Tue Jul 12 2011they totally kill good movies like the Simpsons movie at first it was epic and cool now its like watching a old bad episode of it. and all the previews for their shows a few months in advance. the "rescue me" ones are bearable to a fault but the ones for damages are really annoying they use the same song for each one id be fine if it was not a real song, the reason for this is when i was at the beach someone played the song the song from the damages previews. it really drives me up the wall. each preview for the shows they have are overplayed and have something that will surly make you hate the show when it would be trying to drive you in. this channel/fox tries to come up with good programing but the demographic for the shows are knocked off by half by the preemptive strike of repedive previews a few months before the premiere it would be good if they were progressive and is not show the exact same ones over and over again and i never really noticed how much they played t... Wed Jul 28 2010If it werent for its always sunny in philadelphia this channel would be 3 things. 1. Hellboy 2. Commercials. 3. Commercials.
by madeupnamesoic_anpost
Thu Jul 09 2009FX would be a decent station IF: 1. They showed 1/3 less commercials during their series/movies. I understand that this is a cable network, and that they are going to have to have some advertisements to make money. But really, do I need to see the same Geico commercial 8 times in a 2 hour period? Come on. 2. The commercials they did show were presented at a normal volume. Seriously, you'll be watching a movie or show, and the volume will be just fine, AND THEN THE COMMERCIAL COMES ON AND YOU SCRAMBLE FOR THE REMOTE TO PROTECT WHAT HEARING YOU HAVE LEFT. Ridiculous. 3. It weren't a Fox network. I know, I know. Many will disagree with me on this, but I still feel that Fox almost always makes bad decisions when it comes to programming. Case in point, they decide to show the same 4 films 3 times a weekend. While it is true they do have some good original programs like The Shield, Rescue Me, etc., there's always the lingering tendency for Fox to randomly decide to cancel a g... Read more

Wed Jul 01 2009I don't have FX anymore. I had it when I had cable. As I recall, FX was a pretty good network. But I don't know what it's like now. My satellite package doesn't include this.

Sat Aug 02 2008Good for reruns of King of the Hill, That 70's show, and sometimes good movies.

Fri Jun 13 2008How many times can one channel show the same fuggin' movie?!?! Seriously though, they play the same movies over and over and over and over again (Spider-Man, Hellboy, The Transporter, The Punisher, the list goes on). They have way too many damn commercials too. The only good thing about this channel is the Riches.
by alazz911
Wed Mar 28 2007Dirt and the riches are 2 of my favorite shows of this season. This channel is awesome.

Wed Mar 28 2007It has good stuff once in a while. I always look to see what is playing.

Sun May 14 2006There are way too many commercials when trying to watch a movie. The movie is out run by the commercials, which makes it unpleasant to watch. It is very frustrating!

Sat Oct 29 2005American cable has slightly different channels then Australian cable. In Australia, the FX channel is known as the women's channel ie it is a channel dedicated for women and they put all these shows on which they think women will like eg murder SHE wrote, Medicine woman, Ally McBeal, Oprah, touched by an angel. The programs are good but I have a real problem with them dedicating a channel just for women. That is unfair because why don't they have a men's channel? It is funny how these feminists are all against discrimination against women, but they are certainly all for discrimination against men! Why do they single women out? The producer of that station must be one of those women who lives in the 1970's when women's right issues were big issues and she has this paranoid belief that women are all angels and all men are bad and oppressive so she is going to be the big hero and rescue women. I don't like the idea of having these gender biased things. Plus they put all these astr... Read more

Thu Oct 27 2005Crimony, how many damn times do I need to watch DIE HARD 2?!?! FX has developed a severe case of "HBOlogy", where they get hold of a flick and till it into the soil until it becomes an indistinguishable stain. Glad to see that they've given BUFFY the cold shoulder; now maybe the Sci-Fi Channel will come out of its stupor and pick it up. Sure, COPS and MARRIED are easy half-hour backfill, but they're doing KING OF THE HILL to death (a little of that jittery linework lasts too long), and the "sports" coverage is decidedly "red state". There's only three words you need associate with this station: movies, movies, movies. Without broader programming initiative, box-office cinema will be their bread and butter. They'll surprise me with buried treasures in this field, which is why I keep FX on my remote rotation.

