The proprietors and teachers, Vitaliy and Lyuda, recently opened their own Ballroom Dance Studio after having successfully taught ballroom dancing in Charlotte for a number of years. The studio offers private and group lessons in all Standard and Latin dances as well as pratice sessions and their students range in age from children to seniors. Vitaliy and Lyuda are both excellent teachers. They teach all levels of dancing from beginners to the highest competitive level with equal enthusiasm and dedication. They have the ability to convey their love of dancing to their students and the lessons are always instructive as well as fun. I love my ballroom dance lessons at the Fred Astaire Studio South Charlotte. The teachers are exceptional professionals and accomplished competition dancers. I am learning the Waltz, Foxtrot, Quick Step, Tango and Viennese Waltz, as well as all the Latin Dances such as the Rumba, Cha-Cha, Paso Doble, Jive, Samba, Mambo, Bolero, and Swing. Dancing brings me joy. I have been dancing with Vitaliy for a number of years now and am forever challenged. It never gets boring, there is always more to learn. I take private lessons twice a week and attend four weekly group lessons taught by Lyuda and Vitaliy. It never ceases to amaze me how competently they can lead us to achieving proper body position, posture and styling. Tirelessly they strive to make us the best dancers we can possibly be. And if you ever come to any of the studio showcase events and see them perform, you will discover yourself that they are phenomenal dancers and truly an inspiration.

Lots of dance variety: salsa, rumba, merengue; bolero, foxtrot, waltz, jive, swing - you name it! The group classes are relatively small, which allows for more personal attention. Private instruction really caters towards individual learning patterns and schedule. Beginners to advanced level are welcomed. It's so much fun, yet you learn a lot in a short time. A great way to add or increase exercise in your weekly routine as well as meet new people. This is an excellent way to improve self image and build confidence regardless of whether you have danced before or not.
