Sat Mar 07 2009I am not completley sure they are real, But so far i am pretty convinced.I mean with all the proof they got now, they probably do.

Sun Feb 01 2009I'm not going to say I am 100% convinced they exist, but I have seen and heard far too much to write it off too.

Fri Jun 13 2008Do they exist? I believe so. But they are neither visible, nor detectable by any scientific instrument, and definitely not subject to the physical laws governing the Universe, therefore, unable to manifest themselves nor affect in a y way or matter the physical realm. I have never "seen" them even as I exposed myself to certain specific locations where people swear to have seen and hear them. I remain skeptical :)

Fri Jun 13 2008Certain spiritual manifestations of troubled beings either long gone or else with unresolved circumstances should not be so unexpected. The question should be in regards to determining which are authentic and which are product of a susceptible predisposition.

Tue Oct 09 2007To quote Dickens, "There's more of gravy than of grave," about them.

Wed May 02 2007this is a touchy one to rate. I myself believe in the possibilty of ghosts. I am really have no incidents myself. but I have heard from others and seen shows on it that make think well maybe. I know it is risky to say that it think it is possible. others will say you can not prove there is the existance of ghosts but they cannnot prove there is not.I just think that of all the thousands of years of earth there could be the possibilty of spirits.that does not mean I believe EVERYONE who say they have had ghost encounters but as for a few maybe they have. who knows for sure.?

Wed May 02 2007I, personally, believe in the possibility of it. I have had unexplained things happen to me that some might believe occurred because of some entity, but I do not say one way or the other.

Fri Feb 16 2007The existence of ghosts, per se is not really a mystery or a question. Everyone has a spirit and when their mortal body dies, they still exist in spiritual form. Afterwards some spirits go to spiritual paradise...others to spirit prison -depending on what the experiences of their mortal life dictate they merit- for a while until judgment day. The question is to what extent -if any- supposed ghost stories can be attributed to the presence of actual departed spirits...or to EVIL spirits (those who were cast out in the premortal existence and never had the privilege of being born on this earth): namely Satan and his angels. And not only that, but to what extent are all the myriads of ghost stories, throughout history, real, hallucinatory, or simply fabricated. Those are the real mysteries.

Fri Feb 16 2007I've always been fascinated by the idea of ghosts and hauntings; the idea sure makes Halloween more fun, campfires more thrilling and cemeteries scarier.

Fri Feb 16 2007They are unexplained because they don't exist. Science has investigated many and none is proved. Don't worry about them.

Mon Jul 31 2006After living in a 12th centry castle for awhile I am a believer. When I slept back in the bedroom it seemed there was a party in my kitchen. When I slept in the living room they stayed away. No bad ghosts here, just partying ones!!!

Mon Mar 27 2006Ghosts, well, they rather be called spirits but, OK, ANYWAY, I have a friend, and me and her "talk" to ghosts. I don't care if you don't believe cuz I do, i believe in them as much as I believe in God. ALOT. But my friend, Marie, was haunted. She had to have people go threw her house and "clean" out the bad spirits. But they -- on occasion-- come back. They haunt me very little, but enough to make me not want to be on their bad side. She almost died. She walked into her bathroom glanced at the mirror and saw Mary Worth. She just ignored it, but Mary wouldn't stand for that. Marie turned on the water got in, and her shower came FLYING at her head and bashed her skull. one word: Blood. They haunt me when i am alone, in my dreams, i wake up sometimes and have blood in my hands, nose, or mouth. it was horrifying. SO IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE YOUR A STUPID ASS!

Mon Oct 03 2005i'm not absolutely certain of ghosts' existance. i have however, been told numerous stories, and seen some wierd things. i used to work in a retail store, and before we closed one night all the dolls on the toy aisle starting talking. unopened and untampered with, they talked on their own. call it what you will, but it sure gave me a scare. that being said, i have had no other experiences outside of that one to make me believe one way or the other.

