It's the car you buy to look good, and don't get me wrong it LOOKS GOOD!! People usually think its some kind of Ferrari or BMW when seeing it for the first time, but that's where the compliments stop. The car is trash inside, harsh ride, and poor reliability. Performance wise the car is on par with a my mom's 4 door Honda Civic, 0-60 is done in over 8 seconds, that's weak..... If your poor and want to look good this is the car to get, but I mean if your getting a new one for around 12-14K you might as well get a used Nissan 300ZX it looks better, performs better and has the same reliabiltiy....without that 10 year warranty....hehe.

I know that a Tib beats out all cars in it's price range.... I have the V6 also had done a few modifications... But even befor them it is a fast car... i would like any one to try and tell your self who got the better deal... if you have to compare a GT with a Tib you have to be stupid just for the fact that i can compare a gto or another higher priced car to that.... point is only a moron would make the statment like that casue duh  the quality is better the specs are nicer... so i think comparing out of price range is just dumb... if yuo copare it with an equal priced car you will find that the tib will beat 'em all stly and performance... (that would only include the V6)... "Poser. I have spanked one in my work van" the only thing you could spank in you van next to a tib V6 would be your "member" you liar!

How can it be a true sports car? It's based on the Elantra. The 2.0L four is from the Elantra and the 2.7L V6 is from the Sonata. I owned 2 Hyundai's, unfortunately, and they were both pieces of crap.

numbah_16_td_haha - You musta raced a 4 banger then! I owned a 2003 GT for two years and put 55K on it. It was a very well built car, very solid chassis and above average interior materials. I had the autotragic, but the car still ran 7.5 sec 0-60mph and mid 15's. I drove it harder than 80% of the people out there and never had ANY problems with this car. Being a FWD car, it's not on par with a Honda S2000, or even a Miata, but once you get used to the understeer, it's a very decent little coupe. I even got 28mpg once on a trip where my average speed was 80mph! Plain and simple, people who don't know anything about these cars rate them low. I now drive a CTS, but I have fond memories of my Tibby!

I like this car too. It's unique and nice. I'd take it if I was offered it.

I think they should delete all the 2000 and earlier submissions. Hyudai has totally redesigned this car from the ground up and they have finally hit the nail on the head. This is the third Tiburon since its inception in 1999 (they come out every other year). The GT V6 has the acceleration, handling and feel of a $40K sports car and has an excellent Infinity sound system. I like the dual shifting (that hardly any American car has). What I sorta like most is the looks I get, hardly no one knows what the hell it is :) My only dislike is the gas mileage, but hey, it is a V6 after all.

This is a sports car?! With a standard 4 cynlindar?! And they call it sport?! Get a real sports car with a V8! Even a V6 Celica is better than this. Again, people buy this just becuase of the price. They dont understand that these things are the worst vehicles on the planet. Your $16k Tiburon will be worth about $7k after only one year!

I just brought a 2003 tiburon and I think it is a great buy for the amount of money you pay for it. It has improve greatly since the last model and it performs much better too. Overall I fill that this is a great sports car that doesn't rip you off.

The 2003 tiburon is a great sports car under 20,000 and I would rank it up there with the Toyota Celica or the Acura RSX. It performs and handles very well and it looks sharpe. In all I feel that this car is a top buy.

For the love of god, please do not buy one of these!! Not that I think it's ugly, and the "warranty" is excellent (10yr/100k mi), but after only about 15k miles it drives/rides and overall feels like it's ten years old. Did you hear me?!?! I HAVE A CAR THAT FEELS LIKE IT'S TEN YEARS OLD AND IT'S NOT EVEN PAID OFF YET!!! Oh, not to mention, I took it to the dealership (Ray Huffines of Plano) to get a new tire and when I got the car home the wheel cap had fallen off. I still can't get anybody to return my call - you suck, Ray! By the way, I drive like an old lady. I'm trading this piece of garbage in real soon.

This car is inexpensive, and has an excellent warrauntee. Unfortunately, hyundai build quality and design leave much to be desired. This car is possibly one of the ugliest cars out there IMHO.

I bought one of these last year. the only problem with it is the acceleration is not so great, however when you DO hit 115 it feels like the car is sitting still. So it gets a 5 for it's handling. Hey, what's with this P.O.N.T.I.A.C. garbage? why don't you just spell the whole thing out for us - you racist hill-billy. And then you're scared to show an EMail address? COWARD!
