Sun May 13 2007This movie is okay, but not the best animated movie. I saw it when it first came out in theatres. A group of prehistoric animals try to get a baby home. The squirrel Scrat is the best part of the whole movie.

Thu May 10 2007Too true that this movie is excellent for a younger audience; however, might it be so great as to substitute for a babysitter? Ah ha! Something controversial... in some propaganda-like form... I think. In either case, it's a good viewing for both children and adults. The animation was nicely crafted, and it's obvious that the makers were very cunning, careful and certain about their work.

Wed Dec 15 2004Excellent animation, Hillarous plot with funfilled unforgettable characters that will have children constantly beginning their parents to buy this movie on DVD. The SLOTH had me ROTFLMAO(figuratively speaking)for talking and becoming an annoyance. THe Sabertooth cat was a sly and meticulous character that makes me wanna SHOUT! This movie reminded me of Three men and a Baby. I am glad that both animals put aside the laws of nature by forming a symbiosis relationship anb becoming friends. Recommended for all ages!

Mon Feb 16 2004I didn't expect to like it but it was very funny if not completely original. I'm sure mammoths and sabertooths got along just fine in the prehistoric days.

Sat Mar 15 2003A pretty good movie- its one of those films that I thought I wouldn't like but ended up enjoying. A great movie for kids and adults alike. A lot of slapstick comedy mixed with a story of trust and betrayal.

Wed Dec 18 2002One of the best movies of the year, Ice Age is a brilliant cinematic accomplishment. The voice cast is well-rounded, the animation is stunning and the script is awesome. The banter is crackling with wit, there are tons of visual gags and even an uproarious Star Trek reference for the ones with the eyes for it. Not only funny, it is also warm, touching and has a very positive ending! Highly recommended for all!

Wed Nov 13 2002I can be such a girlie - I admit, parts of this made me cry (I know, pathetic) I thought this was a really sweet little story about a litle group of misfits who usually wouldn't have anythhing to do with eachother - but bond due to one little, cute human baby. The animation is really good and Denis Leary is great Diego and the character Sid is soooo sweet. Another great film that kids and adults can watch and enjoy together.

Thu Sep 19 2002this was a very good movie, although not the best, I still highly reccommend it. YOu got to love Scrat. He was so obsessed with that darn acorn. Well enough said, don't wan't to ruin the best part of the movie. Just rent it, and buy it.

Fri Mar 29 2002This was a pretty good Family movie. It had a little bit of laughs and the 3-D animation was nice. The reason I saw this movie today. It was about 2 prehistoric animals who find a baby child and go out to return it to his family. the squirrel-like creature was funny. this was more of a kid's movie than for adults which is why I am giving this a 4.5.

Tue Mar 26 2002Ah, another good comp-animated one. And done by the basically unknown "Blue Sky Studios". I liked Ray Romano as a cynical mammoth- the characters were entertaining. The running joke with "scrat" and his acorn was good for laughs. Lots of slapstick, it lacked some of the more mature humor that made "Shrek" amazing. It's worth seeing still- somewhat shorter, but a fun flick.
