I agree with Castlebee, I'd prefer that Bush be in the corporate world, where, by the way, he brought down every company that he had total management control over, rather than running the country, where he can do, and has done, some damage. At least in the private sector, the damage he does could be more limited in scale. As President, his decision certainly affect more people.

A bipartisan unifier who has polarized politics to a degree never before seen in my lifetime, a compassionate conservative who has abandoned conservative ideals for the sake of political expediency and supports torture and death, an "education president" who has cut funding for schools and libraries, a strong supporter of our troops who fosters hatred against gay soldiers in Iraq, and a supporter of families who cuts medical and other aid to millions of families in The United States. This "conservative" first launches an attack on states' rights with his proposed marriage amendment and now wants us - for the first time in our history - to amend the Bill Of Rights with his proposed flag burning initiative. Yes, we've amended The Constitution before.. but never The Bill Of Rights, one of the most brilliant documents ever conceived. He's a conservative only when it will get him votes.. and yeah, he's a phony.

Just for the context of this weblist, no he is not a phony. The sad thing he actually believes everything he says, that does not make him phony, just not very bright. I voted for him, I just can not defend him anymore, I mean, on vital issues, some of his stands run towards the bizarre. I will vote Republican in 2008, thank God George Bush will not be on the ticket.

Gold-medal-winner. . .self-proclaimed Christian who ignores the thousands of Iraqi civilian deaths. . .one who pretended to be a uniter after 9-11 and then prostituted it to lead a war based on false pretenses and anti-Muslim zealotry. . .one who leads by demonizing gays, intellectuals, and those who dare ask questions that demand answers that are not monosyllabic. . .the lord-of-'tards dubs can claim a victory at the present, but history will not be kind to this president who has little or no respect for any ideas and truths that do not fit into his little sense of reality. . .

Although he's gotten better over the years at delivering his "lines",this guy has ulterior motives up the wazoo and not an iota of conscience or integrity.Witness the way he plays up to the fundamentalists when the chips are down, then deserts them when he gets what he wants. His flip-flops are monumental.I don't believe a word he says and neither does 80% of America.(recent CNN poll)

I won't give him a 5 because I think he's sincere about the things he believes. I also think he's sincerely flawed and should be screwing up the corporate world instead of the world in general. His recent TV appearances have convinced me that the only thing worse than an intellectual retard is an arrogant intellectual retard with power. The really sad part is there appear to be only others of his kind lining up to give it a shot in 2008. I could cry.

The brush clearin,' plain speakin', baseball enjoyin,' Bob Jones U. visitin' aw shucks, man of the people! That's exhibit A of how real this guy is. Setting aside the rest of his oh so genuine qualities... seriously, what does it say about us as a nation that we fell for the old William Henry Harrison 'raised in a log cabin trick' ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY years later?

I do not believe he is a phony, he is was he is. Like him or not! He speaks from his heart and tells what is on his mind and that is what gets him in trouble so often.