Mon Jul 25 2005I have study paranromal activity for well over a decade. After being witness to countless unexplained occurences and phanomona, I would have to say that anybody that doesn't believe ghosts exist are either scared of what they don't understand, or can't explain what they have seen to themselves. After we get back from investigation, our friends always ask us did you see anything? We always tell them, Not yet, we haven't gotten the pictures back or watched the video recordings, ot listened to the audio recordings yet. I am a professional paranormal investigator and what I can tell you is, you usually don't see them, but you see what they do, but yes, you can hear them and you can feel them if they don't feel you first. I have well over 100 photographs with paranormal anomalies in them ranging from orbs, mists, to full bodied appiritions. I have over 60 recording of EVP. After taking part in hundreds of investigations on four different continents, I would have to say, Ghost are rea... Read more

Sat May 21 2005Ghosts or spirits are absolutley real. I just recently recorded and EVP ( Electronic Voice Phenomenon ) the other night at my friends old house where their grandpa just died. I think its almost more crazy not to believe in ghosts.

Tue May 03 2005Great question. I've experienced what I beleive was a supernatural happening. What happens when we die? I don't subscribe to the streets of gold or pits of fire, then what? One day we'll all know.

Thu Apr 07 2005i most definitely believe in them. we had moved back to utah after my mother-in -law passed away to take care of my father-in-law.we had been living in california at the time of her death. since it was unexpected only my husband was able to return to utah when it happened so i did not attend any of the services. right after moving into her house i kept feeling a strange breeze blow past me in the kitchen and would stop at where the candle was lit for her at all times. the flame would flicker but never go out. about a month later i was in our bedroom and i had bent down to pick up some laundry. as i stood up i turned towards the bed and for the briefest of moments i saw a little old lady sitting on our bed wearing a blue dress with little yellow flowers. it startled me and i questioned whether i had really seen it. i didnt mention to my husband until we were at my brothers visiting and somehow we got on the subject of ghosts and i was describing the woman and my husband was staring with... Sun Nov 14 2004ghosts are real..there is actually too much proof..but hollywood of course has always made the notion seem silly..same with ufos and the such.

Mon Oct 04 2004I have had an experience. It just confirmed to me that there is something afterall. Up until then I was always a bit of a sceptic. I find the whole thing incredibly interesting and fascinating. Personally I don't believe when you die everything comes to an end. You either believe or you don't, plain and simple.

Fri Oct 01 2004After reading some peoples comments, I was inclined to respond! I would just like to say that I most definately DO believe in ghosts. As a witness to these things it is kind of hard not to! I am not an attention seeker, you ever believe me or you dont. I will leave you with this though.....People say you cant believe in Ghosts as there is not enough evidence, since when have any religious people seen their God(s)? But yet they still believe!!! Whats the difference?

Tue Sep 28 2004I've never had an encounter with a ghost, but I've known many rational, sane people who sincerely claim to have. If ghosts truly exist, they raise some interesting questions about the afterlife. Why would some people become ghosts and others not?

Mon Jul 26 2004Can't say that I believe in ghosts since I have never seen one.

Sun Mar 28 2004Seeing is believing, if not neccesarily knowing. I saw a ghost, or a UFO, or something. Whatever it was, it wasn't normal. Overactive imagination? Not in my case. I definately saw something. Hallucination, maybe. However, I wasn't the only one who saw it. IMO, if you categorically deny the possibility of the paranormal than you've probably never experienced it and you probably have a distinct LACK of imagination. I can't tell you what I saw any more than you can tell me I didn't see anything. You wouldn't know, you weren't there. I was...and I don't know what I saw, but I know what it wasn't.

Fri Mar 05 2004There are no such things as ghosts. Just people with wild imaginations that like making up stories, just to get attention.

Tue Nov 18 2003I am inclined to beleave in the existance of goasts. One explanation that I have heard is that our brain sends its messages in the form of energy through our nervs. The strongest of these messages may survive after the body dies, just bits of energy that are the remnants of what once were thoughts, feelings, sences, emotions, etc. Like a chicken with its head cut off these bits of energy can still run arround even though they are no longer part of a living being. Energy does not consist of matter and will continue to perpetuate itself indefinately. Energy can only cause movement of some sort, it is not actually visible, but instead may cause other things to move on a molecular level and so become noticeable. It may move air molecules and take the form of sound, or cause vibrations forming light, heat, movement of objects, etc. With all of these possibilities the ghost can do a number of things that would make itself noticed, but often the light it produces is a shade we can't se... Tue Sep 30 2003Ghosts don't exist. They're fiction. And if they're real, we can never measure anything about them, like their mass, or volume, or tensile strength, or anything, so why bother caring? Aunt Mabel is nothing more than bones in a box; she's not wandering about the earth in ghostly torment, peaking at people in the shower.

