Of course I didn't agree with his staunch atheistic views, but I do remember him as being an overall pretty good reviewer.  His "third-person" bit was his trademark, so it would seem a bit odd if someone else decided to do it. It didn't start out really good with him, at first, but as time passed, he started warming up to me, then we started to get along -- yes, a Christian and an atheist!. That's proof alone that it is possible that two people with opposing viewpoints can get along. But, I do hope that he finds the Lord someday.

A thorough goofball, and I usually found him entertaining, although I've got to say that the plethora of typos in his postings made me crazy.

I'm sure he's on Facebook as we speak writing a handful of status updates every hour, in third person.

We had a few heated discussions. He defended his positions pretty well. IJR was a likable fellow.

Naturally, our opinions often diverged & we even crossed swords once or twice, but he was quite entertaining & contributed a lot of humor and variety to the site. One's appreciation of him would be greatly increased by reading Tooles book ( A Confederacy of Dunces) from which he took his handle.

I miss his reviews. he had a good sense of humor. I also liked the way he referred to himself in the third party{as MPR said} too bad things ended on a bad note. I would love to see him back on here.

IJR was a great guy. He was at one end of the "Faith" spectrum and I am at the other. He doubted every thing I believe in and proclaimed his atheist views as the only way. So why do I like him so much? He was honest and treated me with respect; the respect you should give to any warm blooded creature. He was fair and we often chatted behind the RIA scenes.

Using the IJR's beloved third person, GTH misses IJR and wishes he would return.

Very strong on his views, but he was entitled to his belief. As is everyone else to theirs.

I didn't agree with him half the time, and when I didn't agree with him a REALLY didn't agree with him, but I always enjoyed reading what he had to say. He presented himself well and actually said something to make his point rather than just spewing empty opinion. Plus, he was a Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy fan, and anybody that likes Douglas Adams can't be all bad. Don't forget your towel.

I know a lot of people thought highly of IJR, but he always seemed like a pompous blowhard to me.

four stars because IGR apparently was caught breaking some rules here. I sure miss his wit and humor though. He was always refering to himself in the 3rd person and though he could be strongly oppiniated, he meant every word.
