Sat Nov 22 2008Really now! Most of the people reviewing have never even gone to Harvard's business school! They are not even qualified to make a judgement on it! And if you ask me, a lot of the comments are just dripping with envy. I personally have never gone to Harvard's business school, which is why I am giving it a neutral rating. But c'mon guys! There must be some reason why an MBA from Harvard is so prestigious. It can't be as horrible as some of you are suggesting.

Wed Sep 03 2008The best Business school out there. Harvard is Harvard. Look at Harvard alumni list. From my experience they are successful, driven know how to achieve goals and actually do achieve them.

Sun May 21 2006Harvard Business School provides a great networking opportunity, with the largest MBA program in the world. Academics are lightweight, however, and school seems to enroll both strong and weak applicants, perhaps due to the size. In general not as modern and innovative as MIT Sloan and Stanford.

Sat Dec 31 2005I personally will be extremely cautious of hiring another Harvard MBA. They type of person who applies to Harvard in the first place (unrealistic view of themself, their abilitity and their destiny) along with a tendency to move too quickly to the next job/assignment/situation before mastering or creating positive results in their current situation, can be very negative to the organization. You end up with people who have moved too quickly on their way up (helped in part by the Harvard reputation), are unqualified for the new job they find themselves in, often do not have adequate financial or technological understanding (necessary not matter what the job function or industry). They are particularly terrible in fast moving entreprenuerial enviromments where rolling up your sleeves & making things happen is essential.

Sun Oct 09 2005Have met and worked with a fair number of Harvard MBAs. Many of them are top notch but there are just too many duds, who have little idea of how a business is really run, to rate this institution very high.

Fri Sep 16 2005After working with several marketing people with Harvard MBAs, I've basicaly stated that I will not work with another one if I can avoid it. I don't know where to start. There definitely is an arrogance factor to them. They also don't seem to get technology very easily. At least the ones I've worked with need help compiling complicated excel spreadsheets (w/ pivot tables, etc.). They are very high level and don't deal with the details well. That's just my opinion though.

Thu Mar 03 2005Yes it's prestigious. You can see just the confidence oozing off my Harvard minted Boyfriend. (some call it arrogance) But knowledge-wise? I and his best friend know more real-world business than he does!! And to think his best friend took his MBA from Jones International University and I took mine from Breyer State University! Both are ONLINE Universities!! Harvard is overrated. The Case Method is obsolete. Their prices are two high. This could lead to the downfall of the ivy league B-schools

Mon Nov 15 2004Very overrated and based in the past on historical ratings, case method, and Harvard halo.

Wed Aug 25 2004I've worked with a number of Harvard MBAs, and for the most part, they've been the real deal. Smart, driven, hungry - even the arrogance factor (which is not just a stereotype) adds a certain swagger which is not unhelpful to success. I applied at age 23, and I doubt my application even got looked at (and that's a good thing). It's a top 3 program (wharton and stanford the other two) in my book.

Thu Apr 15 2004Great school but terrible curriculum. All that students do is Case Method, and they come out with little theoretical knowledge so required for finance.

Sun May 04 2003The administration is poor and the level of innovation in the curriculum is terrible. Highly overrated.
