Janus GO FARTHER ,I suggest they change this slogan to GO BACKWARDS. I 'll give you a good advice .Stay away from investing in stocks or funds unless it is 401K. I got in back in 1999 , when the stocks were doing so good That I almost invested all my life savings in Janus mutual funds. Back then I did not know anything about stocks. As soon as Bush became president I watched my hard earned money going down the drain.I am glad I did not put all my money in these funds. This was worse than gambling which I 've never done. I lost close to 30% in less than 3 months , and then came 9/11 and I lost another 30% I invested 30000.00&I watched it going down to 7000.00 in one year.I wish it was only the money that I was losing ,but I was also unhappy and mad all the time.My wife noticed that I was always in a bad mood.I had to hang in till jan 2009,and I said enough is enough .So I cashed my funds which totaled about 16700.00 after 10 years.Do the math!.Luckily, when I was investing in stocks,... I've lost well over 50% of my initial investment in two Janus funds (Mercury and Olympic) in the past five years - and now that the economy is beginning to turn around, Janus isn't.

Janus is coming back down to Earth after several years of phenominal earnings. Overall I think those individuals who ride this Bear out will fare better than those guessing who can be the next Janus. As a finance major, I would like to see more diversification in thier funds. This is not a good time to be locked into one sector. As an accountant I also would like to see Janus reopen and/or modify existing funds prior to opening new ones. A new fund needs new staff, new IT, and more overhead. Let's get real now, compensate for this market and make some money.

Okay, now that all of you Janus-Lovers have watched your money tank, I'm curious about how much hyperbole you have now! If the folks at Janus would pay more attention to managing their funds and less attention to getting themselves in the media, I might not have lost over 40% of my money in Enterprise! As soon as [if?] it ever comes back up, it's "hasta la viva" Janus!

I've been in up to 6 Janus funds. Overall, the performance has been acceptional. Their customer service is the best. I am concerned about their concentration in tech, only. Since now is a good time to be in DOW, and Medical stocks, Janus is lacking in this diversification. I have asked the Customer service rep about, but they don't reveal their current holdings. If I could switch some of my funds to a sector fund, in DOW or Medical's, I'd be happier. At this time, I'm undecided about my direction. I may pull some of my money out and go elsewhere.

Janus has great funds and great customer service too! Some times they can be beaurocratic with the forms, but I imagine they can all be that way. Their Web site is helpful too.

Consistently one of the most reliable of the Mutual Fund Families. I highly recommend Janus, especially if you are a first timer or ameteur investor. They do the work for you, and they have the credentials, experience and excellent reputation behind them.

I've been investing in Janus funds for about three years now, and the experience has been great. Even in this ridiculous bull market, Janus funds manage to exceed expectations, almost across the board. I invested in Janus Worldwide and Janus Global Technology, both of which have done extremely well. The Global Technology fund, in particular, has skyrocketed (although the recent correction brought it somewhat back down to earth). Janus' next big challenge is to prove they can consistently excel in a bear market as easily as they excelled in a bull market.
