I moved from NJ to NYC last week and decided to go with Imperial Moving because of all their great reviews. First of all, they got to my apt an hour and a half early. I was worried that I was not yet prepared for the move out but Juan, the foreman reassured me that they would help me with everything. Juan, Jose and Sam did an amazing job getting everything wrapped, packed and organized in no time. After that we got to my new apt and within an hour everything was in place with zero problems, damages or stress. The whole time, the team was courteous and helpful. They said thank you and excuse me for everything they needed. I felt like a queen! I later asked Avi, the manager if they could help me get some things from Ikea some other day. Avi said that I can have Sam go with me that same day and he will help me assemble my new furniture. After living in NYC for 10 years and moving myself with the help of friends 5 times; I decided to hire movers for the 6th move in those 10 years. This was the best decision I made all year thanks to Imperial. Ilo and his team were so fast it took my breath away. Even with a hard to reach freight elevator involving 2 sets of stair to access it at my new building they exceeded all of my expectations. These guys were fantastic! Very friendly & most importantly...very fast! This is the best purchase I have made in a long time!

I have moved many times, in and out of state, it's very draining - this company was recommended to me and I double checked on the Better Business Bureau site before I contacted them...(They have an A+ Rating) It was one of the smoothest and professional group of gentlemen. Juan, the Crew Leader, explained everything that needed to be explained - and the rest of the Crew - Jose, Santos and Jose did their job well and we very helpful when I needed a little help. No one piece was broken and my newly painted walls were never touched! I would recommend them to business assoicates, friends and my Family. That says it all for me. We had a good exprience with Imperial Moving. We had also received quotes from Flatrate and Moishes after they performed an on-site survey. Imperial went only by the inventory I gave them. Flatrate came at $250 more than Imperial and they had more negative reviews so we chose Imperial. Moishe's quote was thirteen hunded dollars more than Imperial, but their services included full packing of our stuff (so we wouldn't have to pack in advance) plus the cost of boxes. They dropped their estimate $600 when I showed them the lower quotes from Flatrate and Imperial, which makes me think they were trying to rip me off in the first place by quoting me an inflated rate... on the day of the move, tthe Imperial crew showed up 45mins early (yes, early, I was surprised too). We had to pay $22 extra in tolls, a charge that wasn't brought up when we received the estimate. I am writing to let you know how unbelievable impressed I was with the move. Firstly, Yuval was so positive and completely accommodating in his willingness to make this totally last minute move happen. He was friendly, polite and totally competent. Carlos was unbelievable. His attitude was nothing short of inspiring. The move was very complicated and under a time limit (because the storage locker facility was closing). Carlos (and Fredo) were complete responsive and worked triple duty to get us out as soon as we could. Its really the positive attitude that I am so thankful for. Moving is so tough and to be around folks that not only know how to really bust their chops but do so with a positive attitude made the move so much better than I could have ever expected. I have much respect for Imperial. They really know something about managing a company and hiring employees.

I was extremely pleased with Imperial Moving and Storage, who moved me on March 8, 2010 from Morris Plains (New Jersey) to West 106th Street in Manhattan. I arranged the move with Danny on a Sunday in February. I was very pleased with Danny's friendly professionalism and reassuring helpfulness. Then, on the day of the move, Juan Cevallos and his team (David, Jose, and Isaiah) added to my positive impression. Juan and his team were professional, incredibly efficient, and -- perhaps most importantly -- very respectful of me and my family as individual people and folks who worried about worldly belongings. I would provide them with my highest overall recommendation... And, I would also recommend their service to anyone needing or requiring the full level of services that should be available from a professionally orientated 'moving' services company.

These guys were fantastic. They did a two-day job in one day, and never complained about our 400 cartons of possessions (mostly heavy boxes of books). We highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. I've used other movers, but these are the best.

I am so happy I chose Imperial Movers and Storage. I researched many moving companies and was nervous about which company to choose. They all made promises and it's hard to tell which will keep them or not. Imperial was recommended by a friend and I didn't know much at first..until I googled them and found about 90 glowing reviews on Citysearch. After reading the real stories from customers like myself. I was sold. I canceled all my other pending quotes. Imperial Movers made a difference from the start by working and being flexible with my complicated moving details. When we planned our move, we thought it was going to be a nightmare. We boxed up everything we could, but we still had our furniture out, everything was a mess and we thought we were screwed. Fortunately we called Imperial Movers!! They sent over five guys who moved me, my GF and two cats out of my FIFTH FLOOR WALK UP in an hour and a half. I've never seen anyone work faster than this crew. There was even one mover who carried down my television on his BACK, all five flights. They wrapped up our furniture, got everything into the truck, drove to the new place and unloaded everything. The entire move took about three hours and it was amazing. The men were nice, polite and even funny and joking around, it was a great experience. Thanks for all your help in making our move better than we could have ever imagined!!

Excellent moving experience. They sent 4 guys who packed up my pretty large bedroom in a few hours and moved me in and helped me unpack into my new place. Very professional, and pricing is competitive vs. other movers in the city. I would definitely recommend to friends.

