The juicer is easy to put together (1 minute) and easy to take apart (30 seconds). It is a bit of a pain to clean out several peices after every use, and indeed the customer service is scandelous. The thing works though, and you get your juice without the pulp.

I am not the type of person to buy products off infomercials, but this Juicer seemed like a great deal at a time in my life when I wasnt getting enough vegtables in my diet. I was also drawn in to the fact that Jack LaLanne is a 90 year old vegetarian, so he obviously knows his stuff. This juicer is a pretty solid "First Juicer" for beginners who are completely new to this lifestyle. Yes, it is a lifestyle... when you start, you will have a very hard time stopping!! Its a fairly simple juicer to use and clean and consistantly gave a perfect blend. I have previous reveiwed this product, elswhere and dont feel like repeating myself again, but in general i would reccommend this juicer. The reason for this review is to share my experience with the customer service department. 100% Factual, True Story June 3rd 2009 A small peice on the pulp collector melted in the washing machine, which is extremely important, otherwise the machine wont even start. (After about 6 months of usage) J... Read more

I'm shocked by the good reviews for this thing. I suppose if you are only juicing small apples and small carrots it would be fine. I should have done more research before "upgrading" to this machine. By appearance it looks industrial. I've only used it twice and am very disappointed with it and plan to return it. I juiced Kale which was almost impossible and got gummed up; carrots were difficult - they were moving constantly because the part that pushes them down is too long so you can't stabilize the carrots while they are juicing; cucumber ended up sideways and so a large piece of skin kept was lodged on the blade and kept other veggies from juicing properly. All in all a bad experience. Don't waste your money on this one.

I am so glad I bought it from [...] because I can return it. As a first time juicer buyer, I was really excited and had high hopes. After blending fruits and squeezing the liquid using cloths manually several times, I realized that it's time to buy a juicer. I knew that this is a budget juicer, but what happened to me is simply unacceptable. First I juiced oranges yesterday, and it was great. I was happy. Then today, I tried granny apples. The apples were big so I cut them into quarters. In the first place, 1/4 of an apple got stuck horizontally in the chute. I was mildly annoyed but it is not the machine's fault. After clearing the chute, I put slices of carrots. The machine began to make really loud noises and it smelled like the motor was burning. Then a little bit of black power flew down the faucet. At first, I wondered if they were some portions of carrots ... but it was not possible because I washed all the carrots and peeled most of hard skins off before putting ... Read more

I think this is a fairly good juicer; but, the pusher was broken when I received it. It fills up with water when I wash it and the water stays inside the pusher without being able to come out. Customer service said I would have to pay 4.99 plus shipping and handling for a new pusher even though it was defective by their fault. They told me I would have to pack the whole machine and return it to where I purchased it if I would not agree to pay for a defective part that was their fault. I also gave it the 1 star rating because most of the machine is plastic made in China. Toxins from the plastic could supposedly leach into your juice. Also, toxic customer service is not a plus either.

I bought this juicer from [...]. I got te deluxe version but it didn't have ALL the extras given when purchased from the juicer site or other sites. It only came with the following: 1 pusher 1 blade 1 blade crescent screwdriver 1 filter brush 1 cd 1 power juicer deluxe operating manual 1 "Secrets of Power Juicing" recipe book 1 "Recipes for healthy living" book The price I purchased this for was under [...] so I don't mind that I didn't get whatever "extras" other sites offered. I had ended up burning out the motor on the juicer after juicing 1 large carrot. I thought it was overheating and waited 20 minutes to let the unit cool down and also emptied out the pulp from the carrot. The unit turned on but it didn't really sound as if the blade was turning. So I pressed down harder and this caused the unit to actually start smoking. I immediately unplugged it. Allowed it to cool down some more and then placed it back in the box to return it to Costco. I was extremel... Read more
