Fri Jan 07 2011The english coronas are okay considering you get these damn things at a gas station. However, it only gets worse from there. Not a cigar you want to admitt to having consumed, but I have certainly and ironically done worse.

Mon Apr 19 2010The first time I tried one of these, I wasn't very impressed. But, just for poops and haha's, I decided to buy another one and find that the taste is growing on me.... it's a good quality for the price. Obviously you can't expect a $2.79 cigar to be the same quality as a $27.99 cigar, but it's not too bad nonetheless.

Mon Mar 22 2010These cigars are machine made of weak tobacco. they will not improve with hot aging, nor will they taste good out of the box. i don't normally believe that any cigar should be avoided, be these are just awful, not only in flavor (absent after aging), but in value. these things are super spongly and under filled. you are paying too much for litteraly not enough. avoid and have a hot aged swisher or phillies. thank you. ps., go to "5 dollar cigar humidor" on instructables to learn all about machine made cigars and how you can save them and improve them.

Sat Jul 25 2009If you’re going to smoke an average cigar, (this one happens to be far below average), it has to be a bit moist. That can be a problem because shops with good humidors aren’t that easy to find, at least where I live. In fact, some of the worst humidors are in those Smokers Outlets.

Thu Oct 16 2008Just finished my second Game, Green flavor. Overall pretty bland. I think they purposely made these cigars to start out nice, and then drop you like garbage. 1/4 is okay, nice thick smoke and long ashes. 2/4 is where at least a little flavor came out, but still-you'd get more flavor from licking the plastic wrapper :-/ The 3/4 was very bland. I would recommend never smoking these shorter than three inches... At that point, stuff gets hard to keep lit, the fill is no longer in strips but more like pipe fill, and it emits this terrible tongue numbing smoke that lingers forever. On the positive side though, these things last forever. I took 1 1/2 hours to smoke that last one (which by the way is the key to getting that 2/4 flavor). So over all, I'd say these are acceptable cigars if you just want a mindless smoke that will last a long time, BUT NEVER smoke that final 3". BEATS THE TAR OUT OF BLACK AND MILDS.

Fri Sep 26 2008Its my first time ever smoking anything, and my friend just got me a couple of the green game ones, anyone know what i should excpect (either way i'm going to try one, so telling me not to smoke it isnt any help) thanks.

Fri May 16 2008I have tried them (Gallantes) for the past six months. Half of the cigars always "snot/rotz" (when on home leave, the wife won't kiss me, until I brush my teeth, excuse the "snot" expression)! At five "cigars" a day, thats more brushings than the ADA (American Dental Association) recommends. Never again!!! Definitely not a product to offer your friends, (maybe to Bin Laden/Saddam is Dead!). Will go back to Thompson Cigar Co.. Defending Your Freedoms (Iraq) LTC Charles "Chuck" Wallis, USMC

Thu Feb 28 2008These were by far the worst smelling of any "cigar" I have had the opportunity to come in contact with. My co-worker bought them on a whim from 7-11, and finally decided that we should smoke them. I opened mine while I was locking my PC to go outside, while he went out to smoke. I didn't even make it outside before he was back inside saying they were nasty, and never mind. We threw out the other 4 in the pack. I really couldn't stand the smell personally, as I smoke full size cigars most of the time, and Cafe Cremes & Hoyo De Monterrey Excaliburs when I smoke the Minis. I definitely will not be purchasing these.

Sun Jul 01 2007The best cheap cigar. I love them
by linemanrt60
Wed Apr 18 2007Maybe I've just been unlucky the past few times that I have purchased these things but aside from the Game cigars that they make, the English Corona and Presidentes are only palatable till about half way down the stick and then that cheap tobacco saccharine taste hits full force. If there are no other better cigars to choose from look for Dutch Master's Churchills or Swisher Giants.

Sun Dec 03 2006Now i will admit i have bad taste in cigars, you know those cheap flavored cigars that are only intend to be used by potheads rolling a blunt? i used to like those. Luckily i have at least gotten a little more sophisticated in my tastes, i like real cigars now.. cheap low quality cigars, but still real cigars. and no my taste is not based on lack of availability or lack of funds, i have smoked a wide range of cigars i just tend to appreciate the cheap ones a bit more than i should. Now onto my review; Garcia y Vega is a tolerable smoke, not really that good even for a cheap cigar but not bad either. Ordinarily i would not buy them if given a better option but if they are all that is available i will buy one or two. One positive thing i will say for them though is that they go extremely well with whiskey, for that purpose i highly recommend them.

Sat Oct 07 2006Great with a fine red wine like MD2020 or Night Train!!!

Fri May 12 2006No taste at all! Even White Owls beat these. Maybe the English Coronas will have a better taste than the Gran Corona, I will have to try ONE. Would never buy this again.

Sun Mar 12 2006Being a constant smoker, I've built up quite a strong immunity to "reggie", but instead of graduating to a more powerful drug (like most do), my fellow dopeheads and I found a way to make our blunts last longer. They're for experienced rollers only, but they are the perfect upgrade from Swisher and Philly. Gracias Garcia y Vega.

Mon Mar 06 2006Vegas are the best cigar i have ever smoked they have a great taste great smell and burn perfectly slow. But you can never ever find a fresh one always fall apart when you take the wrapper off. Still my favorite cigar ever.
by zoharf30
Mon Nov 07 2005Totally tasteless! If you normally smoke cigarettes, these may be a nice change, but if you are used to even the cheapest handmade cigars they will be a great disappointment.

