Hewlett Packard Fax Series

The fax machine in and of itself would've gotten a "4", but the customer service drops it down to a "1", probably the most venemous "1" I could possibly give on RIA.   Okay, so we got an HP all-in-one for work, because our ancient all-in-one had finally kicked the bucket.  Got the service package and everything, we intended to treat this thing right and make sure that it lasted as long as its predecessor did.  Which was fine, but then incoming faxes stopped coming in.  Luckily, we had another ancient fax machine that we hooked up while we were trying to get this thing fixed. After about four different service calls and no fixes, one guy came in to download a software update from his own laptop to our fax machine.  And I didn't realize that this was even possible, but HE DOWNLOADED A VIRUS ONTO OUR FAX MACHINE.  He even called his boss in to try to help fix it, but to no avail.  So, now not only does our fax machine not receive faxes (which is a pretty big part of a fax machine's job)... The best thing about the fax machines from HP is that they are compact in size and value for mony. HP  fax machines offer a lot of features which other fax machines miss. Likethere is a one line 16 character LCD panel which displays the date and time when the fax is not in use and the status of a transmission when in use. It will also display the caller-id of the incoming fax. When sending a fax, it will display the name and number of the recipient if you are using stored number or just the number.You can store up to 80 numbers on the speed dial; each entry can store the number and a brief description. It has 1 megabyte (1024 KB) of memory available for scanned pages which can hold about 100 pages. That means you can scan up to a 100 pages in memory before sending. HP fax machine series is good in performance and durable.
