Wed Jun 18 2008My wife and her family turned me onto Gil's about 10 or 11 years ago and let me tell you, anyone who doesn't like their pizza needs to be sent away and locked in a rubber room. I have had pizza from NY to Fla and from MD to OK and this is #1 in my book.

Wed Jan 17 2007No-frills eatery specializes in serving one thing, pizza. Locals flock for fresh 12-inch pies prepared daily.

Sat Dec 30 2006I grew up with Gil's pizza when I lived in Gardenville. When my family moved to Bel Air, I still made the trek to enjoy the best pizza ever. Nowadays when I fly back from California(!), you know where I go--back to Gil's for the only pizza worth eating. It's not only the most delicious, but it's also a great bargain. I wish they'd open a Gil's in Ventura County. If they ever close, I'd like to buy the recipe and open Gil's all across the country. Things not to miss when flying back to MD from CA: (1) steamed crabs & cream of crab soup (2) Gil's Pizza (3) Berger's Cookies (shortbread with fudge made in Baltimore)--no joke--ask anyone who knows me.

Mon Aug 21 2006Many, many moons ago, I use to have Gil's pizza with relatives. I work near Gil's and now have pizza every Friday at lunch. The Cheese is heavenly-with the real Italian flavor. Just enough sauce and cheese. None of the imitation sauces or cheese used by other pizza shops. Why can't Gil's come to Harford County?

Mon Jun 19 2006I'm 54 and I've been eating pizza from this place since I was a young teen. Actually, many people don't know it, but they used to be down the street further. Anyway, they have a taste that isn't matched by any other pizza joint in town. One of the secrets is, they use a healthy helping of asiago cheese with their mozzarela. Oops. . . I guess it's not a secret any more! You have to taste it to see what a difference it makes. Hey, these guys do one thing and one thing only. They make great pizza in one size out of the front of a row house. It goes to show you; when you focus on one thing, you can provide true excellence.

Mon Apr 03 2006My husband and I have been coming to Gil's since the early eighties. There is no better pizza around. We currently live in Canton and still go to Gil's for the best pizza in the world.

Sat Nov 13 2004Gills is probably the best pizza you will ever eat. We have been eating Gills Pizza for over 40 years. We now live 45 minutes away and have not been able to find a pizza that even comes close. When we get into Baltimore City we stop and get a few half baked pizzas and take them home and freeze them. Sure wish they would branch out to the counties.

Tue Sep 07 2004My Husband and I have been going to Gil's for over twenty years. It's a little far for where we live but more than worth the trip. You can have all the franchise pizza palors you want but nobody doesn't like Gil's!

Mon Jun 14 2004I, too, love the Pepperoni and Meatsauce pizza. They only serve pizzas and they all come in 1 size, but they do them well. Too bad the neighborhood is in the toilet. I grew up and worked around there and miss their pizza. I need to make a special trip down there and enjoy one sometime.

Thu Aug 22 2002I have been eating Gil's pizza ever since I had teeth to chew. My dad would call and say "Do you want a pizza from Gil's or he would just surprise me. Now even though Gil's isn't just up the street from my house I still go there. No other pizza compares. Now my son is hooked on it. Our favorite is the meatsauce pizza, and the crust is to die for. I hope Gil's never goes out of business. I would be in mourning for a long time.

Mon Aug 12 2002Frankly, I hadn't tried this until I got married and my husband introduced me to this place. Before it was only domino's or papa john's but now it's strictly Gil's. To be honest, the meatsauce that everyone raves about gives me gas (i have a finiky stomach) but I really love the pepperoni pizza. The crust is GGGGRRREAT!!!!!

Wed Aug 07 2002My family and I have been patronizing Gil's for as long as I can remember. It has to have been more than 25 years. Their pizza is incredible and the value is incredible, too. I will always have a fondness for Gil's in my heart.

Wed Aug 07 2002Gil's uses top quality cheese and sauce in order to make the most delicious pizzas. All of Gil's pizzas are great and my favorite combination is with meatsauce with mushrooms, (they use fresh) onions and extra cheese.

Fri Jul 19 2002It was always known growing up in the neighborhood that if you wanted the best pizza around you went to Gil's. They have only one size, one shop, and don't deliver but that doesn't stop people from flocking there. If you happen upon it one day, try the meatsauce pizza, it's the best.
