After reading the Advertisement about Fuel my boyfriend and I enthusiastically visited in June. Upon entering an empty room after 10PM (Fri) garnished w/hotel guest (Flip-Flops, Beach Shirts, Casual Shorts and Boat Shoes). We were immediately disappointed, the dress code was regurgitated online and advertisement as poised and Vegas-like. The drinks were quite hosed down w/H20; we then opted for wine, which was of substandard. The staff lacked energy and enthusiasm reflective of the ambiance. The only spark of energy and proficiency that evening was the very talented, well-toned, wonderful young (Africa American) lady who danced upon a cube. We were almost robbed had we opted for VIP, this place truly failed in many, many ways: No Ambiance, Enormously lifeless, Energy & Mood draining, and Over Priced Fuel is No-Vegas (It's more like incarceration).

I went to Fuel for a bachelorette party. When we first went in Its was clean, and had good music. We were the first there so we had seating. They have this special for 99cent tequilas, so we ordered them. Took the shot and it was WATERED DOWN!! As a regular tequila drinker I would know! So we told the bartender and she was like, Yeah it is our policy that the shots on special have to be watered down. So she admitted it. Then I went to ask the manager about it and he said.. Which I know is a lie... "State Law that if we dont make money off of it, we are required to add water to it." I told him that was not true. And then he told me, "Why dont you buy a real shot the." Actually I did and spent $8 on a shot of patron. And the told me, "thats why, patron is not good tequila either." I just laughed at him. Seriously? Is he going to treat his customers like that? We all spent a pretty penny there and the employees obviously dont give a s**t about you. Im not an idiot and have worked at plen... Read more

First of all, I just want to say that the advertising is false. Fridays to my understanding was suppose to be ladies enter free...and there is suppose to be some bikini contest that did not happen. Not that I cared about that but they guys I was accompanying did--It seemed to be a cool place to go. We were so hyped to go there we heard and read good things about the place. Experience is another thing let me tell you...as soon as we entered the lady that took our money was extremely rude. Then we went on to get our seats and that was just not very well planned out for a club. There were not enough seats for the capacity there-- the bar didn't even have stools! They advertise an extensive list of Tequila --yes they do have that, but what for! If they are going to WATER IT DOWN! Just so you know I drink well drinks--they were watered down too. I went there SEPT.26'08--oh yeah and not to mention there were lots of Gangster wannabes! (Just not my thing) I dig music all kind of music, but ... Read more

My friends and I went out here to celebrate my birthday and it was great. The atmosphere is awesome. We danced the night away but after a while the crowd died almost completely;however, I credit this to the fact that not as many people go out on cold nights like that night was. When we left the MC ended up giving us VIP cards for our return visit. Overall it was wonderful and I cannot wait to return. I certainly recommend this establishment.

This past week I spent a bit of time in Fuel. I had heard of it in conversation but didn't really take notice until I saw in an advertisment that MuzikMafia and Ty Herndon were playing there. I expected it to be a cross between the old "BAR" and some of the regular music venues around town. I was DEAD WRONG. It's really nice inside. They've remodeled the inside and it's got a sweet "garage" concept going. The stage is nice and big, and the lighting was really cool. They had 55 gal. drums as the base for their tables and licence plates and hub caps hanging from the wall. It looked like there was a VIP area upstairs and another separate area downstairs where Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich and 3 Doors Down sat and watched the show! I didn't order any of my drinks (my friend made all the trips to the bar) so I can't tell you about the service. But I can tell you that he seemed to get our drinks pretty quickly and they were well made. As a girl, the bathroom has a big part in the sco... Read more

Growing up in Nashville, one would tend to notice how all of the downtown bars and clubs blend into one another. I always thought that downtown Nashville was one big tourist trap, specifically second avenue. A couple of years ago, I moved away from the area to persue a life as a professional bowler. After sustaining a career-ending thumb injury, I decided to move back. Last night after I finished unloading the U-Haul, I decided to call up some old friends and make a trip downtown. We parked on 2nd ave and started up towards Broadway, and I noticed that the old 'Bar Nashville' had a new sign out front. We planned on staying out pretty late, and it was only 6:30 so I said, 'what the heck, lets drop in and see how much the old dump has changed'. As soon as I stepped in the club, my jaw dropped. What was once a sleazy, run down joint is now by far the most unique and well presented venues I've been to in any city. Before I could take it all in, I was greeted by a smiling bartend... Nashville was a first time experience for me & my friend Mavis. We came to the see the Titans/Patriots game and wanted to find a bar to celebrate New Years Eve. Neither of us care for country music but were surprised by the band performing on the 30th. Eighties music incorporated into country rhythyms came from the band on stage. Most impressive was their rendition of Cyndi Laupers "Girls just wanna have fun". New Years Eve was quite the party!!!! Music by The Cosmic Blues Authority had the dance floor filled with people shaking their tail feathers to Rock & Blues cover tunes from the likes of Leon Russell, Steve Wonder & The Allman Brothers. A most impressive wall of tequilla at their tequilla bar with a staff who knew their tequilla gave life to some new shots on my palate & in my belly!!!! Hats off, weather it's a Cowboy hat or a Baseball cap, to the Fuel and their staff.

In Short Rock and country bands perform in front of this live music bar's faux garage doors, attracting a rowdy crowd of tourists and music lovers. Hubcaps and license plates hang from the walls while bartenders in mechanic's shirts dole out suds and shots from a quare bar in the center. Most nights feature an acoustic set followed by a full band, as the sound engineers keep their post in a tractor trailer cab near the front door.

Great Music, Great Crowd, Great Bar! Everyone should check out this place, the bands are good, the crowd is fun, and the drinks run long.
