One of the best action shows ever next to Xena.

Greek mythology for the" texting Cody during the English class midterms generation"...One of my favorite writers of all time, Aristophanes, would have a field day with this generation...

Great action-drama-comedy-adventure-history(if not always completely accurate)series. Great costumes and sets. On a more personal note, Kevin Sorbo is in my opinion one of the best looking men I have ever seen in my life! I actually gasped out loud in front of my husband the first time we were flicking channels and we came upon this show. Needless to say he was not allowed to change the channel and I instantly became a regular viewer.

It had some great moments, but I found it didn't keep my attention all the time. Loved the spin off Xena though. I'm glad herc and xena clicked together.

Ok I guess, but what really cracked me up was the way some of these actors talk. Hercules sounds as if he just stepped off the bus from L.A.! That's the reason I could never believe this show.

THE BEST!!! An escape from reality, something we all need. Some are remarking about this show being stupid and Kevin not being a good actor. You couldn't of understood what the show was about. It was not meant to take seriously but to be fun, comical and far out and most of all entertaining. It was also full of little messages on values and what is important in life. No one could ever play the part of Hercules better then Kevin Sorbo. Geeeesh..... I miss you Kevin and the cast of the Legendary Journeys. I hope we will see a reunion in the future.

God, this show is awful. Kevin Sorbo can't act for beans. I even enjoyed Xena: Warrior Princess more then this. It was so visually badly done, and was as belivable as Power Rangers. I can see this as a bad movie, but a bad TV show?

Bringing the gods to life. What a great idea. As with Xena, the plots are terrific and often comic. What sold the show to me, though, was the wonderful relationship between Hercules and Iolous.

As the name suggests, this show has plenty of references not only to Greek mythology, but other realms of ancient folklore as well. Basically, any fantasy or mythology buff will love it. One preliminary caution I will express is that most of the attempts to mythologize the plots are somewhat tainted to involve Hercules to show his influence. For example, when he travels to the land of Norse mythology, he alters the natural course of Germanic myth by slaying Balder, the God of light, instead of Loki, the trickster God. This is suppossed to be a very important event in Norse myth, and it almost changes dramatically because of Hercules' influence. Fortunately, Hercules himself retains his superhero strength and hero status, among other things, therefore staying true to his original place in classical myth. It is a delight to budding mythophiles everywhere.

Hercules is right up there with Xena:The Warrior Princess. I love this show! To bad its over. But, I loved the characters and stories which kept me interested and curious.

These people need help. Or they need a hard slap upside the head. How about a history lesson? Or a lesson in acting?
