I had a fantastic experience working with Glocap in the summer of 2009 at the Manhattan New York office. The staff was always very friendly and willing to work with me. I was employed as a temp for 3 months and I had placement for 2 straight months at one company. I also had other side jobs along the way. I was very appreciative of the way my consultant worked with me, there were no fees, and there was no "catch" like you sometimes find when working with temp agencies. Overall I had a great experience and I would recommend working with them.

Glocap may see you once. Afterwards, you are supposed to apply online. The very young and undereducated staff never really get their hands dirty much. They use the LAZY SUSAN approach to finding jobs online, and have no contact to you're lucky if after 3-5 phone calls there is a human who picks up the phone. Even the receptionist phone rings and rings and rings. Makes one wonder if robots exist behind the doors. They may have many job listings online, but let's be real, they may send 1-2 resumes to the client. So, are GLOCAP staff go-getters? DEFINITELY NOT!!! They really do not know how to hustle into the real world like the older generation. They are so self removed they might as well resort to facebook and twitter, and less professionalism. AGAIN, GLOCAP will not treat you fairly, or professional. It does not matter if you've worked with Chairmans, CEOs, Executive Management to Sr. Officers. You have a staff of very young, under trained professionals, who call themselves recru... Read more

Working with the Glocap team was such a great experience. Not only did they find me a fantastic job, they gave me the skills to push my good points and coached me through my not - so good points. They made me feel so prepared for each interview and offered so much feedback, it was almost impossible to not ace the interviews. The whole experience was made simple, by these nice folks!

I had a great experience working with the Glocap team. I have worked with them twice once on a temporary assignment and once by finding me permanent placement. Both times the recruiters responded to me in a timely matter and were interested in my questions or concerns. They were eager to improve my resume and made sure I was thoroughly prepared for my interviews. Great team to work with and I highly recommend them.

I worked with the New York office when I was trying to find a new job. I stumbled on their website and decided to fill out the profile. I didn't expect much since I had already signed up with two other job recruiting places and had no luck for several months. One of their reps called me back that same day leaving a message for me to call her. I called the next day and she set up a meeting for me to come in to talk to her. Still, I wasn't expecting much since I had done this song and dance before at 2 other agencies. The woman was very nice and professional and seemed like she was really going to help me. Still a little wary I thought, I've got nothing to lose. In that first meeting she was telling me about 2 of her clients she wanted me to meet. Within 2 short weeks of being with them I went on 3 interviews and ended up landing a job the second week! I was not only surprised but very impressed by their professionalism. With each interview the rep would call me the day before to help ... Read more

Nice team, very straight-up and helpful with your resume or helping you prepare for an interview. They are actually nice people which can make the interviewing process less intimidating. They give you good advice and you really feel like they want the best for you and not just themselves. I worked with Colette, Becky, Taly and Tracy and each one was helpful and kind. I called and they called back! I needed feedback and they responded. I needed encouragement at one point and they gave it to me. I ended up getting placed through Glocap so I am a satisfied customer. They have great jobs but you really have to be at the top of your game to get one of them! I dont think Glocap works with companies that arent "A" and I think thats why its so competetive to get one of their jobs. Thats just my 2 cents on it.

I was so happy to find this feedback to see I am not alone. I am an Executive/Personal Assistant, with over 10 years experience working for a Chairman at a Fortune 500 company. I am mature, professional, well dressed, etc. I practically had to beg to get an interview at this horrendous place. The girl I met with, was so young and inexperienced. She typed the whole time we spoke which was rather unnerving. I have a ton of experience, and "look and act the part;" yet I get DECLINED to everything I've applied to! Seriously, this place is just awful. They don't respond to emails either. It is such a tough job market out there, you would think they would have a bit more empathy. Also, their whole online process of applying is so COLD. I am not JUST my resume.

