he was so cute!!!

In a way, I felt bad for him. Lots of issues that he apparently decided to deal with by making a continual putz of himself. I guess he didn't get the memo saying that it is entirely permissible to retreat into the background and live a simple, dignified life. As a child actor he was over-the-top to the point of nearly being a cartoon. When the cuteness wore off he should have taken the queue to head for college, trade school or the circus. Sorry about his luck but even considering parental units absconding with his funds issue he had more options than a lot of people.

One of the greatest talents of all time as a child. I remember the John Amos of good times said he had the best timing of any actor he's seen in years; and that was as a child. He never got the recognition he was due and when his parents took his money, he became bitter. Anyone under 35 is kind of clueless to history anyway but it's sad it took his death to get the love he deserved. It's sad his adult life is what most remember. He was laughed at and treated like crap and to be honest I dont' know how he didn't go crazy with all of the negativity. RIP to the GREAT Gary Coleman

cute kid pretty good actor. seems to have some problems now. an awful angry man any interview I have seen recently.  had to have been hard for him dealing with a serious kidney problems. he never got very tall only about 4'8" must be extra tough for a man. he had to play younger roles which could not have been easy did not seem to get that chance to continue acting as an adult. UPDATE: sorry to hear of his death today. I was not too shocked since he had a lot of health problems. guess he hurt his head a had a brain hemorrage. I agree that I hope he is at peace now.

Gary Coleman died at noon today after lapsing into a coma as a result of a fall. I can't help but feel sorry for this guy. After his show"Different Strokes" ended he never again found the same type of success. Can't be easy reaching your peak at such an early age. His growth problem probably added to his insecurities. "Diff'rent Strokes" was one of my favorite TV shows when I was a kid, and I thought Gary Coleman was talented and funny. But it seems that as time went on, things got worse for him. I know he had a lot of health problems, as well as animosity toward his parents. Don't know if he ever cleared things up, or not, but I know whenever I saw little interview clips with him, problems were not resolved. And he started to look very crazed, and I think a lot of it had to do with his mental and physical health. Too bad things ended the way they did with him.

Gary Coleman did well in the Different Strokes television show. The last I heard, he was working as a security guard. It's a damn shame that his acting career didn't do too well after Different Strokes was cancelled in 1986, Coleman will always be remembered for his contribution to Different Strokes. I give him a 4 star rating.

Well apparently he doesn't like to be reminded of his past. Which happens to be the only reason anyone knows who the hell this pint size midget is anyway! I read that he assualted someone for asking him to say his well known catch phrase! It comes with the territory! get over it!
