What a great little album! Deceptively cheerful, this album has the polished and glitzy sound of Vegas with the devilish undertones of stalkers, murder, voyeurism and sex. Great themes, interesting take, brilliant music. Mr. Brightside, Andy You're A Star and Midnight show are key tracks for me!

I had never heard The Killers until I played "When You Were Young" on GH3. I was impressed, and then downloaded HF from iTunes. Not going to waste time by repeating whats already been said. Great album, great band, can't believe I had never heard these guys.

"I GOT SOUL BUT I'M NOT A SOLDER" "... ready lets rolls onto something new! ..." You gotta embrace new songs. At first I bought this album mainly because it had Mr. Brightside on it. Popped it in my laptop and started listen... best choice of my life. All the songs have a catchy beat, bring-you-up lyrics (see Smile Like You Mean It) and best of all, it doesn't plague in the CD loudness wars--meaning that it isn't clipped or distorted to increase the volume, resulting in bad sound quality. Definitely import this album to FLAC. Songs: 5/5 Sound Quality: 5/5 Album Artwork: 5/5 BUY THIS.

3 1/2 Unabashed indie-pop with many great choruses to back it up made this debut a big deal. The entire album is a little too eager to please all the time in limitation, resulting in mild showboated repetition, but individually most songs energetically stand up to scrutiny.

Hot Fuss by The Killers is the best album I have heard in many, many years. Brandon Flowers is a wonderful vocalist and songwriter, there's just something about this guy that I like. Every song on Hot Fuss is packed with catchy melodies and unique and heartfelt lyrics. Jenny Was A Friend of Mine has a killer hook while Smile Like You Mean It is the saddest song ever! The best album of 2004 and could easily be the best album of the 21st century. Buy this new wave gem today!

Loved it at first, but I quickly grew out of it and sought something a bit more exciting...

Hot Fuss is one of the best mainstream albums of the 00's (in my opinion) the band are talented musically and lyrically, Mr. Brightside is one of the best modern indie anthems and certainly one of my favorite songs. im dissapointed in "Sams Town", its not as fresh, not as energetic but i highly recommend this as one for youre collection :)

Out of the entire Cd there is only one song that isn't good. "everything will be alright everything will be alright" over and over and over. But "On Top" and "Midnight Show" are great songs. This is one to keep in your car because its great to turn it up really loud and sing along. Great CD I hope they don't fade out after this one.

Great album, one of my favorite bands. Every single song on this CD is great. I used to really dislike Smile Like You Mean It and didn't care for Everything Will Be Alright, but they grew on me. All These Things That I've Done is definitely the best song on this album and it is addicting and fantastic.

An absolutely fantastic album thats doing really well over here in the UK. One thing that surprised me was to find out that these lads are from Las Vegas - I think most people over here actually think that they are British! There are some really strong songs on there like 'Smile Like You Mean It' and 'Mr Brightside'. If you enjoy indie music, check out this band and you shouldn't be disappointed.
