My child was a student @ jca for 1 years and it was one of the worst decisions ive ever made, i lost alot of money and gained nothing @ all! where the fool you at is letting student who fail the leap test attend there school and they promote them to the 9th grade! the only thing that is on your mind is wanting them to get out of middle school and into high school, BIG MISTAKE! jca dosent not teach whatthey are suppose to all! all the teachers are family or if not family friend of Mr. and Mrs. Colbert.... Mrs. Johnson is one of the worst teachers! and very messy! she loves to entertain the kids and their arguements. My child usually felt very uncomfortable with going to school! They allow their family members to pick on students! my child suffered daily from verbal abuse from one student inparticualr (chardy Costly) which is mr. ricks niece. trust! they will make it seem like they have you and your childs best intrest at heart THEY DONT! Mr.Ricks is a very rude man who will try to make ... Read more

I graduated from this school at the top of my class many years ago. Before I got there, I was going down the wrong path. When I got there, immediately I was embraced and I started to remember what my mother always instilled in me, which was GOD. Mr. and Mrs. Colbert are wonderful people with large hearts. Their staff are great people who have the desire to help others. Now, I have read the negative reviews and this is what I have to say about that......You are entitled to your own opinions, but my experience with this school was a great one. I am very blessed to have had the opportunity to attend this school. Every school have problems with the financing....do your research on that. I have been involved in public and private schools and both ask for extra money, that's just how it goes. Mr. and Mrs. Colbert and staff, stay strong in the Lord and everything else will work out. Besides, you wouldn't have lasted this long if it wasn't in God's plan. Love you guys.

My child has been at this school since she was about 2 and I love it....it's money out of your pockets but I would rather pay for a good education and a place that I know that my child would be safe. I have not had a problem with the teachers nor the education that my child has received....plus they get the guidence to follow the word from the Lord...I would recommend this school to anyone. As long as the Lord provides me the strength and the ability to afford it...she will be there! God Bless!

I attented Jehovah Jireh for 5 years and I can truly say we are a family..words cant express how or what this school has done for me. This school was founded on Gods Holy Word and discipline...This school has been a blessing and I know that its going to be around for awhile.. Now for you people writing this trash about my ALUMNI...if you didnt like the school from the begining why send you child there (dumb on your part right)??....wow..you felt like your child was failing in public school and here you use our school to help your child get back on track and then you take them out and you talk HORRIBLE about our school but you didnt also let them know that JCA got your child to where they are today...really without the help of my ALUMNI your child would be back in the same predicment they were in before they came.....but i wont get further into that nonsense with you...I recall plenty of times when my mom struggled to keep me in school but never did Mrs Colbert tell me that i had to lea... I have been apart of this school for over 3 years, and there have been ups and downs of the school, you get it every where you go. Everything is not going to be peachy every where you go. If you want your child brought up according to Gods Holy Word with discipline, structure and love, then JCA is the place to be, but if you want a place where your child can not be told anything by authority, without you getting upset, are if you never spend time in your childs class to observe what goes on, the school will only see you when your upset about something that did not go your way, then your right JCA is not the place for you. This school requires parent involvement, obedience from your child and you, and has the resources available, it made not be some big and shiny facility, but I believe its what's inside that counts and what comes out, I can say that my child has been an honor student attending this school, and has been reading since preschool, compared to other students his age in publi... I can not recommend this school due to its lack of integrity, lack of financial satiability, and lack of direction The leaders of he school Mr. and Mrs. Colbert have great intentions but, that's about it. This school has been face with closing due to lack of funds many times. Its really seem to have the support of a local church; however, I?m not sure they are aware of what?s really happen here. This school also have a lot of illegal actions that take place and it?s not a place for students to be in Bottle line: This is listed as a Christian School but it?s hard to find something Christian about it. Also, I have checked and the classes are run by non professional, teachers with non-certification (please ask to see this --they will lie about it) Moreover, many good teachers have quit in the middle of the school year and parents have been asked to find-in. And, this school is often under staffed as well. The good: The owners try to help students who are at risk of not make it in a ... Read more

MY CHILD HAS ATTENDED THIS SCHOOL FOR 2 YEARS AND I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANY PARENT FOR THEIR CHILD (REN). THE SCHOOL APPARENTLY IS SUFFERING FINANCIALLY AND EXPECT THE PARENTS TO GIVE THEM MORE MONEY AND THE BOTTOM LINE THEY HIRE TEACHERS AND STAFF, LET THEIR CHILDREN ATTEND FREE AND THEN HARASS OTHER PARENTS FOR MORE MONEY, I ASSUME ON BEHALF OF THE NON-TUITION PARENTS. MRS. COLBERT WALK THE HALLWAYS WITH A PADDLE AND ACTUALLY SPANK KIDS, SHE TRY HER BEST TO OBTAIN THE TITLE OF "JOE CLARK" I GUESS YOU CAN CALL HER "BAT WOMAN". I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS SCHOOL. WHO'S MANAGING THE MONEY, WHO'S STEALING THE MONEY, AND WHY ISN'T IT IMPORTANT TO GIVE YOUR STUDENTS A BETTER FACILITY. OOH THEY ARE EXTREMELY NICE WHEN YOU FIRST REGISTER YOUR CHILD BUT WAIT AFTER YOU AGREE TO THEIR TERMS ON PAYING TUITION, THEY WILL WALK RIGHT PASS YOU IN THE HALLWAYS AS IF YOUR NON EXISTANCE. I TRULY DO ADMIRE MR. COLBERT HE'S VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ALWAYS GREATS YOU WITH A SM... Read more

I have been a parent of Jehovah-Jireh Christian Academy for over 15 years and thank God for sending me to become a part of a community where you feel "at home" and secure in knowing your children are well cared for. I want to say to Mr. Ricks and Mrs. Ricks, "heads up" "you're tops". You have been a blessing to our athletic department and as a teacher. You were entrusted with my children and I know they were in great hands. I thank God for the opportunity to get to know you and your family. Helpful, loving, caring, loyal, dependable, giving, and etc. I don't know the person the other review is describing. Thanks for becoming a part of our family Jehovah-Jireh and allowing us to become a part of yours. Hats off to you Mr. and Mrs. Colbert! Thank you for all the sacrifices you have made and for giving us 25 years of service to the Baton Rouge community. Love ya! Teachers and staff, what an awsome crew you are!
