I have been waiting almost a year (May 07) for my refund from Highway Movers in Charlotte. The last communication was for me to give them the number of the check. I did and NOTHING! I was given a move date and NO ONE CAME! After an exchange of words, I was told they could not move me and my refund deposit would be put in the mail. It didn't come. Highway Movers is NOT a reliable company.

Lets see first off this compony pretended to be a different moving compony untill they had our stuff .....then after we move across the country and three weeks pass we kinda wonder where our stuff is, next thing we get a phone call from thier boss"leo" who says we have to give him 10,000$ or we wont get our stuff back ..so not paying that of coarse we threatened to take him to jail.. he says alright if we get another compony we can get our stuff and pick it up from thier storage lots.. so we get a compony and they go out there to get our stuff next thing i knwo i get a phone call from a detective telling me that the storage lot our stuff was in got stolen (note only 1 out of 100 lots or so) so pretty much were taking them to court its been a year later and i still have yet to see all my families belongings, they practiclly ruined my life and the memories i had with my family >>BY FAR THE WORSE COMPONY IN THE WORLD<<< do not use them

Absolute worse experience of our lives!!!!!! Do not use them!!!!!! They were great until they had our stuff for oh yeah know 8 days. We were told they would deliver in 2-4 days which is normal. A week later you start to worry! Then they were complete jerks when they delivered. They said "Aint doin a thang until you gives us your money" Which they charged an extra $1800 before we could get our stuff. Talk about rip off! We should all start a law suit with this company!! They totally broke at least 60% of our stuff! Definately not worth anything! DO NOT USE THEM!! RATED WORST COMPANY OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY COULDNT MOVE A PILLOW WITHOUT DAMAGING IT!

Be forwarned about this company. They arrived at 2:00 in the morning, loaded my stuff with total disregard to how they handled it and didn't even make up a complete inventory list. When they left we discovered that one of the guys had stolen my daughters lap top computer, her credit cards and cash from her purse and beer out of the cooler. We got the credit cards back but never got the laptop or the cash. I was promised a delivery date of 5-7 days. It took them 23 days to get my furniture here to Montana. They kept saying it was on the road but I found out it was still in the warehouse as they were telling me this. When my stuff finally arrived here, they charged me another $440 for extra packing, that they DID NOT do, and there was only one moving guy to try to unload all of the heavy furniture and boxes. My boxes were crushed and WET!! Lots of damage, a ruined dining room table, arms ripped off one of the captains chairs and three boxes of valuables missing. The leaves to my d... Read more

Highway Moving Inc is the worst moving company I have ever used. I was promised a delivery date and FIVE, yes, Five days after the date promised my belongings were delivered. They used a contract delivery service to finally deliver my furniture. When I finally got my stuff, ALL of my furniture was scratched. They actually broke the back off a bar stool. They were late coming to pick-up my stuff because their truck broke down on the way . I should have know at that moment this was a bad choice. They NEVER returned my calls. They were rude and disrespectful. THIS WAS THE WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. They flat-out lied to me about my promised delivery date. My stuff was still sitting in a warehouse the day after my promised delivery date. Don't be fooled.

horrible experience.............lost and damaged goods, Sorry I just can't describe how horrible this was and is, the move was a month ago and they won't return my calls they have yet to give me my inventory sheet, they convinced me I should allow them to pack into the night............they finished at 4:00AM, sadly I thought my cooperation would warrent me good service......no such luck. NEVER, NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE. I've got items belonging to others, I'm sure they have mine..................sadly I had to give them a star to post this review, they don't deserve any.

Wow, let me tell you about my experience with Highway Moving. Three words: fast, friendly, and HONEST! My items were taken care of so well and nothing was damaged. I had some very old vases and not one thing happened to them! I was shocked. I have moved several over the years and this was the most professional company I've ever used. The sales girls were great and dispatch was amazing. They had good answes for any questions I had and were so helpful! I reccomend Highway Moving to anyone moving!

Well all I can say is the Moving Consultant was dead on with my quote! The owner of the company Anna was so helpful as were the dispatchers. The whole staff was excellent to work with and I would suggest anyone moving contact them! The move went so smooth and all the workers worked very hard, with little time to rest! I was IMPRESSED!!!

I have to say that this was one of the worst experiences of my life while working wih a "professional" company. They were late, damaged about 60% of our stuff , overcharged us, hung up on us, and even threatened us. Never use these guys if you value any of your things. If I could give zero stars I would! I think that sums it up.

There is nothing good that I can say about this moving company. They overcharged us by $2,000 and have yet to pay us back. They threatened my husband when he requested a reweigh and hung up on us several times. They damaged almost 40% of our personal items. If you want the worst moving experience contact Highway Moving.

This company relocated my family member from state to state. They were the worst company EVER!!! they quoted my aunt and uncle a price for all of the stuff they were moving. They told them that the price was a guarateed price and that if it changed it would only be because maybe some "light" packing might have to be done. WELL, needless to say, the driver decided that EVEYTHING including things that were ALREADY boxed up, to BE BOXED UP AGAIN!!! THey charged my aunt and uncle almost 3 times as much as they quoted them and the dispatcher was SOOO rude to my aunt that she cried and had to let my uncle deal with this thing called a dispatcher!!! Please spare yourselves heartache and dispare and use ANYONE else but them....I KNOW that this company DOESNOT cares about their customers and the services they give.... My aunt and uncle gotto their final destination BROKE and with alot of broken things, which im sure they will not see any money for....

Sorry to say this one is noway. Quoted different prices, took 3 days to load because wrong size truck. Packers did not blanket my dining room chairs. I was told truck would arrive on Thursday and cashiers check for balance was okay, then I got a call from the driver said cash was expected and he was not Highway Movers but another comapany. This has been my worst move.
