When I first played this game my daughter had it up in her game closet for years. We as a family had gotten together to do a family night and she drags out 'GUESSTURES" We had fun with all the fast paced acting before the cards fell. Then she brought it out again at her nieces birthday party and all the adults got to playing the game and we had people rolling on the floor laughing, my husband who never plays any games decided he wanted to play too, it was a GREAT night. It is a great ice breaker at parties. After playing this game just a few times I have decided to get my own copy. The manufacturer needs to bring this back on the market again.(I do not like the electronic one)They also need to make extra card add ons for this game. Guesstures is for all ages 12 to adult. The FUN is with the Mimer Timer and the charade cards(fast paced) We played in teams and kept score on a paper tablet so the crayon enclosed is useless. A new generation of guesstures players have arrived!! GUESSTURES ... Read more

This is the game our family and friends always ask to play. Even those who usually don't like to play games, enjoy this one. The game always provides an intense hour or two with the group and lots of laughter. This is a game that promises good times.

Guesstures is a charades game where you have to beat the clock to guess several words in order to score in a round. I love how fast the game goes! Scores between teams can vary dramatically each round. There is no time for stage fright or nervousness either, you just have to go for it! When I played for the first time I was quite skeptical, but I had a great time - all of us ended up laughing so hard sometimes I couldn't get my answer out in time! One feature that makes this game so much fun is how you select the different levels of word difficulty and order them according to how quickly you think your team will guess the word. This puts some strategy decisions into the hands of the actor and allows for a wide range of players - kids and adults - to play together. I gave the game 5 stars, but if there was one drawback it would be that the game could use more cards, or additional card packs that could be added to the standard set of words. If you play a lot this is especially true.

This is a great game, and an important predecessor to modern variety games (like Cranium, Rigamarole, Quelf, etc.). All it really is is Charades, but instead of acting out one charade at a time, each player acts out 4 of them. Many of the clues are super-easy to guess, many are much more difficult. If you have a well-stocked game closet at your house, you can make your own variety game like this: Use a Candy Land board. Get out your decks of cards from Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit, Guesstures and Balderdash (or any other 4 similar games). Assign each game a color, and choose one color to be a "player's pick". Move along the board, playing a round of each game from the assigned color that you land on. First one to the castle wins! Good luck!
