Even in losing, Duran gave us a classic.Duran lost the fight, if I remember right, by one point on the judges scorecards. He was past his prime and still as cunning as a fox. Hagler admited later, that he respected Duran and knew that he would be cagey and tricky, and was afraid to look foolish. That's the thinking that cost him the fight with Sugar Ray Leonard, although I thought Hagler still did enough to win.

One of Duran's great boxing masterpieces. In fact, this attempt by Duran to take the middleweight title from Hagler could be considered Exhibit A in terms of how underrated he was as a thinking boxer as opposed to a crazy wildman.
