Wed Nov 18 2009This physician had two seperate and unique specialties, Neurology and Psychiatry. Although I have suffered from anxiety for most of my life, I didn't really understand it fully. I suffered from many physical symptoms that plagued me for years. I had seen cardiologists, ENT specialists, and gastroenterologists for the past five years, who kept running expensive tests on me and diagnosing me with different ailments. I was shot and I felt helpless. After several visits to Dr. sharon, i regained my confidence and I understood myself and my condition better. As a physician myself, i was impressed to the greatest degree with his acumen, his knowledge, and his mannerisms. He has a gift to heal !!! And his optimism is infectious! He is truly on the cutting edge, and most importantly, he cares and he has a good soul. I can't say enough about Dr. Sharon. And I couldn't recommend anyone more than him in all of NY for the neurological and psychiatric conditions in which he specializes.

Mon Aug 03 2009This doctor was able to explain the reasons for my symptoms, and reassure me when I was just recently diagnosed with my neurological condition. He has excellent relationships and connections with the best surgeons and specialists in the medical community, and even sent me for two more opinions. I didn't have to wait to see them at all. the medication I take now makes me feel completely normal and I don't suffer the way I used to. I have not had such a remarkable experience with any medical professional in my life!

Tue Jan 20 2009I work on Wall Street and before receiving treatment from Dr. Sharon I was afraid to take the train or bus, along with many other fears. Dr. Sharon has completely changed my life in a positive way. I am much happier and carefree. My phobias are gone and I do not feel apprehensive anymore. I struggled for so many years and it is amazing to have my life back again.

Mon Nov 17 2008I went to see Dr. Sharon for terrible migraines. I was having at least 2 a week, and it got to the point where I was having anxiety just at the thought of getting another one. Anyone who has ever had a severe migraine can empathize with my fear. It is the most excruciating pain I have ever experienced. One of my friends referred me to Dr. Sharon, because she went a long time ago and said he was very thorough and professional. I was so happy I went! He was extremely knowledgeable, and most importantly I haven't gotten a migraine in over 2 years. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't find him. I have been to other neurologists before, but they did not express the care or availability Dr. Sharon gives.

Fri May 09 2008Its not everyday you come across a doctor that truly cares about his patients. Dr. Sharon is caring and thorough with an amazing "bed side manner". His office is not like a clinic or a factory, it is private practice with all of the attention of one. He went out of his way to address my concerns, questions and issues. His staff was respectful, friendly and attentive. I was very impressed with Dr. Sharon and his office. In a world full of merry go round clinic type offices, I really felt this was an old fashioned doctors office with all of the modern advances we expect included.

Mon Jul 30 2007Making an appointment there is a nightmare. I was told in July that they were booked untiil after Christmas, and that they couldn't make an appointment for 2008 until October. I've never heard of a policy like this- is there then just a rush of people calling on 10/1 to get appointments in January? Does this mean that if one has an appointment in August, they don't get a followup for several months? I doubt the doctor would go for that, and my guess is that the receptionist was simply choosing to be unhelpful. This was reconfirmed by her "accidentally" hanging up on me twice, the long hold times, and then the line just being busy. Mind you, not for a second was I impolite to her, but I did question the logic here. Plus, I was not a new patient, but an existing patient. Dr. Sharon is great at what he does- maybe they really are booked that far ahead- but patients should be able to book for the future in the order in which they called. I found the whole ordeal with the receptionist to be... Read more

Tue Sep 12 2006expensive, long wait, takes few insurances, no answering service, however he is aggressive in his treatment and worth seeing despite those disadvantages. His treatment of anxiety disorders is extra-ordinary, and he commands trust!

