I went to Hoover Family a few months ago because I couln't seem to get over a cold I got in the fall. Apparently, it was a sinus infection. The Nurse Practitioner, Mona, diagnosed it, by way of a bl**d test, and then gave me some anti-biotics that cleared it right up. They were all so nice that I went back a month later and explained that I had been having stomach pain for a month or so. I had been to my internist twice and he gave some pills but it didn't help. Mona diagnosed a stomach bacteria right away called H. Pilori, gave me some anti-biotics and I was totally well within a week. I would recommend the Nurse Practitioner to anyone for sickness or for long term problems.

She then came in to take a bl**d sample and an x-ray which I refused (I was exhibiting flu/bronchitis symptoms). She said the doctor wanted them but could not explain why. The person that I assume was the doctor then arrived again - said NOTHING about the tests - refused or otherwise - and said I had a sinus infection and bronchitis and put me on a z-pack. I have no idea how this woman would know I had bronchitis since she NEVER listened to my chest ... Read more
