I used it once, but ended up deleting it after being inundated with Cyber, Porn and Foreigners asking for money. Nevertheless, it had many valuable features. Maybe the problem I encountered has been addressed, but at the time, I had no use for it.

By far the best, but is hurt by the fact that many people don't use it. It has all of the best features like offline messaging, emoticons, and automatic replies.

i used to use it but i don't like the fact that it takes up too much space, takes a long time to load, can't use a mic, got to use netmeeting to use a webcam and random people come on my list for spamming purposes, i cannot reccommend this messenger to anyone.

I remember when you could click on someone's profile and it would automatically give you their IP address and there were tons of programs you could use with that to ICQ bomb people with, etc.. ah the good old days.. I quit using it because of that, hope they've fixed it.

icq used to be awesome. not it's not anymore. now all i get from ICQ are solicitations from me who don't even speak english for cyber sex and my picture. i don't even know how these people find me, but i wish they'd go away.

ICQ was once the IT instant messenger for chatting, meeting and making friends around the world. Rather than screen names you are issued a ICQ# which can be more difficult to remember. When it comes to meeting and chatting with people from ALL OVER THE WORLD, ICQ is the BEST!! but the website is horrendous to navigate and if you lose your ICQ# you better be the only Your Name Here in the world or forget about it! and again, ICQ users can only chat with ICQ users so if the majority of your real life friends arent on the network....whats the point??

I love the ICQ program. Unforatunately, their website is a nightmare. Very hard to navigate. It's so busy that it's hard to find what you're looking for. It's a shame, because their messanger program is so very nifty.

the website and software have many things in common: they're both easy to navigate, and very useful!

It seems like they have a good thing going, but their site is way too busy to find anything.

I much prefer ICQ to AOL instant messenger. ICQ's wealth of features for leaving messages, chatting, periodic e-mail checks, reminders, and so forth are wonderful!