Sun Sep 25 2005Dried cow manure wrapped in green.

Sun Sep 25 2005Cheap-ass late-night 7-11 smoke. . .nowhere near a Dunhill or a Macanudo. . .

Sun Sep 25 2005Decent cheap cigar to smoke in the liquor store parking lot. That's what I did and it worked for me. Interesting taste...pretty good.

Thu Dec 16 2004Who rates thes atrocities above a 1? If I could rate em a 0, I would. Dont waste your money or time on these nasty cigars. If you really want to spen money go buy 6 gumballs instead of one of these crappy cigars.
by av8orac0
Tue Nov 16 2004Not bad for a cheap cigar. I particularly like the maduro wraper. Just wish they would use a natural leaf binder instead of that paper crap, it makes for a harsh smoke. I allways cut the end with a cutter, the little hole they supply clogs up, (this cigar bleeds nicotine).

Wed Oct 06 2004I've been smoking the Miniatures for several months now and enjoy them for the 20 minute smoke and the wrapped end. I was buying them in the 50 box at Wal-Mart but they don't seem to be stocking them anymore. Last time I was there I think I bought their last 9 5 cigar boxes. They were so dry that they would have made good kindling. Since I only had 4 cigars left when I stopped at CVS I noticed they had 5 cigars boxes which were in a newly designed box so I bought two of them. I forgot to say I also bought 50 cigars boxes at Walgreen's but they were out too. Anyway, these we great! Good taste, nice feel, just a very good smoke. I ordered two 50 cigar boxes on the internet today that I hope are the same as what I got today.

Mon Apr 19 2004We are talking cigars- not weed. I smoked a crystal today and while it began okay (the burn could have used a little help, but I did light it in the wind..), a nice earthy flavor I thought, it didn't last. The crystal soon turned bitter and stayed that way. about three quarters of the way through the draw became impossible- that little whole they have poked in their isn't the best. I ended up biting off a bit of the head since it never improved. I don't know what was worse- a Garcia that didn't draw or one that did way to easy. Well, I was getting plenty of smoke since it drew so easily, but very bitter smoke.

Wed Apr 14 2004Garcia Vega Miniatures used to be a fairly good everyday smoke--Everytime I buy them anywhere in Florida now -they are like sawdust--nasty--all dried out old and wrapper comes off easy.Have had this problem about 6 months everywhere here.Dated 04/14/2004

Thu Apr 10 2003For machine-made stogies, they're pretty good. Still, nothing beats a good, handmade cigar. Except a FREE good, handmade cigar...

Sat Jan 25 2003Garcia vegas are the shiiiaaaaat! they make my dro taste mighty fine. they burn perfect, never any problems, and they are much better than phillys.
by george_w
Sun Dec 17 2000They use the best kind of tobacco leaves. They are good and strong.

Fri Dec 15 2000I love smoking cigars once in awhile. These especially, they got that special aftertaste. They are not that expensive. I love the name too.
by freshmex
Wed Dec 13 2000These are tight. They are very good just to kick back and smoke when you don't feel like having a cigarette. Also, they come in handy for rolling other things!
by suzanne
Wed Dec 13 2000These are okay. I don't really like the taste of them.
by paste36b
Tue Dec 12 2000I like these cigars. Not too much tobacco and tobacco paper.
by bobbyht
Tue Dec 12 2000I used to smoke Garcia y Vega's all day, but it is harsh on the throat. I prefer the Philly Blunt. It's a good overall cigar though.
by chauncy
Mon Dec 11 2000A nice harsh flavor lets you know you're smoking high quality. Stiff and sturdy. They roll nice blunts that burn slow. The grape leaves have a very robust flavor to let you know they're there.
by cocokd
Sun Dec 10 2000I really prefer to pack some green in Vegas. I had one without it once and it wasn't all that good. Garcia y Vega's are really good with Chronic.
by boricna
Wed Nov 22 2000A little too harsh for beginning smokers, but once your throat gets used to it they're quite enjoyable. They don't taste very good if you're just smoking tobacco.
by ashmun
Wed Nov 22 2000When I buy a Vega, I get the greatest feeling. Good for rolling blunts.
by sean40d1
Thu Nov 16 2000These cigars are great; of course, I never smoke them full of tobacco. The thing about Vegas is that green leaf wrapper. It makes rolling the blunt a little more challenging, but it's worth it.
by lboogie24b
Tue Nov 07 2000Come on, who smokes cigars? Best paper to roll with. Sticks good, runs good, good size. Don't ever roll without one.
by desire
Mon Nov 06 2000This is a hard cigar but it rolls well and is easy to smoke.
by chaps16d
Mon Nov 06 2000Too much tobacco paper. Always burns my throat and gives me cotton mouth.
by lee1d82d
Mon Nov 06 2000The tobacco leaf on the outside of the cigar adds to it's taste. The packs are also convenient to carry, the small cigars fit right behind your ear.
by ali1ed9c
Mon Nov 06 2000Used widely to smoke blunts. Lost leverage to Phillies. Study found to be bad for heart.
by thoughtsone
Fri Nov 03 2000The green leaf is superficially labeled bad for you by us weed smokers. It also does not roll as well as Philly Blunts, nor does it taste as good. But, if nothing else is available, these work.
by emosia
Thu Nov 02 2000Re-rolling is a good quality. Some tend to be stale after you buy them. A really popular cigar.