Imperial was recommended to me by a friend who used Them earlier this year, and they were amazing. When I called the office, Yuval was able to get me a quote in real time, he made sure I understand everything about the quote, and was very helpful in setting up everything with the buildings. Then on move day, Juan, and his team were all hardworking, professional, and careful. I am impressed with all of them, It was just an unbelievable job all around. I felt proud to tip these guys, not just because they worked so hard and were such professionals, but also because it was an amazing show of strength. I plan to ask for the same team next time I'll move.

I've used several movers in NYC including Flat Rate and Noahs. My experience with Flat Rate were hidden charges (regardless of it be "flat rate") and an unhappy moving team who almost left my belongings on the side of the road. Re Noahs, they damaged furniture so badly and then, tried to leave without informing me of it. Neither of these was the case with Imperial Moving. My foreman, Henry, rocked! He has years of experience and moving down to a science, knowing how to get from Point A to Point B in the most efficient time. He effectively and professionally works with his team to get the job done on time. The only glitch I ran into was the incorrect address being entered into the system but was caught when confirming move 24 hrs. in advance. Ask for Henry -- he's the best foreman!

I hired Imperial to help me move out of my one bedroom apt earlier this month and we were very pleased with the results. Everything went according to plan with no curveballs. The movers were very professional and good to deal with. I will definitely be using Imperial again for my next move.

I am writing this letter in order to lavish high praise to the staff of Imperial Moving Company. I recently faced a very difficult moving situation (I literally did NOT know where I was going to be moving to until 4 days ahead of the scheduled move date) and I found that booking my move with Yuval couldn't have been any better than it was. He was very patient with me as we walked through the items that needed to be moved, and we went through a variety of scenarios where everything would end up safely moved in the end. I found him to be very responsive with regards to staying in communication with me, as well as the condo management company where I was moving from, and as a result, I was easily able to secure the appropriate moving permits. I really enjoyed working with imperial movers. They were quick, efficient, and very nice and polite. The team took great care of all of my belongings and moved my thing out and in to my new apartment very quickly. I'd definitely recommend Imperial to anyone who needs a mover. Overall I had a great experience on my move.

I had a move scheduled for 1pm and received a phone call after 3pm from the Moving Team that they had just finished the job before me and would be on their way shortly. It became all too clear at 3:30 when they called to say they were on their way for real that I would be unable to move within the guidelines of the building I was supposed to be moving into. I called the office and let them know the situation and instead of an apology, I was met with rudeness as if the situation were my fault. I requested a specific time and a discount (really, I think I was entitled to one since I had to take yet another day off work), which he did grant me. I really can't stress how unprofessional this person's behavior was through the entire process, I do not recommend this company.

Imperial Moving made my move simple, easy, and efficient. Their prompt and reliable support allowed me to relax through the process. The movers were extremely courteous. They were able to expedite my remaining packing, while keeping my move within their estimated time frame. I did a search on the internet to find a moving company to move a very heavy upright player piano from Newburgh, NY to Clarksville, TN. I specified that I would like to be contacted by e-mail by the companies and Michael at Imperial was the only one that did not call me repeatedly instead of e-mailing. He was great to work with and the movers were very professional and careful. I would highly recommend Imperial Movers to anyone considering a move because I was afraid of hiring a company with whom I was not familiar with, but I was pleasantly surprised!!!!

Imperial Moving made my moving experience so easy. They were professional and helpful prior to the move. The day of the move, they came on time and were very fast. They did not rush the process - they just were quick and paid a lot of attention to handling the furniture well. They ensured that all our furniture and boxes were kept intact and in good condition. They were also very friendly. I've never had a move that was so incredibly easy before. They definitely made the experience enjoyable. I would definitely recommend them as well as use them again.

My first move using a moving company was easy. Imperial Movers (Yuval in particular) put my mind at ease with his professional attitude and service. The skilled movers moved me damage free in the time quoted with no surprises! I recommend using Imperial for all your moving needs.

My move from New York to Kentucky was made extremely smooth by the professional job done by Henry, Jose and Tino. I must say they were great. They were very professional, did their job so well that I had to ask Henry how long he had been in the bisiness, and he said 3 yrs if I remember correctly. Somebody moved from an apartment next to mine two days prior, and while the moving company that moved them started @ 8am, they were not finished till after 6pm. Henry & Co started @ 1pm, and by 5pm the last item was on the truck and necessary papers signed. They arrived minutes before the time agreed upon, did their job expertly fine, unloaded in KY the next day as agreed. Nothing was broken, and nothing was missing. Will not hesitate to refer this crew to friends and anybody visiting this site.

These movers were excellent. They carefully, but very quickly packed up our boxes and furniture pieces. Even our most prized possessions were unharmed. I would recommend these movers, hands down, to anyone, and have recommended them. The rates they charge are very competitive and from my research, the least expensive. It was obvious that the individual booking the move for us, as well as the movers who moved our belongings, were most concerned that we were completely satisfied with the move, which we were.

