Tue Apr 28 2009My sister works at H&M in the Maine Mall. Ofcourse, I have been there. The people who work there are very nice to me, especially because they know I'm her sister ;) . The prices are great, and the clothes are nice too. Some aren't exactly my taste but most everything there is cute. I loves their scarves and accesories. Alot of their stuff is very fashionable, but I'm not to into fashion lol. Everytime I go to their store I have to deal with the pain of walking by Forever 21 (just kidding lol). I havn't been their before but their mannequins look really suggestive, in slutty positions. My sister also complains about how cheap their clothes are and how they don't clean up their store and leave clothes lying around. I have also heard how HORRIBLE the costumer service is. Apparently they treat you like dirt. So I say, H&M is an awesome store. Great customer service, fashionable clothing, great prices, clean, and well organized. :)

Wed Jan 14 2009H&M;'s clothing is not soft. I don't know what fabric they use, but the cotton looks dull and feels stiff. Just like forever21 has their sweatshop look, H&M; has their own version of it. With cheap buttons. It's just not nice. BUT, occasionally, there are nice finds, be it a winter hat or a cartoon print sweater. Because their styles move so fast, it's nice to see at least some variety and to pick up on that one special item. And their prices are very acceptable.

Sun Aug 17 2008Despite some references to this stores contents as "cheap garbage"after examining the said reviewers other ratings, I have discovered that they rate establishments such as "Nordstrom" "J. Crew" and the like much more favorabley. May I speak for those of us that cannot waltz into a department store and purchase a pile of $250 cashmere sweaters and say that H&M;, offers affordable clothing. Though it may not last till the end of time, they are enough to get through a number of years. It's not as though your wasting a load of cash, true the clothes are trendy and not the best made, but it was only a $15 dollar shirt. On the other hand buying and equally trendy shirt at a more expensive store will leave you $200 dollars short once it goes out of fashion in a year. You choose.

Wed May 28 2008Proof that you don't have to raise the price of clothing to treat your workers with justice. H & M workers are represented by an international labor union. Not surprising that it's a company from a Scandanavian (aka socialist) country. While the money which goes to their workers doesn't seem to be spent on good fabric (your average H & M garment is thin), I don't treat my clothes very well to begin with, having no use for dry cleaning. So I'd rather get something at H & M that I'll wear for a few months before it ends up in the Goodwill bin than padding some financier's pockets. True, much of the men's stuff verges on Eurotrash chic, but hell, it's a whole lot better than looking like you shop at Brooks Brothers. I also love the fact that they make socks that are not only colorful but also come in several different sizes to fit you perfectly.

Tue Nov 27 2007If you're looking for a quick, cheap 'trend-copy', it's cool. But as said before, for quality, long lasting and something that's forever in style...this is not the place

Sun Jun 10 2007Three things I like about the H&M;:-the prices-the clothes (trendy and imaginative, but not juvenile)-the fact that there are NUMBER sizes instead of S, M, and L for ladies.

Fri Mar 31 2006OMG! This store is the best!! I like to keep my look updated (esp. style with that "eurochic" aura too it) but not pay tons of money. Why do I have to pay a lot of money for something that doesn't lasts and goes out of style? The quality is good enough for me (if you want your stuff to lasts, then take good care of it) and the fits great (no cheap tailoring job). The thing that makes me upset is that they don't have any H&M; in Los Angeles! :( :( :( And you cant order stuff online either. The only time I'll renew my stock of H&M; is when I visit San Francisco.

Wed Nov 30 2005H&M; is possibly my favorite clothing store. It offers unique clothing that is fashionabley balanced (not too conservative, not too insane) at affordable prices that border on cheap. It also has a tendency to fit slim, which is a blessing for those tired of never finding clothes that fit them proper.

Fri Sep 16 2005H&M; has really nice clothes, but they tend to run on the small side. If you are curvy, you may want to go up a size when trying their things on.

Mon Nov 22 2004I like their stuff, especially the shirts and pants. While trying on the shirts, however, you notice that they are made for girls with no chest. You need a bigger size top if you have one...

Wed Sep 08 2004H & M Clothing is ok, occassionally you will find something decent to wear, but they cater for the more boho taste.

Mon Sep 06 2004I spent over $450 at H&M; Saturday. They have some really hot pants for pretty cheap prices. I also picked a denim skirt to go with my matching Madden pumps to hit the Philly nightlife this fall. I fear the clothes won't last long though. We'll see. I'll keep all you girls informed.

Fri Jul 23 2004This is a great store full of quality priced clothing from the calista flockhart sized girl to the comdiean Monique sized girl. Fabolous clothing, nightwear, jewelry, etc. Who ever thought of this store is a genius, in my book.

Wed Apr 14 2004What a great product, targeted toward the trendy, money-conscious young adult market. Gotta have my H&M;

Mon Dec 30 2002This store is awesome. You can get clothes that look like they are from express for a fraction of the price! I got a sleeveless tank there a few months ago for 4.50! ( I had to buy 2 )

Thu Dec 26 2002I think H&M has good clothing at great prices. The only thing I see wrong with the stores is that they sell size 2 tops, but the smallest size skirt or pants they sell is a size 4, I guess this store isn't meant for people who are petite!

Tue May 14 2002I'm like Janey, I don't go hankering after new clothes and shoes. But when I have to force myself to update my wardrobe, I go to H&M, they are affordable, have a nice line on most of the time and it doesn't feel like a chore to go in there. Last summer I bought the most gorgeous wine coloured suit for an interview I had. The blazer fit me perfectly, the material was fantastic and the skirt rounded it off nicely. I got the job!

Thu Oct 25 2001I like to by clothes, I love shopping, but I'm not into wearing them more than two-three times. So I don't go for good quality and expensive buys, since they're going to hang in my closet most of the time. Their clothes go out of style fast, but by then I'm already thruogh wearing them. They have a nice prise on most of their stuff, and their sales are one of the things I'll never miss. And until anyone says anything, I'll keep on buying my clothes cheap on H&M and wearing them new and then give 'em away a year later.

Sun Sep 09 2001I'm not a natural shop-aholic. In fact the few times I even put my foot in a clothing store is when I'm physically forced to do so. But if I do have to by clothes H&M are #1 on my list. They never go directly out there and scream 'We're the best, shop here' but approach the customer gently. You don't have to be fashionable to wear their clothes, but you don't have to be a 'slacker' either. Their designs are predicated on the notion that fashion is fleeding. That clothes go out of style fast, so why not make it acceptable and affordable for the public? They have 730 stores in 14 countries and sell approximently 400 million items a year. They jump on the trend wagon but still have clothes for the people who don't want to look like walking mannequins. They offer cheap, nice clothes with remarkable quality. And that's pretty much all I'm asking for.

Fri Sep 07 2001H & M has great sales and the clothing I have bought has been high quality. I tend to stay with the classic styles that they offer (sweaters and cords for my kids, great little baby outfits etc..) The trendy stuff is a little too much for me but seems to do the trick for teenage girls. The store is large and bright and fairly easy to navigate, the sales people in our area are pretty nice, some seem to think they are too good to be answering customer questions (hello, it's your job). Overall, I have had good experiences. I am not an avid H & M shopper, but will stop in now and again and can usually find a bargain. The only thing that I don't understand is some of the whacky styles..remember that God awful coat last year..the one that looked like your upholstered sofa from 1974 with the shag rug attached around the collar? I understand that the girls who bought this thought that they were making some sort of statement?! Look at me, how original and unique..hello, the coat is sold ... Read more
