Going to class in your PJ's

oh it happened, generally as a product of me just waking up in time. hungover, nauseous and dragging ass. rough mornings

Never went to class in my pj's. Maybe it's a guy thing. I am a morning person by nature. Even if I was still drunk the next morning I at least wore a t shirt and shorts...okay and maybe flip flops.

Never did that, but I rolled into classes late wearing gym clothes, sweating profusely, raquetball raquet in hand. Complete disregard for the fact that I was supposed to be learning something.

Does it count if you are wearing the same clothes from the day before?

I know my college days are back when dinosaurs ruled the earth, but I don't ever recall seeing someone do this. Can't imagine it makes much of an impression on anyone.

Not to change the subject (just a bit).but  I work at Boeing in Long Beach,appropriate  professional attire is required as it pertains to the job. There are a couple of women that have occasionally, over the last decade, gone to work in their pajamas and slippers. I have no idea how they get away with it.

I never did this. I always took a shower and threw on a t-shirt and jeans before class.

Never went in my pjs, but having early afternoon classes after being at the farm riding all morning I did attend some classes in a ball hat, boots and spurs!

Lazy and unsanitary. I guess going to 8:00 AM Chem. 101 without showering, brushing, and wiping is a blast too. Nobody did this in the 70s/early 80s; although I was guilty of going to early classes in my sweatsuit because our coach made us workout right up to 8:00AM.

Oh, yeah now THAT'S a great look. This would be too much like enacting classic nightmares I've had. Plus, no matter how cute you think you are in your jammies, after the age of 5 you probably aren't.

If I went to class in what I wear to bed, I'd be kicked out. Or arrested.

Hey, I'm all for it. Though it may be embarrassing and disrespectful to others, it's great to know it's an option! That way you don't feel the pressure of having to wake up earlier and deprive yourself of even more sleep by setting aside time for changing your clothing and grooming yourself (which may not take a long time, but I know a lot of people who easily take 10 to 15 minutes to choose something to wear and change into it).

I am sorry, but unless you are going to school to, i dont know, test mattresses, then there is NO reason for you to be wearing PJs to class. It blows my mind that people see no shame in wearing red flannels adorned with little white bunnies, to class. If I were your professor I would send you home! (And no, warm ups don't count as PJs)

Sorry, but I don't believe anyone who says they didn't go to class at least a couple times in their PJs (which, in my book includes anything from sweats to warm-up pants). I have to wear a suit to work everyday now, and the dressing down that you can do in college is pretty much awesome.

Even if colleges don't have an official dress code, one should have enough self-respect and respect for others not to do this.

I really don't see how this would do any good for any student, unless maybe you were a hot little number who was trying to improve her or his grade with an unscrupulous professor...

I've never seen this done. Loved it when girls showed up in hot pants, miniskirts or other skimpy things, though.

Personally, I don't think it really impresses anyone when you come to class in your pajamas. At least brush your teeth before you get up at 1PM.