My moving was handled professionally. They arrived 5-10 minutes early and picked up everything within one hour. I was worried a little bit that they will be late on delivering my stuff in the destination since I have to go out of town but after I told Yuval about the date I intended them to come, they really delivered my stuff within the desired date. There are no serious damaged on the good, except just 1 table leg but the table is not expensive at all and it is easily fixed too. Overall, I will definitely used them again considering their dependability and their quote is very reasonable.

Were easy to deal with on the phone in planning the move. The crew showed up on time and worked really efficiently. They moved a piano and an antique chest without any damage. They were also very pleasant. They were right on with their estimate! I have had 2 bad experiences with other movers charging double what they said they would and damaging things.... Imperial really made me happy by sticking to their extremely reasonable estimate and doing a really good job!

Imperial Movers has been the best moving company we have ever used. The foreman and his crew were very punctual, professional, cordial, efficient, and very caring with our belongings. I am very satisfied with the price we paid and I would definitely recommend Imperial Moving to any of our friends. We plan to use them again when we move our belongings from their storage facilities to our new home.

I used Imperial for a move from New-York City to Boston, and it was by far the best movers I ever used. Those guys are great, they quoted me a price based on my inventory, and they were very accurate with their estimate. I was extremely satisfied with the service, The movers worked very hard, and they took great care of my furniture, everything was covered with blankets, and for the fragile items they used bubble wrap as additional protection. My only suggestion is for the movers to have GPS units (or some quality maps) during a long distance move to aid in navigating in unfamiliar neighborhoods.

I spent a few hours researching moving companies and im glad I found these guys. They arrived on time I thought it was nice that they called ahead of time to let me know that they were on their way, thanks to Michael. There werent any problems throught out the entire move. Elo, the foreman was great convincing me not to worry. They helped me pack a few bags very securely. The furniture was properly wrapped, not one piece was left with a scratch unlike my last move that was a nightmare with a few missing items as well. The guys moved very quickly even though it took longer than expected. One improvement would be to have an electric or rechargeable drill, instead of manual, which took too long to take off the legs of the couch so it could fit thru. These guys are very much into customer satisfaction and it shows!! Thanks again Ronnie

True to his excellent customer service when we first met, he apologized for the issues I experienced and worked with me to rectify the problems. Imperial sent a repairman to fix the antique chest. We worked out a satisfactory compromise on the unpacking charges. Customer service is very important to Imperial and they really showed it. Original: After receiving quotes of comparable prices from several moving companies, I selected Imperial based on the reviews here. Met with Dan and liked his customer service but things went downhill when the crew arrived. I?ve spent some time looking for a moving company & I decided to choose Imperial Moving&Storage. I?ve heard so many bad stories about movers in NYC so I was prepared for the worst. I was just waiting for the day of my move to have it done... And here comes the surprise:) These guys were just great!!!!! I have to say that they were working in unusual circumstances - it was freezing outside & our street was closed due to road works that day, so their truck had limited access to my building!!!!! Henry and his 2 guys moved my apartment within 3 hours as agreed on the phone. They started at 9:30 & finished at 12:35 - I was impressed!!! They were so professional, so fast & hardworking; these guys really know what they are doing!!!!! I will definitely recommend them to my friends!!!!!!

We finally decided on "Imperial Moving & Storage" and it was an absolutely great decsion. Michael came onsite and provided an onsite quote for us and Yuval ensured that all my questions/concerns were answered . He was extremely accomodating and he understood all of my concerns. Then moving day came and team showed up about 20 minutes early. Although we were moving from an elevator building, it was not under the best conditions. There were cars parked in our building's loading zone area and the team still managed to efficiently load all of our furniture and boxes (that they packed) negotiating the tiny spaces between parked cars without doing any damage. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN The purpose of this note is to share a positive testimony about our recent move which occured on the 17th January in Manhattan with a company called "Imperial Moving & Storage". We had heard many horror stories before about inexpensive moves that did not go well: "the company did not show up", "the guys were rude and impolite", "the moving guys charged more after all my stuff was already in the van", "there were hidden charges I was not told about", etc, .. However, our experience with Imperial was very positive for the following reasons: 1) The salesperson on the phone was friendly, polite and accommodating. He gave us a rate and always kept his word. I used Imperial moving during Thanksgiving Day weekend and the movers were helpful, trustworth and hardworking. I've moved several times in NYC and this was the best experience so far. We moved out of a brownstone and they had one man on each landing, plus one by the truck which made the move efficient and safe. I moved into a higher end elevator building and they respected all of the building rules and were not distruptive to other tenants. They were done by the allotted time and worked very hard. All breakable items were well taken care of. I would fully recommend using this company for your next move. P.S. They even showed up 30 minutes early!

i imagined a complete disaster, and they were amazing! Henry was quick yet thorough. Amazing service, perfect encounter....book them if ur concerned, this is definitely the way to move. trust me, im picky and annoying, and they were 100% professional and amazing!
