I know he has done more serious work, before The A-Team, but the way he played Hannibal, as someone who always had a plan, and being cool under pressure, he gets a four from me.

He was doing OK in the cool department up until the dreadful schlock of A-Team.  Banacek was a great character and the Carpetbagger and the Blue Max were good films, (I don't know if Breakfast at Tiffany's was or not I saw it a long time ago and it didn't make much of an impression).

I remember him for the Blue Max,  Banacek,  and yes,  A-Team,  and I suppose, others, that I cannot recollect now. Each of those was a cool role.

Sorry but no. Peppard was a decent enough actor when he was younger but as he got a little older he started becoming a little over the top, a la William Shatner and George Hamilton, though not quite that bad. He was good in the A team too, but again he tried too hard to be cool. The really cool don't even have to try. Update: Genghis' comment reminded me of "Blue Max". I'll raise it a star. Thanks Genghis, sometimes our memory fails us.

He would get five stars, if it wasn't for his jealousy of T. Hannibal was a cool character, and arguably the coolest member of the A-Team. R.I.P.
