Thu Sep 16 2010Next time I go in for a procedure to "find" out this mystery that's taken over my life, left me suffering for the past year, I'll take everything they tell me not too take, and hopefully finally be out of this pain and suffering...man, you take small things like walking for granted then poof one day you can't walk and your suffering so bad , and bedridden in pain for a year and no doctor knows wtf is wrong with you...but I seen so many die, don't think any were painless...maybe at the end, but suffered before they died...too young to die, yet too old too suffer anymore...time to go!!

Sun Jul 25 2010I want a morphine IV every night just in case some crap like this happens to me so I won't be the ONE GUY that wakes up in the middle of it.

Mon May 17 2010I think everybody wants this. Boring. Personally I want to be run over by a tank driven by Batman, but sadly, that's not a List Item. Bummer.

Thu Feb 25 2010Definitely the most appealing for me. If it should happen just about an hour before I get old, that would be perfect.

Sun Jan 31 2010As peaceful a death as that would be...I admit I am scared of simply slipping away. I don't want to die alone, I do have a deathly fear of being alone (deathly...notice the pun? haha) so...sleeping while acceptable as a way to die would not be what I chose if I got to choose.

Mon Jan 04 2010It's an old joke but worth repeating - I want to die like my father died, quietly in his sleep, not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car.

Tue Apr 28 2009One, it would be relatively pain free.... two, no violence, just never wake up. Its how I hope I die. My dad died in his sleep. At least I know, that he didn't suffer.

Thu Jan 01 2009My Uncle died on December 6th with his wife, chidren and grandchildren in the room. They all watched him close his eyes. In 1991 my grandmother died in my mother's arms right after saying "I wish the Lord would take me now".In the human experience, death is never a good thing; but passage can be peaceful.

Thu Jan 01 2009This list was always a little dubious, but its long since been the province of teenage twits and twerps from facebook and from other juvenile minds trying to make a macho point. Unlike, I suspect, most of you, I've seen people die. Seven of them, in different ways from different causes, and none of them died easy, or peaceful, or without fighting for one more instant of existance. Dying, from whatever cause, is never pretty, almost always without dignity or pride, and is nothing, I repeat NOTHING like movies.

Thu Jan 01 2009Okay...think about it. The only ones that know (or think) that you died in your sleep are the ones who find you...and you may not have died in your sleep, at all...you may have died a painful, terrifying death from stroke, heart attack, or fear before you even fell asleep. There's no guarantee that dying in bed will be like a Hollywood death, where you wrap up the sum of your life in the last few moments...peacefully...with violins playing. Seems to me that the odds of cashing it in precisely when you're asleep are remote and that anything intense enough to cause your death would wake you up...

Tue Aug 19 2008This is the most preferrable way to die for many people, and for me as well. You have sweet dreams, and you just go away to another world. No suffering, no pain, just smooth transition from the "temporary" death to the "permanent" one.

Thu Jul 10 2008Well I'm going to bed right now, so this might just be my last-ever review if I give this too high a rating... I can certainly think of worse ways to die, to be honest. It beats a disgusting, gory or hideously painful and drawn-out death...
by debali_cious
Thu Jul 10 2008another not too bad of a way to go
