Thu Nov 08 2012A cheap, popular brand. Good with juice.

Thu Jan 05 2012Really bad vodka if taken straight. Very harsh, but is a little better as a mixer. The only thing good about it is it is cheap. In this case, you get what you pay for. Spend a little more money and buy Svedka or Stoli. Either are vastly superior to Gordon's for the price.

Thu May 26 2011Gordon's is real sleeper for vodka lovers. You can't beat it for the price and tastes better then some of the more expensive brands IMOP.

Wed Nov 10 2010Sometimes I get the impression that the top shelf brands are paying off individuals to give bad reviews to cheaper vodkas. I have sat here and read too many bad reviews about this to not make me squint my eyes. What I'me saying here is that this vodka is very impressive and good for the price, and don't let the others here fool you, its good stuff. However if you do like drinking your vodka straight up without mixing, I can personally vouch for Ketel One as the most perfect of perfect vodkas (regardless of price). A true royalty beverage. It comes off as a perfectly ballanced vodka with a touch of sweetness. So on the night you need to feel like royalty, like I do tonight, I would buy Ketel One, otherwise I would put Gordons as just as good without the presidential accomidations.

Tue Nov 09 2010This is simply vile. Nasty doesn't begin to describe it. Bring your own stomach pump. It might make a good paint thinner or anti-freeze though.

Fri Sep 10 2010Not bad, Its not the best taken strait, but it does just fine in Vodka-tonics and such. Spend $5 more and you get a superb vodka from Monopolowa

Tue Mar 02 2010As a cheap vodka, don't be fooled by the price! For a mixer, which is all that any vodka is to me, this one is the #1 bottom shelf vodka. Un-offensive flavor and easily mixable. Don't bother buying anything more expensive than Gordon's vodka, unless you are making martini's.

Wed Feb 03 2010I spent two years in the former Soviet Union, and got a real education in vodka, there, it is a social faux pas to mix vodka with anything! They pour 50ml of vodka to 100ml of chaser, in separate glasses those sizes. They like all fruit juices, cola, some of the local soda pops, even kafir (soured milk.) You shoot your vodka and then in one or two drinks, the chaser. Drunk in this way, with the vodka at room temperature as it is usually served where I was, Gordon's is a good product for the money. The inherent "spiciness" so often mentioned in the comments may be a trace of acytyl aldehyde from a hot fermentation of the mash. Remember, only yeast makes alcohol, distillation just concentrates it. I agree that Gordon's is a good mixer, but if you want to experience it's character, try drinking it as I describe above, you may learn to like it the way the natives drink it. By the way, in Ust Kamaenogorsk, Kazakhstan, where one of the four Stolichnaya distilleries are, a 1.75L Stol... Read more

Sat Jun 20 2009This stuff is not good, but it's at least a step up from Banker's Club and Popov. I guess I would rank Gordon's with Jacquin's. Jacquin's is a discount brand, but it is slightly higher quality than Banker's Club. Make sure you mix Gordon's with juice because it is not a martini-quality vodka.

Fri Jan 11 2008To be avoided. Bars should not even stock as well.

Sat Jan 05 2008Not the worst tasting....but the worst headache ever. You will get a hangover after your third drink of this garbage. Iam not favoring "name" brands, garbage is garbage and this is one of the situations of, "you get what you pay for". Its all about the filtration. NASTY.

Sat Dec 22 2007The bad ratings don't know what they are talking about. This is a great mixer, many times I can find it for about $12 for a 1.75. It goes great with Monster. If you are drinking martinis, then use Kirkland or Sveka, both available at Costco. These are the three brands I use and I have never ever had a complaint except from one ahold who only drinks KettleOne. Well I did a drink taste test for him between Kettle and Smirtnov and he picked the Smirnov. You see some people are always sold on brand names. These are very insecure people who think that what they wear or drink will make them more popular. They need to wake up.

Thu Aug 30 2007Four stars for what they used to make. Two for the latest iteration. I have a bottle of Gordon's that is at least four years old. I bought a new bottle a few weeks ago to have a little extra on hand. Having read reviews that put down the newer blue label version I decided to do a side by side comarison... There is no contest, the older red label version is a four, the blue is no better than a two.

Sat Feb 24 2007I've been drinking this vodka for years and find that it is pretty good and a value as well. I always mix it with tonic, so I may not notice any imperfections that others find objectionable.

Sun Feb 18 2007This may have been the worst vodka- hot and sour (not the soup)Did they change the formula with the new light blue label? It wasn't the best before but has changed for the worsr!!!! YACK!

Mon Jun 12 2006this is the worst vodka in the world. The flavored is totally rotgut. Its as bad as walmart. How do I get my money back?

Tue Feb 28 2006Gordon's is strictly a mixer, and a damn good one for its edge. Never to be drank alone, it adds a perk to your martini and character to an otherwise moderate drink. It is great to have on hand, bad to drink alone. It is the line of lines for me. Other vodkas below this margin I will not use. Except the special purposes I save for McCormick (namely mass suicide, lol) Don't expect a high-end vodka with this, only a wide margin over hawkeye and skol. Something you can actually use, nothing you should ever drink straight. That in mind, enjoy! (ahem, I am obliged to say, responsibly)

Tue Mar 30 2004Horrible stuff. Buy it when you have a party and use it for mixers (and then buy a fifth of good vodka for yourself and keep it hidden). Shots of this stuff ends up making you do things you'll regret the next morning with the aded bonus of a night of talking to dinosaurs on the porcelain telephone.

Mon Jan 15 2001This is not smooth. It has a burning sensation. It feels like it needs a smoothing out. A great mixer beverage if you want a buzz but don't want to taste it.

Fri Jan 12 2001Cheap, but gets the job done. You'd be better off with a box of wine. You'd be better off giving me $4 and letting me kick you in the groin. Either way you wind up with a headache.

Thu Jan 11 2001Does it's purpose, but you can taste the price difference, it tastes like cheap vodka. But if you're a poor college student like me, you'll use what you can afford!

Mon Nov 06 2000Gordon's Vodka has a nice spicy taste to it. I like the taste and it is high on my list. It doesn't hit hard enough so I gave it a four.
by party_boys123
Fri Nov 03 2000Gordon's Vodka is probably the best for mixed drinks. It is smooth and cheerful. Unlike Absolut or Smirnoff it doesn't cloud out the other flavors. Try using Gordon'd for mixed drinks.

Fri Nov 03 2000Makes an excellent screwdriver. It's what the bar uses for most of their drinks at my work. It's inexpensive but good.
