Islamic "Honor" Killings

What is "honor" killing? Well, it is when a young Islamic woman besmirches the family "honor." This can be anything from having sex outside marriage (say, to a boyfriend) to simply talking to a man or even getting raped. Then, to restore the family "honor" a close relative (father, brother, mother, sister) will brutally murder the poor girl/woman in cold blood, restoring the family "honor." Thousands of these "honor" killings occur every year.