Sun Aug 14 2005Too many commercials when they air movies. Nothing else on the channel warrants a second look.

Tue Jun 07 2005I hate this station. It doesn't come out by me, yet they keep showing NASCAR races on it. I hate listening to the radio for nascar, the announcers always screw it all up! GRR on FX

Thu Jul 08 2004I just watch cops and married with children.

Wed Jun 23 2004FX is just another fallen station. Once the showers of classic programming such as Wonder Woman, and Batman, they know have no limits and no redeemable programming. Although Married, with Children, is occasionally amusing and Cops can show justice prevailing, the rest of the station is just trash. The Shield and Nip/Tuck are two completely useless dramas. Both rated MA, they are packed to the gills with extremely graphic violence, tons of profanity and graphic sexual content. FX also shows one of those mindless dating shows, the offensive and boring Ally McBeal and the third-rate court drama, The Practice. I very, VERY rarely watch this station.

Mon May 17 2004I just watch for COPS reruns and the occasional Married...With Children rerun.

Fri Feb 27 2004A mix of movies, syndicated shows and original programming. What has been good about FX is their original programming, with shows such as Lucky, The Shield and Nip/Tuck, FX has made a name with edgy, controversial and award winning shows for an adult audience. Movie wise they usually have a good selection of semi-current choices. It's a channel I enjoy watching.

Wed Jan 14 2004Has reruns of good shows. But like big Fox, cancels original series too fast even those that are critically acclaimed.

Fri Dec 19 2003I only watch the occacional Married with children reruns.

Mon Nov 03 2003I love being able to wake up on a Saturday morning and watch those old 90210 episodes. Talk about the perfect way to start a morning. FX usually has a good movie on at Prime Time too. Excellent channel.

Sun Jun 22 2003If "The Shield" isn't enough to give this network a '5', I don't know what will.
by sundance70
Wed Apr 16 2003A better than average channel. Of course, I still watch reruns of 90210 and X-Files and MASH and the Shield. If your not into these shows, I wouldn't recommend this channel. And they also have a bad habit of repeating the same movie over and over every other night for weeks.
by staytherelass
Tue Feb 18 2003I like the BUFFY reruns.I wish they'd show MILLINEUM again.
by jason1972
Thu Jan 23 2003The Shield is their only asset, that's the only reason why they get another star.

Sun Mar 24 2002Just another outlet for Fox's lousy shows.
by whitedevil311
Wed Mar 20 2002I just like it for the Married with Children reruns.

Fri Jun 29 2001This is the channel that showed me the "A-Team" and "The Fall Guy," but stopped! I don't dig the Beverly Hills 90210, although I like to see the M*A*S*H* reruns.
by callmetootie
Wed Apr 04 2001An occasional good show on, and a good movie, but that's about all I could shake out of the network. They used to show some pretty cute shows on reruns like the short-lived Jim Carrey show, The Duck Factory.
by druknight
Sat Dec 16 2000I like FX because all of their shows are old reruns from Fox. So I can watch every episode of a series every day istead of once a week. The only thing I don't like is that sometimes they show the same reruns over and over.
by dancingdr
Tue Dec 12 2000I really like this channel because it plays the reruns of the old shows on other channels, which other channels don't play anymore (like Millennium). I never really liked it until I started watching it on FX.
by shunt325
Fri Nov 17 2000They make some really interesting programs, so people really try to see them.

Fri Nov 10 2000really cool when they're playing reruns of cool shows and there's absolutely nothing else on tv. i wish i had it here in the dorms...

Sat Jan 22 2000My new cable system has this channel - the first time I have ever had it. It has Beverly Hills 90210 on 4 times a day (at least) and the X show - you have got ot like a channel that cna cover 1/5 of the day with that programming.