Sat Aug 02 2003"there are more things in heaven and earth horatio, than are dreamt of in your phylosophy" Shakespeare. It would ignorant to deny the existance of ghosts. I have had 2 very REAL experiences with spirits/ghosts/psychological hallucinations/pranks and I was able to draw my own conclusion on the matter....SOMETHING IS THERE...as to what? I don't think any of us can say for sure. There are scientists/parapsychologists who are devoted in finding a scientific explanation behind so called hauntings. They have years of experience, education and knowledge behind them...how can we argue our dibelief, which is based on faith and personal opinions to their proof, which is based on science? No matter what evidence parsychologists find, people always feel they have to argue the intregrity of there work. (People who do not share the same education/knowledge).

Sat Jul 12 2003If you believe that your soul can travel from Earth to either Heaven or Hell. Than why does the idea of a soul getting lost along the way seem so far fetched? No one can prove that there is a god but that doesn't keep people from believing. But when it comes to ghosts people demand proof. Could someone explain this to me?

Thu Jul 10 2003Ghosts are a gothic equivalent of Angels, actually. The strange thing is that far more Americans believe in the latter than the former: actually, a majority of adult Americans, mind you, believe in Angels, which indicates how childish, naive, foolish and idiotic those in the new World can be. If you believe in Angels, you might as well enfranchise The Easter Bunny, Santa, The Tooth Fairy and The Stork.

Wed Jul 09 2003I am a member of a paranormal investigators group and have investigated haunting and spirits all of my life. Sometimes the reports of ghosts are actually other things such as a way to publicize ones property or as a way of making ones self popular. But there are also the cases where the haunting appear to not have any scientific evidence to support another option other than a spirit or ghost. However, I’ve also encountered the flip side of this, where a person who has experienced a ghost encounter doesn’t really know how to interpret it and ends up still trying to convince themselves that there is no such thing. This is one of those topics where you have strong opposition as well as avid believers. I myself, needless to say, are a true believer. After some of the things I’ve seen, I’d be crazy not to believe.

Tue Jul 08 2003I honestly just don't know. I've seen some crazy things.

Tue Jul 01 2003Call me crazy, but I definetely believe in ghosts. Spirits, ghosts, whatever you want to call them. Just because we can't see them does not mean that they are not there. My house was built on a 16th Century cemetery, and my room is in the basement. Sometimes, I feel a quick chill or "freeze" on my back. Sometimes, when I have my friends sleep over, we see what looks like the shape of a human on the wall; its shadow. One time we seen what looked like blood streeks on a chair. Actually, we have seen all types of weird and freaky things, including lights that dissapear when you went up to them. At first I was skeptical, until one night when the shawdow moved accross the ceiling and toward us. I don't know what it is, I know its not the moon or lights from other homes. Sometimes, I just feel like there is someone or something that is in the room with me, but there never is. I'm still skeptical that people can see spirits, but I really do believe that people can feel thier presence around t... Read more

Mon Jun 30 2003Of all the supernatural creatures ever to emerge from a late night pizza induced dream or of all the tales told on dark and stormy nights there is nothing more spine-chilling than the idea of a ghost or a ghost story. I would be willing to bet that long before the human imagination devised more violent and bloodthirsty entities like vampires, werewolves or zombies bug-eyed groups of souls were huddled close around blazing fires watching as sparks flew off into the stars as they attempted to explain why things go bump in the night. It doesn’t take a psychologist to see why humanity has had such an enduring fascination with ghosts. As soon as you realize you are alive you begin to contemplate your imminent demise. There is no question more profound or eternal than “What happens when I die?” From a literary standpoint, I believe ghost stories will always intrigue because they are a very plausible kind of phenomenon – how difficult is it to believe that what once was surely might contin... Sun Jun 29 2003Well, I'm pretty sure there's SOMETHING along those lines, not sure what, though. Is it a spirit of some dead person? An echo of their past? Hallucinations? What? Who knows? I've encountered a few experiences which may be explained by ghosts or spirits or whatever, but I sure as heck can't prove it.
