Had dinner at HP's location in Crocker Park in Westlake, everything was excellent from start to finish. If you've been you know.

Highly over rated. My husband and I went there for our anniversary and were sorely disappointed. The waiter rushed us through dinner, even though we had reservations. One hour and fifteen minutes for appetizer, salad, dinner, and desert. We ordered a bottle of wine with dinner and he splashed it into the glass - literally - I ended up wearing red wine on my shirt sleeve. The food was good, but I suppose I expect better when paying as much as we did. Never received refills on water, coffee, nor did he pour the wine after the first serving. The entire staff acted frazzled and it wasn't even busy. Would not return.

In Short The dark wood, brass railings and white tableclothes that adorn the dining rooms give this steakhouse a private club feel, but the menu doesn't discriminate. The bone-in filet weighs in at a pound and is the signature steak, but don't be afraid to sample the Celebrity cuts, which are named after local sports heroes and include the spicy Steak Au Nicklaus and the lobster and bearnaise crowned Steak Kosar.

Been there three times, first time ordered a medium-well burger. The outside was almost charcoal, the inside was bleeding. Second time was just there for lunchtime drinks with three others, one of our glasses had lipstick on it when served. Third time, ordered food, got food, ate food. To say it's so highly recommended they do mess up quite often.

I dine at Hyde Park frequently. The steaks are the best and the service has improved dramatically. Many of the other reviews for this place are years old and no longer reflect reality. The food quality is superb and the waiters and staff are more professional and friendly. Their Vault room is really great for our parties. I would definitely recommend eating here. Try the bone-in filet mignon. You'll be glad you did.

The Scene The most honored rites of passage in Cleveland are pledging to love, honor and bleed for the local sports teams, learning to curse Art Modell, and ordering your first steak at the Hyde Park. There's a kind of hush as that Kansas City filet mignon is wheeled out. Hidden behind heavy mahogany shades, Hyde Park inhabits a corner of an art-deco office building just past the landmark Terminal Tower. The white-tablecloth dining room, divided by brass rails and dark woods, resembles a Dickensian men's club. The Food The signature beef specials all honor local sports heroes; try the Jim Thome, a cognac-flambeed tribute to the Indians' first baseman. Skip the salads since you're going to get the creamed spinach, and au gratin potatoes. Order the oysters Rockefeller-you couldn't possibly eat more during the first course.

The steaks I have had there are overrated. I found them fatty and not well cooked. One Walnut has much better streaks and they are not even on this list!

Hyde Park does have the best steaks in town - so tender and flavorful that you don't need a lot to have a great culinary experience.

I love this place! The food is excellent! Don't forget to save room for the traditional bannan's foster! Each location has it's own charm! It is wonderful!

Excellent service, they bent over backwards from a table where we could smoke, a perfect meal and called a cab for us which if you know cleveland, it translates from indian to city with taxi's. Great Steaks, great sides, great desserts. A class establishmnet!

The meat was very well prepared however everything else was not. The vegetables were poorly cooked, usually overcooked. The dessert was obviously pre made elsewhere the bread was not memorable nor the coffee, For my taste, the restaraunt was over-priced and very over rated. The wait to be seated was extended beyond reasonable considering that I had reservations and the valet parking added expense that was not needed

My husband compares all steaks he eats to Hyde Park's Peppercorn Steak. Alas he is never satisfied with anyone elses!

We were dissapointed after a Friday night visit. We made reservations and arrived on time yet waited for 40 minutes before we were seated. Our waiter appeared 20 minutes later with our drinks and ran off to take another tables order, even though we were seated first .We waited another 40 minutes until we were served. I requested steak sauce & My steak was dry, overcooked and barely warm. The waiter NEVER returned with my steak sauce, unable to voice our unhappiness. On our way out, informed the hostess we were dissatisfied. My wife called the manager the next day and explained our dissatisfaction. The manager said " I cannot believe your story, you should have voiced your concerns at the restaurant, you are just looking for a free meal". My wife was shocked, and hung up. Every restaurant has a bad day, but the managers treatment was inexcusable.

Hyde Park isn't the place for a cheap night out, but if you're looking for excellent food and a lot of it - THIS IS IT! Steak was fantastik, the seafood was the best I've ever had and the side dished were the perfect compliment. Add to that exceptional service and staff with knowledge not only of the food they were serving but extensive knowledge of the appropriate wine to accompany the food... Five Stars

I realize everyone has a subjective opinion and i have to say i never even ate steak till i had a hyde park steak! THEY ARE THE BEST I'VE EVER TASTED BY FAR! that includeds Ken Stewarts, Mortons, Ruths Chris, you name it they are better, every restaurant has something imperfect about it but at Hyde Park the food and service are not it! The wine list is great and every location i go to there is consistency with the food! The managers, hosts, servers, bartenders all GREAT! dont miss out on it!!

After looking at the ratings, I decided to try I thought it was going to be good.. Boy was I dis appointed! The steak was all fat rolled into a make believe steak, they changed allright but when I got it my friends had already finished theirs. Service was not extraordinary... I was not happy, would not recommend it.
