Glasses. They're just too easy compared to contacts. Wipe them off, and put them on. That's it. Theres no contact solution to deal with, and you don't have to do something creepy like touching your eyeball. My glasses have also saved me from more than a couple eye injuries from things like flying sand or rocks while working outdoors.

Contact lenses all the way. The 5 min. extra time of cleaning everyday is worth having than putting up with the inconvenience of glasses all day long.

I find glasses to be very attractive on the opposite sex, and although my eyesight is good, I'm not sure I could imagine myself wearing contacts...

Glasses. I love making a fashion statement AND correcting my vision at the same time! I tried contacts and they were a PAIN IN THE ASS to take care of. Wash them in solution; don't forget to rub. Pull down your lower eyelid, look up, put the lens in using the tip of your index finger (as in, stick plastic in my eye? eew). Look down and blink, repeat with other eye. Don't think about going swimming, in a hot tub, or even showering with the contacts in. They can get infected. Don't EVER sleep in them or you get a serious eye infection that can blind you or whatever. And they make my sensitive eyes SO FREAKING DRY!!! The only good things are they can't look bad on you, they don't fall out while playing sports, they don't fog up in cold weather. That's freaking it. My rectangular bronze-rimmed metal glasses look great on me if I can say so myself, and so do my rectangular pink plastic ones (I wear a lot of pink). They are better than contacts for God's sake!

If I had to wear them, I suppose I would be simplistic and opt for glasses. Contacts sound like too much of a hassle. Even with all the new disposable kinds. You still have to play around with your eyeballs to get them to work.

Since I believe this website is basically for REVIEWS, would you kindly take the time to tell the rest of us WHY you're glad you have contacts? Otherwise, it means little, and doesn't help out in decision-making. Thanks SO much!

I've worn glasses since I was about 7 years old and have refused contacts ever since I was old enough to consider them. I have never tried to put them in, but shudder at the thought of putting something into my eye, I just don't think I could do it. Besides, I've gotten so used to having the glasses, I think I look strange without them :-)

I can't touch my eye. My eye won't allow it.

Glasses. I can't stand the thought of having to get my hand that close to my eyes, and I refuse to ever try using contacts.

I didn't start wearing glasses regularly until the type on bottles and boxes started to shrink. Well, okay, until my ability to read the type on bottles and boxes started to shrink. Anyway, as it turns out - I'm far sited in one eye, near sited in the other and since I now have bifocals (with invisible lines so you can't tell - vanity will get you another 100 or so slapped on your bill) I don't even have the option to wear contacts. It doesn't matter to me though because like TJGypsy2, I can't stand the idea of sticking something in my eyes (though I'm sure little pieces of soft plastic would beat a sharp stick). I look hideous in glasses - the proverbial old maid school teacher - so I get the really light weight ones with no rims.

My indifference to this issue is best indicated by the fact that I actually have both contacts and glasses which I keep an updated prescription for (as, I suspect, most people do). During the day and much of the evening I'll wear contacts but occasionally I'll take them off and put on the glasses. It all depends on your lifestyle and definition of what is practical.

I prefer contacts. yes there is some work in the upkeep and sometimes they can be a pain when they fall out or get stuck up inside your eye. I had them for 20 years and my eyes changed in a way where the only way I could use them if I bought the very expensive special contacts which Of course i could not afford.Back to glasses . they are good in some ways you can slip on and off. they take little upkeep. but I hate wearing them sometimes they put grooves in the back of my ear. They are hot in the summer and steam up in cold weather. all in all I still wish i could have contacts but I guess i can live with glasses.

Glasses all the way. I have an eye phobia, and the thought of sticking a piece of plastic ON MY EYE just horrifies me.

(2=lean more towards contacts) Before I got contacts (and even after still), I thought it was just insane to stick a piece of plastic in your eye. After getting used to it, though, I prefer the freedom of contacts over the weight of glasses.

Some folks look more intelligent in glasses others in contacts. Some people can do well with either.
