Between the numerous frozen scenes of shocked students covered with a suicidal classmate's blood, Eddie Vedder's creepy looks ("Jeremy spoke in class today"), and the few scenes of the child who plays Jeremy holding the gun, this video is much better than the overrated "Smells Like Teen Spirit". I like both videos, but this one is more than just raw entertainment. It's got a message in it. Now, how many music videos do you get that, when shown on MTV, can really scare an audience? Not many. Based off an incident in Texas when a boy walked into his classroom, stuck a gun in his mouth, and pulled the trigger is a great example of why "picking on" classmates is really not a good idea. Pearl Jam's first big hit, accompanied by a wondeful video,. Take care, everyone.

Sun Apr 28 2002This video is innovative and fresh. The storyline in the lyrics were so closely followed in the video, it was almost like a short film. I loved it!

Tue Apr 24 2001This song is so great. The video is very deep weather everyone sees that or not. It also doesn't hurt that Eddie Vedder looks very sexy in it too!

Sun Dec 17 2000This was an excellent video because it portrayed a man who had to fight in court about his wife and how he knows how to get attention.

Sat Dec 16 2000This song is so tight. The video is even better. It fits the song perfectly. There is good acting also.

Fri Dec 15 2000This song is about a somewhat cliche topic. I think a lot of people say, "That's life, quit whining." It comes off as embarrassingly sincere, and I want to hide my eyes out of embarrassment for them when I see it. The video didn't inspire compassion or connection with the band or song, just a sad contempt that should have been left for the album without a video. It reminds people of childhood traumas, which they may see as accurately reflected in the video, they'd rather not identify with it and "whine" about a pain that they want to believe that they are "over".

Wed Nov 22 2000This raw emotional video from Pearl Jam does more than entertain, it educates. The video and song depict the story of a boy who comes from an abusive household and ends up commiting suicide in front of his class. A wake up call to all those who thought all was well in suburbia.

Tue Jan 25 2000Pearl Jam is at its best when they are Pearl Jam, playing live music and diving into the corwds, not when they are trying to make some deep artistic statement.

Mon Dec 27 1999Jeremy is the best rock video ever! A tale about a kid killing himself well told.

Sun Dec 05 1999This IS the greatest music vide of all time. I'll not mention the fact that it is a great song. Rather, I'll point out that it is a visual masterpiece with distinct audio correlations and deep emotion. It is second to none.
