Now this is just a review on standard jameson because i love the 12 18 and gold years.I had jameson for the first time about 4 years ago and it was my go to whiskey, but these days I think its a perfect example of supply and demand where the quality of product has slipped and im not talking to the people that just take shots of this stuff to get drunk, but the ones who truely enjoy irish whiskey. And you know who you people are..! I wont settle for and jameson product under 12 years these days. Its just not up to par anymore.

As a fan of big bold Scotch whiskys I find this to be delightful. Very delicate, I noticed some ginger and spicy notes with this one, It sort of reminds me of the warmth of the fireplace on a winters'night. Don't ruin this whiskey with ice. just a couple drops of cold water, if that. If you insist on mixing this, I would recommend ginger ale or 7-up, it doesnt really work with cola.

This is good, and sadly it's the most readily available Irish whiskey. In a lot of places, pubs included, this is the only Irish whiskey available. It's good, but lacks the complexity I usually look for. All too often I can't tell the difference between Jameson and another "cheap" American bourbon or Canadian whiskey. I'm sure that this is rail whiskey in Ireland, comparable to the Phillip's whiskey that we see in rails here in the USA.

This is the Gold standard for blended Irish Whiskeys. It is a good everyday pain/stress reliever and may just be the love of my life.

Jameson is the direct way to my heart. When I need to relax and forget about the stresses of my life nothing is better than a Jameson on the rocks for me. It's so smooth and subtle and never ever let's me down. And if I'm not feeling as stressed, a Jameson and ginger is the next best thing. Lighter and not quite the same punch as on the rocks, but nonetheless it lacks nothing and never disappoints. Plus, in this economy, a flask of Jameson smuggled into a club goes a loooong way :) And keeps money in your pockets!

Makes that morning cup of coffee that much tastier! Good whiskey for sipping on the rocks. I haven't mixed it a whole lot, but I'm sure it is great for that too.

Good priced every day drinking Irish. I prefer it neat myself. It's a bit sweet and not as complex as some other blends (J.W. Black, or even Bushmills Black come to mind in superiority), but it's about the best bang for the buck if you want to spend less than $35 for a liter. I've not mixed it, as I'm not much on mixing, I enjoy the whiskey for what it is. This was actually my first whiskey and I think it's a good introduction to whiskey for someone who's never had it. If you want an excellent Irish try Redbreast 12yr (or 15yr, should you be able to find it), Connemara, Bushmills 10yr, or even the older Jameson. But, if you want to able to enjoy a decent dram most of the week get a big bottle of Jameson. I believe they even sell it in ~4L bottles that resemble milk jugs, handle and all. All and all, best deal for an aged spirit out there, if you don't mind sweet.

This is the very water of life. Sliante.  Not to say there aren't better Irish whiskies, which there certainly are, but this is the only good one available where I live, so my tastes have become simplified.

Excellent whiskey.  Easy to drink, very smooth with a good flavor.  I always have a bottle of it around.  It mixes well but is one of the few whiskey's I will drink neat.

better than bushmills original, but regular jameson is nothing special to me.  To watery in taste and in thickness.  I have not yet tried the 12yr, but i do hear that it is one of the best irish whiskies.

I saw a lot of this getting served too but gave it a low rating just because I don't like whiskey.

Another good choice in Irish whisky. A little more character than Bushmills.

The only whiskey that's like dessert to me. Sweeter and smoother than most. I rarely drink whiskey, though...unless, like yesterday, it's St. Patrick's Day. I avoid it because whiskey, true to its stereotype, makes me feel pissed off. And I'd prefer to get pissed off for a reason. I'll let the connoisseurs sniff more carefully, but if it's got to be whiskey, it's Jameson's for me.

I like it part for the taste and part for sentiment. I remember the Jameson reference in The Last Hurrah. That was the first I'd heard of it, and I was a fan since. I suppose that was about 1955.

Superb. Has a surprisingly delicate and complex flavor for fire-water. The best of the easily-available Irish whiskies in the U.S.

Man this is great stuff. I just love it. I'm actually drinking it right now! I buy more Jameson than any other whisky. Outside of my single malt preferences, this is as good as it gets. Exceptionally smooth, it slips down a treat and leaves you longing for more.

Always a tastie "tip" of the bottle or the flask....great around the bomb fire, or watching a game on a chilly day. Very smooth.

There is simply nothing remarkable about Jameson's Irish Whiskey. It is pleasant but undistinguished. Even it's most ardent admirers couldn't claim that it is the best whiskey from Ireland. Out of the few that I've tasted, I'd say it's no better than 7th or 8th. I'm certainly not buying Jameson's when I can buy the much better Powers for $5 less a bottle. Jameson's bears the same relationship to Irish whiskey generally as Budweiser does to beer. It is not unpleasant, but I'm not about to drink it unless it's the only thing behind the bar. Why Pernod Ricard are pushing this brand instead of either Power's or Black Bush is baffling to me.

Jameson whisky is very smooth (triple distilled, you know) and makes a wonderful Irish coffee. The 12 year is even better, and don't miss a chance at the 18 year if you a lucky enough to get a shot at a glass. As good as the regular Jameson is, the 12 and 18 years are superb.

I hate this rating page, they should really separate the bourbons and whiskeys - there is a difference. This is my personal favorite of the whiskey's. The irish love their whiskey, and this is the preferred irish whiskey. A bit tastier than american whiskey's and perhaps a bit stronger in flavor. A good straight wiskey to drink.