Sat Jun 24 2006I consider myself the luckiest person in the world. Having a chance to meet Dr. Sharon and be his patient was the best thing that happened to me. He helped me so much with my anxiety and depression..... He gave me my happiness back. Before I became his patient I was miserable, now I am so happy and I enjoy my life to the fullest. He is worth more that million dollars. He is the most brilliant, intelligent and caring doctor that I know. He is so compassionate about his patient that you could say that he would take patients pain on himself if it was possible. Just GREAT the BEST BEST Doctor in the WORLD Thank you very much for giving me my life back. Old patient (cured one)

Wed May 24 2006Dr. Sharon is an amazing physician who has an impressive fund of knowledge in psychopharmacology and neuropharmacology. He is very optimistic, thorough, young, energetic, personal and quite brilliant. He has treated my son for A.D.H.D., my wife for Migraines and me for anxiety and insomnia. He also treated my grandmother for Alzheimer's and she is doing well seven years later. What else can I say?

Wed May 17 2006Doctor Sharon is the type of doctor that makes the "care" in "patient care" take on new meanings! Not only is Dr. Sharon deeply caring as a doctor but he's also extremely pleasant, gentle, and more knowledgable that several doctors that I've encountered in my life. He's up-to-date on all medications and disease states and does an excellent job in educating me as a patient! Dr. Sharon saw through my pains and anxieties and literally saved my life with his attentive and caring ways. He has the power to start to make people feel better by just meeting with him because you're not just a patient but someone who he will put at ease by his active interest in your well-being. It's sometimes hard to believe that a published doctor who's also a well-known lecturer could exist and be such a genuinely nice person but Dr. Sharon most certainly is!

Mon May 01 2006I highly recommend Dr. Sharon. After several appointments with other neurologists, Dr. Sharon was able to pinpoint the cause of my constant migraine and treat it without prescribing any addictive or contolled medications.

HE IS A GREAT DOCTOR AND I RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE (IF YOU CAN GET IN). HE IS PLEASANT AND PERSONABLE, aND THAT HE WAS VERY THOROUGH IN HIS WORK UP.

Thu Mar 23 2006I highly recommend this doctor. He helped my mother when no other doctor could. He was very confident in his diagnosis and made us feel better about the whole situation and inspired us along the way. My mother's condition was very grave, she had exhausting panic attacks, would not eat, sleep, leave the house. Doctor was patient and strict at the same time. We were able to reach him via e-mail with all the questions we had( and there were a lot) and he would reply to us at 7.15 in the morning ( I am not kidding). Overall, great doc, follow his advice word by word and you will be fine. Expensive, but worth every dollar.

Sun Feb 26 2006Dr Sharon is a very caring & consultative physician who truely believes in treating the person, not a patient. He takes the time to really listen and makes a point to be there if you need him: he returns his calls, not a staff member. That said, he is also highly knowledgabe and respected in his field. He is just a good choice!

Sun Feb 19 2006I started seeing Dr. Sharon about 2 years ago. I had such bad anxiety that it was affecting me everyday of my life. It got in the way of work and my social life. Dr. Sharon helped to pull me out of a very dark time and I will forever be grateful. He is so caring and committed..a rare find among the "wham bam" doctors out there who just want to get you in and out of their office. He is brilliant, caring and readily available. A wonderful doctor!!

Thu Dec 15 2005I am not an easy patient! I have had a tremendous amount of anxiety and panic attacks in the last few months and Thank G-d I found Doctor sharon. He is kind, considerate, compassionate and cares about his patients. When I was at my lowest he always encouraged me to be patient and reassured me that I will be fine. His convenient emailing made it easy to communicate even when he was off of work. His staff is kind and professional and always gets back to you. I highly recommend Dr. Sharon. Sat Nov 05 2005Dr.Sharon, was compassionate and understanding. His answers to my questions were honest and direct. What i found most comforting, was the access i had to Dr.Sharon via email. I could always count on a quick response from him.I always felt that the office was as accomodating as possible whenever I called. Dr. Sharon and his staff, were very encouraging during a painfully stressful period.I felt that they were there whenever i needed them. Dr.Sharon had an incrediably positive impact on my life. I am grateful that i was fortunate to have found him.