I had been working with Glocap for a number of years. They had placed me in a job at a hedge fund and I left my job after 5 years. I asked my recruiter some questions about the new company and she told me "I don't know, but I would wing it" and that by asking some questions that were important to me, that it could potentially put a negative taste in my new employer's mouth. So I had nerves in my stomach and was nervous and not excited about my new job from the start. I was never told about what my new firm's culture was really like and after 5 months I lost my job. It is the worst economy ever, and when I applied for a new job and reached out to this recruiter to let her know and also told her we needed to discuss what happened at my former employer so that she can give any potential candidates the full picture, she wrote back that she is appalled that I would ask for her help and that Glocap will not help in my search for a new job. All I told my former employer when they asked if I h... Read more

Stay away from Glocap. I'm currently working in a firm and paid through Glocap. I got myself the job, but since it's a temp job I need an agency to process the payroll. I did some small gigs before so I just stuf with them. I found out today that my agent completely misrepresented me. The firm is cutting everyones pay (better than cutting jobs) and they told my firm that I said "No way, no hell" to cutting my pay. Not only did they never call me to tell me this was happening, they lied and misquoted me. Basically, thats illegal for both "misrepresentation" and "defamation of character" because I would never use that language with my employer. If I wasn't confronted about this at my job, I was going to be fired within the day. Believe me, I would rather cut my pay than have no pay at all. I'm furious because I have been at this job for almost two years and it puts my reputation in jeopardy because Glocap lied.

Having graduated college in April I was looking to start something immediately. However, I found myself torn between having a resume filled with PR internships and wanting to enter the competitive world of finance. Glocap reassured and prepared me that I could indeed find something in Finance. After my initial interview with Glocap I was immediately thrown into the interviewing process. They encouraged all types of interviews which was the best advice to date that I had received. Without this advice and without the amazing help I received from the Glocap staff I certainly would not have gotten the job that I currently have. Two weeks after I had graduated I had landed an amazing job at an extremely popular and thriving hedge fund. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the persistent phone calls, the honesty, and the advice Glocap supplied me with!

I have to say that recently when looking to make a big of a transition out of my current job, I went to Glocap per a recommendation from a friend of mine who is always "in the know". She sent me to Glocap to see a girl there who she said places "ALL the EA/PA's in the city". I had a nice meeting with her and then I met with two of her colleagues. They were great! You could tell they are very into what they do. They had real enthusiasm. They set me up with two interviews and it looks like I have two or three more pending for next week. This is the third search firm Ive been to this week and Glocap is the first to actually HAVE JOBS! After all- isnt that what this is all about? I have a feeling that with search firms you cant win them all. Im sure that not every candidate that walks in the door is going to be amazing. Im sure its those people who probably get pretty annoyed when then dont get sent on interviews. You're probably going to blame the search firm rather then see what ... Read more

I also went through all the motions of interviewing with them and scouring their site and calling the recruiters (respectfully, and NOT harassing them). I never received a single word of reply from them. Never had a single email replied to. I have experience, I dress appropriately, I behave professionally. So follow everyone else's advice and steer clear of these people.

The below positive reviews are written by employees, 2 posts the same day. With their lack of service, I am lead to believe that they post more jobs than they actually have. I know 4 people who have went to them and they all got hired from another headhunter for a better package than what Glocap said they would get. From the 4 people who worked with them from 3 weeks-6 weeks. Only one interviewed, ONCE. Do Not Waste your time. Go somewhere, where you are valued. Find a headhunter who wants to work for you.

Why does it show four stars when everyone who reviewed it put one star. Anyways this was by far the worst experience I have had with any temp agency. I got an e-mail from them saying they would like to meet with me so I called them. After the third attempt I finally got a hold of someone. We set up a meeting. I got there with 10 minutes to spare before my meeting. I had to wait 30 minutes and someone told me that the person I was meeting with was busy on the phone so they put me in one of the meeting rooms where I waited another 10 minutes. The lady that spoke with me wasn't even the one who I was supposed to meet with and she treated me like I was wasting her time when they set up a meeting with me. After only five minutes of talking she said "we usually don't deal with people of your background" even though they called me and said they would love to set up a meeting. She left then came back with the card of the lady I was supposed to meet with and promptly showed me the doo... Read more

They were good about 4 years ago, but right now they are completely incompetent. There are much better headhunters out there nowadays.

Glocap, though with good reputation, has incompetent recruiters who have little experience and can ruin important career opportunities with little regard for the consequences. They totally misrepresented me to an employer and I lost the opportunity. No apologies, no acceptance of blame. Totally unaccountable. Avoid them if possible. They are incompetent.

DO NOT go through these people...I actually know someone who they screwed out of a job. They lie about the temp assignments they send you on and they don't care if you get hired because they lose money. Whatever you do, stay away from them. They never forwarded my resume to the permanent manager so I went through a different firm and got a really good job. If I had stayed with this firm, I probably wouldn't have a job yet, and I went to them 5 months ago. The people who work there are just terrible!
