Thu Apr 29 2010Although there is such a thing as overeducated fools, I usually have a great respect for learning but: Why the fuck do I have to know what a rhombus is? I think I took this shit for about seven minutes before transferring out of it. Math is my Achilles' heel. I don't even want to believe in this shit. A part of me would like to saunter in to my old high school looking like I dressed up as a 1973 pimp, drunk with two floozies on my arms and loudly interrupt this nonsense in a most embarassing manner before the indoctrination of the youth of America becomes even more damaging.

Mon Jul 21 2008The first time I took this class was the first time in my life I felt like a complete failure, of course later I found out that everyone who took Geometry with that teacher struggled or failed...the second time I took it was great...took it with some friends and the teacher was great...I passed with a 99 on the final!!!!

Fri Jul 18 2008It felt more like an art class than a math class. It was quite easy and fun.

Tue Apr 29 2008I really enjoyed plane and solid geometry. I had great teachers in the 1950's.

Mon Apr 28 2008High school geometry was one of the easiest math classes I have every taken. I still learned a fair amount, but I wasn't really challenged at all.

Mon Apr 30 2007Proofs. Why did it have to be proofs.

Mon Apr 30 2007Three stars means that it should not be overdone. The basics of Geometry are rather useful for many problems in life. As for the more intricate geometrical problems it would be more interesting which and how many they are (loads!) than to learn how to cope with a few of them.

Fri Mar 09 2007Love it. Logic basically. Really helps you to structure your thoughts.

Sun Sep 11 2005Geometry is a lot of fun. It teaches you to think in a completely different mindset as you visualize symmetry and such. Plus you get to draw. I love making those astrids.

Wed Mar 09 2005I took Geometry my freshmen year in high school. I remeber days when i could kill the teacher. All I really remeber is like the simple stuff. I realize that If you dont want to learn someting, you won't remember how to do it

Fri Nov 26 2004Actually, I'm getting an A, but it's really hard to learn anything in that class because my teacher doesn't really teach. She just says do this homework, and if you have any problems with it let me know. I wish there were less postulates and theorems to remember.

Thu Sep 11 2003I'm not very fond of Geometry, to tell the truth. In fact, most areas of mathematics that end in -ometry I'm not very fond of. I've only taken one geometry course--sophomore year of high school. Getting a good grade on a test in that class was like pulling teeth. At least I learned a new term in that class that I havent forgotten--perpendicular bisector. That's the only thing I remember, unfortunately.

Fri Jul 04 2003Like algebra, I was good at basic geometry, but when we got to the more advanced stuff, I found it very difficult. Some of the formulas were easy for me to remember, but knowing when to apply them was a little hard.

Sat May 24 2003I can understand the need for Geometry in the workplace and why it is taught in High School, but I took it this year and just never got the hand of it. I got one of my only Bs in this course. My teacher herself admitted that she preferred Algebra over Geometry, and I agree. The problem with Geometry is not applying skills and doing math. The problem is memorizing theorems and postulates. If you do not know those theorems and postulates, then Geometry is going to be a lot of trouble for you. It was a lot of trouble for me. I've only gotten an A on a Geometry test twice this year. I'd much rather take Algebra.
