Probably insane leader of a micro-cult, most of whom he's related to by blood or marriage. I don't have much use for evangelicals, and I've been amusing myself making fun of them on this list, but this asshole is something really special. Having said that, I also don't see this guy as typical of the breed. The rest of them may be grifting con-artists, but this slug takes hatred to a whole new place.

As a gay christian I know I must forgive those who sin and hate me. However, this guy cut's it pretty close. It is the "American Way" to have freedom of speech, and unfortunatly this is why he and his cult stay here! If they were to live anywhere else they would be cast out of that land! It is the most twisted and hypocritical thing I have ever seen! He is of the devil!

Shanghaiist wrote about the extremist crazies at GodHatesFags.com, the official website of Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas. The "church" has apparently issued a press release thanking God "for the Great Killer Earthquake that He sent to kill thousands of stiffhearted Chinese rebels against God." In addition, they pray for "many more earthquakes to kill many more thousands of impudent and ungrateful Chinese.Just when you think these vile people can't sink any lower. If there is a God, I'm praying for him to send a big lightning bolt to 3701 SW 12th in Topeka.

In spite of it all, there is one good thing that fred has done for America. He has given liberals and conservatives something to agree about: the fact that he is evil. Why did it make me give him a star, though? My actual rating is zero stars.

What he, and his followers did at the Matthew Shepard's funeral, is one of the most vilest things I've ever heard of. Mr. Phelps is one of the few persons on this Earth, whom I truly despise. This lowlife scumback seems to have some serious mental issues though.

Fred Phelps is a disgrace to christianity and we need to pray for him and his followers to truly know Jesus and also pray Mr. Phelps and his followers learns the concept of HATE THE SIN,LOVE THE SINNER cause he is ignorant of that christian belief from what I have read of him

It doesn't suprise me at all to find this bucket-o-chum bringing up the rears' of a list that was already brimming with the names of some real bottom-feeders. Better judgement appearently eluded me when I decided to wander over to this sh!tbag's website ( charmingly titled, " godhatesf#gs.com" ). What I encountered there was nothing more than unfiltered hate-speech that was bordering on inciteful. The only saving grace ( pun-intended ) of it all, is that not a whole lot of people take this asshole and his 'ministry' seriously. But there are some who actually do, and that's pretty pathetic. Because this world would truly be better off when this rat-soup-eating d#ckweed, and the last of his defective ilk are finally phased out of the gene-pool due to their incestuous mating habits and increasing irrelevence to mankind.

Maybe this guy should get a little bit more worked up about other types of sexual promiscuity. Adultery, rape, pedophilia? Why has homosexuality been demonized to such an extent? I do not understand it. I honestly believe this guy was sexually assaulted (by a man) as a child. Though this does not justify his actions. If he ever turned up to the funeral of someone I knew, I would run him over with my car - back and forth - until each bone in his body was broken. And I am usually a pacifist!

The pastor of Westboro Baptist Church straight out of good ole Kansas spends an average of 30 hours a week picketing events and protesting against gays. The church is made up of a whopping 50 members, all of whom happen to have the last name Phelps.
