The first time I tasted Hershey's I couldn't believe it - it's disgusting! It bears no relation to chocolate - it's just a mass of brown sugary fat. Only someone who has never tasted real chocolate could eat - let alone enjoy - this stuff.

Feels and tastes like wax. Not pleasant, although if you grew up with it I could understand being able to stomach it.

There is nothing better to cure the chocolate craving than a Hershey's chocolate bar. I love them! I don't eat the whole bar simply because I don't need all the fat but I love them. Try dipping them in peanut butter- oh yeah.  My personal favorite would have to be Special Dark- I really can't stay away from those!

There are no words to describe my feeling for this sweet, delicate, heavenly piece of chocolate. I have an addiction. It is all I think about. I usaully go to a Sams club and buy vending size box's of theese Treats. I eat solid bars for my meals and have bowls of the the pieces all around my house for all-around snacking. MMMMMMMMMMMMM gurl; lemme tell you, put some sugar or lima beans on top and BAM youve got a mouth full O' Yummy. No joke. And since sometimes I put Lima beans on I never have to excersise or eat healthy because theyre vegtables. I seriously am thinking about making my house hershey themed. Did i metion i live across the street from Hershey park in pennslivania? I cant help this addiction. My taste buds wanna just like krump eachother from excited when i put some more chocolate in my mouth. I WUV IT. Im reaching 350 pounds. but its all good because Im happy.-Lets dance(...or eat.)Katrina(choc luver)

HOW CAN YOU LIKE IT?!?! It's...bitter and not creamy or sweet at all! Ugh, I couldn't even finish eating a bar of the crap. Please, leave chocolate manufacture to the Europeans. The American's have obviously done something VERY VERY wrong in the chocolate making process. I'm beginning to think most of you only like it because you haven't tried proper chocolate or you just like the fact that it's 'American'.

I love chocolate and I'm in agreement with LJF that the Hersheys with Almonds are wonderful. There is a chemical in chocolate called tyramine that is know to trigger migraines so my love for it has to be put on hold. :(

Yes, Hersheys. Eat them while they are a few days old. If they are more than a few months, the milk will go rancid. That sucks

Ah, the Great American Chocolate Bar! Nothing like the smooth silky chocolaty goodness of a Hersheys bar. They have been around for many years and will be around for even more.

I do prefer European/British chocolate, but Hershey's has some sentimental/nostalgic value.  I don't like it plain though.

sometimes a good old hershey's chocolate bar is good. I usually go for the dark chocolate, or candy with peanuts. york patties etc. but a regular hershey's bar is great. we liked it with marshmallows and graham crackers.

You can almost always count on curing your chocolate craving with this old standby of the candy bar realm.

It's okay, but I refer something other than JUST chocolate. Add in caramel or peanuts and you got yourself a hit...

Hershey's Mocha is yuck. Hershey's hasn't learned to blend coffee and chocolate well together (yet). It tastes like old coffee, and it wipes out any taste of the actual chocolate. I would not recommend it.

Fine chocolate for a good price. But there is much better chocolate in europe though.

This chocolate is just ok, it's overly sweet and chocolate is too low on the ingredients list(sugar is first). If you ever tasted a good German or Swiss chocolate Hersheys wouldn't seem so great to you.

Chocolate flavor comes from cocoa and cocoa butter. In comparison to higher brand names there is very little of it in a Hershey's Bar. Most of it is flavorings and sugar. This is why it doesn't taste like real chocolate to chocolate lovers.

This stuff is O.K. I'd prefer some chocolate from like Germany or England. Hershey's dosen't have the true deliciousness of chocolate.

I used to love Hershey's plain chocolate bars. But over the years I think they changed their recipe for the worse. Maybe it was to save money, or maybe they thought they were improving their product. I'm sorry to say they were wrong. They had to mess with a sucessful and delicious product. Now they lost my vote. Better luck next time Hershey's.

Awful, awful, awful. If I was American I'd sue this company for saying it's the great American chocolate bar. How can you screw up milk chocolate? Waxy, too sugary, not rich enough...try this and then try a piece of Cadbury's Dairy Milk (esp. one from England) and you'll see how bad Hershey's is.

If you've every tried REAL Chocolate - say swiss or belgian chocolate, or Dove or Ghirardelli, you'll know how BAD Hershey's. It's way too sweet, has an odd flavor (probably all those cheap additives) and a wierd texture. Give me real chocolate any day.

A true classic and always will be. Tastes great anywhere from melted to frozen. With Coke or Pepsi a near religious experience.

DO u people realize that on average, if you eat 7 or 8 of these cany bars, you have eaten somewhere around 2 or 3 bug body parts. yes. bug body parts. i read it in some mgazine, and one time i was eating one of these delicious chocolate bars and i found somehting stringy, hard, and long, and i bet it was a bug leg.

The second best candy bar after Reeses Peanut Butter Cup. Just good, simple chocolate. Great if you don't like or want any nuts, caramel or nuget in your candy bar.

I'm sorry Hershey's lovers, but I don't see what the big deal is. Hersheys chocolate is OK if there's nothing else around but I'd rather have a Toblerone, Dove chocolate or Ghirardelli any day. Hershey's is gritty and has a weak chocolate taste to me. It's not terrible but I just don't get it when people go on about how wonderful this stuff is.

Alright but I would never buy this. Who wants plain tasting cheap chocolate. If you're going to use low-quality chocolate, at least add nuts or rice chips or something to distract people from the plasticky texture.

An American classic ! This is some of the best chocolate in the world. Hershey's Chocolate Bars are possibly the best candy bars on the market in my opinion. The Hershey's Chocolate Bar with almonds is really, really good, too !!!

I love Hershey, and this chocolate bar is their most famous product. The only problem is I can't stop eating them. When I'm at hershey Park, I go on the chocolate world ride multiple times, just for the hershey's chocolate bar they give out at the end!

Hershey's chocolate is the most disgusting, cheap, waxy excuse of a candy bar I have ever tasted. The texture is waxy and grainy. The taste is flat and unpleasing. Give me European chocolate any day over this sad excuse for chocolate. The only thing that Hershey bars are actually any good in are Smores. Other than that...no thanks.

With all of the other candy bars with different concoctions, Hershey's as a chocolate bar is boring but it's swell to cook with, (cookies, cakes, even certain alchoholic mixed drinks).

It's good for people who are allergic to nuts and things and for when you just feel like having plain old chocolate. For me that doesn't happen very often, but when I do I prefer the smooth creamy taste of Daffins! The hershey bar is at it's best when it has almonds in it.
