My second favorite team (aside the Bears) ~ but yet to show any CONSISTENT talent.  I know about the "any given Sunday" philosophy, but holy cats, at least bring something to the table.

You have to love their DT situation, and even their offensive line is looking up this year. Whether or not they play up to potential remains to be seen. Byron Leftwich is a good quarterback who rarely ever gets the respect he deserves. The only question marks for the Jags are the WR situation and the health of Fred Taylor. They have quality backups, but I don't think that Greg Jones, Alvin Pearman, LeBrandon Toefield, are Maurice Jones-Drew could carry the weight if Fred goes down again.

Let's be real fellas. The Jaguars are a decent team. The only thing keeping the Jags undefeated right now is the souped up Indy defense, and still they did well. In all reality, the Jaguars are one of the underated teams that will turn heads pretty soon. Even though they havn't been to the playoffs in a while, doesn't mean they suck. I've seen the teams play, and I know what teams suck. The Jaguars are not one of them. The Jagaurs are playoff bound, and you know it, so just shutup about that. If they don't get to the super bowl real soon, I will be astonished. Think about it. The Jaguars were the only ones to beat the Colts in Indy last year, and that was with a less than par defense. This year, though they lost, the Jags have a much better defense, unfortunately so do the Colts. And as for no offense, I don't think so guys. It looks like a pretty solid team if you ask me.

As a hardcore Titans fan, it was in our blood to hate the Jags. But now that Coughlin is gone, a mutual respect has been restored between the two teams(we hate the Giants now--HA!). The Jags are a good team and are improving with each season. I wish them well (except when they play the Titans). We're too busy hating the Ravens and Colts now......

Update time: the Jaguars defense rose into the top 10 in the league this past season and are primed for a run. Sure, Byron went through a trial by fire, but he survived and now, we are positioned to draft Roy Williams and complete the final piece of our Super Bowl puzzle.

Man what a suckhole team! These guys are close to the worst team in the league! Poor Byron "human sandwich" Leftwich got thrown into the lion's den because Brunell can't get it up anymore. Where the hell is Jimmy Smith and Fred Taylor? For crying out loud, help this kid out! Leftwich is getting creamed every game! When you look at him at the end of the game, he makes Patrick Ramsey's uniform look clean! The defense couldn't stop a junior high team from Montana, let alone an NFL-caliber one. Jack Del Rio was put in a bad situation, and it's getting worse by the week.

A new, determined, defensive minded head coach, a few key defensive signees, a healthier Fred Taylor, Mark Brunnel and Jimmy Smith doesn't equal Super Bowl, but can I hear playoffs? All they lack is a quality second receiver. Here's to a good draft.

Jack Del Who? I was skeptical at first, but when I read what the man has done... Hugh Douglass was a huge addition, as was Mike Peterson. With Fred Taylor's health on the upswing (hopefully), Mark Brunell and the man, JIMMY SMITH, Jacksonville may be looking at a 9-7, 10-6 record. Maybe a playoff birth with a strong draft.

JDR is bringing a stifline defense to J-Ville. Check it out: after an 11 year NFL career as a linebacker, Jack Del Rio went into coaching. He was a LB coach and assistant defensive coordinator for the Ravens in their stifling defense Superbowl year. In 2002, he was defensive coordinator for the Panthers, resurrecting their defense from 31st, or last, in 2001, to 2nd in 2002. Quite an accomplishment. And now, lo and behold, the Jaguars will possess the best defense in the league next year! Prepare for an a$$ whooping, NFL!

The best expansion team ever, Mark Brunell, Fred Taylor, Jimmy Smith and the West Coast Offense. I smell Superbowl.

With new coach Jack Del Rio, the Jags will have one WHOPPING defense! Couple that with super-accurate Mark Brunell, who's eager to try the West Coast Offense, and super-consistent great RB Fred Taylor, and super-good veteran WR Jimmy Smith (who hasn't been able to entirely fulfill his potential lately because teams always double cover him on account of him not having a good #2 receiver to complement him) and you've got Superbowl material! I guess you'd actually have to quadruple that, since I mentioned 3 players. LOL.

They have the talent and potential to go all the way but they seriously need to stop getting the jitters when they go to the playoffs.

Lived in Jacksonville when the team was founded and began playing. The town was STARVING for football and really came alive when the team began playing. The crazy twist is/was - "These guys are PRETTY DANG GOOD!" They are coached by one of the greatest coaches I have ever seen. In a sea of professional millionare cry-babys, this team harkens back to the days when players had to behave themselves, get thier hair cut and show up ready to win.
