Wed Sep 10 2008We stayed at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort for five days last summer. The scenery was gorgeous. The camp sites were clean and moderately ...

Thu Jan 19 2006The only bad thing about Jackson Hole is the lift lines keep getting longer every year, and they are starting to approach Colorado's lines on big powder days. Don't come here if you want to ski/board miles of groomed runs, because they're not to be found. If you can't handle the deep powder, the trees, the steeps, the cliff bands, the out-of-bounds, you're gonna be left sitting in the lodge or get bored on the few groomers fast. There is ENDLESS amazing terrain, it's just not for you fashion bunnies. If you like Whistler or Crested Butte, you might be able to handle it here. Otherwise, stick to Summit County, CO and leave this place to the faithful.

Thu Oct 14 2004The Scene It's impossible to really describe the sensation of standing beneath the Tetons and looking up at the severe rocks that are--in spite of the name--anything but maternal. Imagine, then, the feeling of skiing down the same range just five miles away. At the summit of the resort (10,450 feet), look south and you will see the Gros Ventre (grow-vont) mountain range, while the Grand Teton National Park is to the East. The Resort Depending on the weather, the resort is usually open from early December to April, and gets about 400 inches of annual snowfall. Ten lifts service 2,500 skiable acres across two mountains, which offer 50% difficult, 40% intermediate and 10% easy runs. The vertical drop of 4,139 feet is the greatest continuous rise in the United States--that's three times the size of the Empire State Building.

Wed Jul 14 2004The hole has the best snowboarding! The terrain is absolutely wicked, you cant find more vertical and pow! Once you pull into Jackson you absolutely fall in love with the place and never want to leave. People there are way chill. There is never long lines for the lifts, and never to many people on the mountain, because its so huge. Everyone should board or ski the Hole atleast once in their life. You will never regret it!!!!!!!

Mon Jan 06 2003JH is a great resort & place to ski...but it is not a place for beginners, especially when it is packed ice. The second run of the day, I tore my ACL and it turns out that there were a few others who also did the same.

Thu Jan 02 2003I have skied all over the world and there is no better place. They always have fresh powder, the people are amazing and the skiing is tough as can be. There are never lift lines and the skiing is wide open. It's the perfect place to ski!

Sun Dec 01 2002Jackson Hole is by far the best skiing in this country! The terrain is difficult, the snow is great and the crowd is minimal compared to other skiing destinations. The mountain is big and it is not easy so only the experienced will be able to enjoy what JH has to offer. There are some bunny slopes, but not that many. The town is great so are the restaurants and the views are amazing. Doesn't have the ritz of a Vail or an Aspen, but according to me, those are just wannabe mountains anyway.

Sat Nov 16 2002Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is the best skiing in the nation. It has everthing from bunny hills to expert terrain. It has a terrain park, wonderful ski school and many other benefits. Jackson Hole has its own airport, so it really isn't that far out of reach. It also doesn't have the huge crowds and lines of other main ski areas. So you can get on the lift and have space coming down.

Mon Nov 11 2002Jackson hole if you are a serious skier is by far the best mountain in the country. If you want a real skiing experience that rivals the alps or Whistler than this is the only place that can match up.California is too warm, utah is too crowded and Colorado never has enough snow. This place stays cold which equates to good snow consistency and good conditions all of the time.Temperature never gets above 20 in february so make sure you dress warm. But because of this cold you can always count on the snow being the best in the country.Dropping in under the tram and skiing the Hobacks I will never forget. The vertical is the largest in the country and believe me you will know that you have been skiing after a day at the Hole.

Mon Nov 11 2002amazing runs, amazing snow - the best resort ive ever skied. however this resort is not for beginner skiers, as it offers some of the most challenging runs in america, and has often been voted the most exillerating place to ski. but if you are of a reasonable standard this place is perfect. it has a great town with some really good restaurants and stores.

Mon Nov 11 2002There simply is no better skiing in the United States. This is it. The mentality of the locals and those who adopt it upon arrival combined with the limitless ski-able area and perfect snow make it the kindest place on earth.

Mon Nov 04 2002Not a family resort! Jackson has the best skiing I've found in the U.S. Steep, deep runs abound. Best to have a local tour guide to find the shots and keep you from going where you shouldn't.
