I understand how people can be so stupid. Christianity--the religion of morons ("Credo quia absurdum" said Tertullian; "I believe because it is absurd", the motto of Christianity)--is the religion of the New Right, the Teabaggers or whatever they're called. These are the people who cheered when Shrub cut taxes to the rich, widening the gap between the top 1% and the rest of America, accelerating the destruction of the economy, putting an end to the American Dream once and for all. Why do people think that Shrub was a "wonderful president"? Well, he continued the economic polices of the previous three presidents, Reagan, Shrub the First, and Clinton (who was no friend to the working man, let me tell you). He ranks #36 overall in terms of presidential greatness. Bush Jr. pretty much sold our country down the drain, and it was his economic policies of why we're struggling today. If the Republicans take over Congress in 2010, it'll be another victory for the Bush team. ... I don't know if history will be kind to him, even though Saddam is dead and he spent lots of money on AIDS. But the Hurricane Katrina disaster and his lukewarm response to the victims will tarnish him dearly.

He did a lot wrong, but he isn't as bad as the media and others would have you to believe. Being a military man, I saw the other side of things and the lies that were coming from the home front. He wasn't the best speaker in the world and there were times were I was disappointed in what he wsa doing, but he was my president and I miss him.

Very poor New Deal (Neo-Con) Republican president. A war hawk, spend-thrift, and expander of the welfare state. All-around bad. Yeah, he lowered taxes, but his unfunded spending splurge ate away the value of the dollar, which was a back door tax increase! Incompetent! Horrible!

Worst president in the history of the United States. Spent the least amount of time in office than any other president in history. Yet he managed to spend a budget surplus, almost bankrupt the treasury, largest annual deficit in history, biggest drop in the stock market in history, put 2 million people out of work in his first two years, all time record for budget spending increases...I could go on. I'm just glad this douche-nozzle is gone!

George W. Bush cared about the rich upper class - allowing them to get all the tax breaks. He believed in businesses that thrive by profits through outsourcing, while millions of middle and lower class Americans started losing their jobs. During his administration - we had to cope with ridiculous gas prices that crippled a lot of families who were trying to make ends meet. I see this president as one pure, unadulterated greed - not caring about a huge sector of the population that once made America what it was.

He's not the worst President, and far from being the best. However, there's yet to be a President, that has inspired so much divisiveness, both here in North America, and overseas. Thank goodness, that he was only allowed two terms.

I was impressed with George W. Bush from the moment I saw him on television walk outside and announce his candidacy for President. Minimum Wage was raised. I believe that George W. Bush would have been able to do many wonderful things, if September 11, 2001 had not happened. The tragic events of September 11, 2001 was in no way the fault of our President. Nobody single-handedly could have stopped what our enemies had planned. The people of America has suffered physically, mentally and emotionally because of these events. I believe because of the events our economy has decreased putting America in a very poor state. That is just my own opinion. I believe Bush has been an excellent President and has done the best that he could to his ability under those circumstances.

Oil man first, representative of the people second. After his first few MONTHS in office he had the worst environmental record of any president-that includes those that were president before people knew better than to cut down 100,000 year old trees just because they were there. He did unite the country after 9/11, but I think that any president who happened to be a good speaker could have done that. The war was disastrous, and I say that as one of the few people who was against the war to begin with. I was attending a Canadian University when war was declared. I was in a unique perspective of watching our dollar fall like a stone, while simultaneously being screwed by it as well. Almost single handedly destroyed the economy and the Constitution. Probably the greatest liar ever (achieved greatness.) Should be tried for treason and for helping to elect Obama the socialist.

He made the nation more expensive than anything. He declared war on a country (Iraq) that had nothing to do with the 9-11 attacks at either the World Trade Center or the Pentagon. He jacked oil prices upwards of $140 a barrel and gas prices upwards of $4 a gallon. He sent all of our jobs fleeing to China. He caused a housing boom that priced millions of lower and lower middle class people out of their homes and sent property taxes soaring like a space shuttle. He cut Medicaid, Medicare, and several vital service programs for people with disabilities. He sent the entire economy of the United States into a steep nosedive during his last few months in office so the new president would be way in over his head (the only thing I would welcome is lowering house prices). George W Bush was the absolute worst president in american history!!!

Of course Iraq was his biggest risk, and it consumed his entire presidency and all else that he could have accomplished. But he's right when he states that history will be the biggest judge. If Iraq stablizes with a working 'democracy', they may become an example to the rest of the middle east, which will work favorably for us. But that is a few years off if it is to be. If so, he'll be viewed upon as an unsung hero.

George W. Bush as a president who had average to at best above average (at best)  intelligence who in instead of serving the American people seemed to serve the likes of Dick Cheney and Haliburton, and his oil cronies and others,  rather then being the leader of the free world,  but will still go down as the worst president in US history, who will best be remembered for:1) stealing the 2000 election taking Florida's electoral votes, with the help of his brother, Jeb, the then-governor of Florida2) unjustly invading Iraq while using the tragic events of 9/11 as an excuse to do so, and creating a huge quagmire in the country, where at least 10,000 innocent Iraqi citizens (the total could be higher now) have lost their lives, while 4,000 of our service men have needlessly lost their lives as well as other Americans and other foreigners in the country and making the middle east region even more dangerous then it was especially with Iran where and creating an even more intense hatred of ou... I see Bush now as a kind of sad and pathetic figure. He was woefully in over his head as commander in chief, a position he should never have held for even one term, let alone two. He has left the country in shambles. Bush likes to say that history will look favorably on his presidency. If so, he will certainly have to wait until all of us who remember living through the past eight years of his failures are long dead.

To call Bush a disappointment is a colossal understatement. He has worked hard at selling our country out to Mexico while paving the way nicely for a Hilary Clinton election in 2008. I support our troops and the war on terror, but Iraq is perhaps the worst tangle of poor planning and delusional thinking in US history. He started out good, but turned out to be a major, major let down. Invaded Iraq without provocation. Lets his oil buddy cronies raise the gas prices so high that some people can't afford to go to work and take care of their families. Says he can't find the leader of a group who were responsible for 9/11, but they can find one sheep in all of North America. I suspect almost everything he does or has his hands in, and I'm glad he's going to be gone in a couple of months. I'm sure there's a lot more we will be finding out in the future. God help us all.
