Thu Dec 24 2009Have to add my 2 cents worth - will agree with the poster who said they were ok before they changed the paper. I noticed I was re-lighting them every minute or so - now I know why! Used to buy the Goldcoast Lights as my 'computer cig' - for when I'm sitting here burning them up. The place I was buying them from has quit selling them and seems no where else is carrying them - may be a good thing. Have to also agree - DO NOT smoke them while driving! The fire fell off of one and it burnt a nice whole in the seat of my new car!! But now - what is comparable, flavor and price wise??

Mon Dec 08 2008Me and my wife have been smoking gold coast cigarettes for almost 2 years now,We wer buying 4 cartons per week,But now we are concidering changing back to our old brand because we were smoking menthol light 100's,Now they changed to some crappy menthol gold 100;s which aren't worth a dam,the cigaretts go out on you 2 or 3 times per cigarette and can be dangerous when you are driving to have to keep on lighting them, would not recomend them to anyone, very bad qaulity.

Mon Dec 01 2008i have been smoking gold coast cigarettes for 2 years. I buy them buy the carton sometimes 2 at a time. I got my last carton about a week ago and the cigarettes go out 2 or 3 times WHILE IM SMOKING IT!!!! I gave my husband one to try and the tip fell off on my brand new shirt. I called Forsyth tobacco (the co that makes them) and filed a complaint; the woman told me they have the cigarettes in a new kind of paper for FIRE COMPLIANCE LAW so the cigarette wont cause a fire(if you look on the bottom corner of the pack and it says FSC then its the paper). I don't know what the problem is with these cigarettes i have only had a problem one time before with them being stale but i WILL NOT recommend them to anyone anymore I wont even smoke them myself.

Sun Nov 23 2008My husband and I have smoked Gold Coast for 2 years now, they are almost as good as marlboro, not quite though. We have both noticed that they make us cough more than usual,,and alot harsher,,what the hell did you guys do to these cigarettes,am considering going back to marlboro even though we cant afford them,,I know we should just quit, but Gold Coast made it affordable,,but not any more,,,

Fri Oct 17 2008I ussually smoke kools. The Gold Coast tasted the same and might make me change types since they seem to be made by the same company.

Fri Jul 06 2007Gold Coast cigarettes are by far the worst cigarettes I've ever smoked. They must make these cigs with the floor sweepings-I swear I tasted a saw dust flavor in them. I like trying different cigarettes and even Doral lights (and I normally wont smoke a light in any brand except Camels) are better. I could inly make it through half a carton and gave away the rest of them to friends. I normally smoke Camels (all varieties) and Marlboros (reds and menthols) but was very low on money when I bought the Gold Coast cigarettes. Never again-I'd rather go without.

Tue Feb 06 2007very generic tasting, not unique. great if you are low on money. i would definitly prefer these to doral, usa, or basic. i would actually rather buy three packs of these than get two packs of marlboros. basically they arent amazing...but they dont suck either.

Mon Sep 26 2005Really cheap but you can taste it. Like Basics packaged in a knockoff Marlboro box. Not bad but not great.
