Mon Oct 27 2008This was a pretty vicious fight, but no less so than the Sugar Ramos-Davey Moore murder, the Emilie Griffth-Benny Paret mayhem or the Ray Mancini-Duk Koo Kim massacre. Honestly, why "the sweet science" hasn't been outlawed in the U.S. at this point is proof positive that America hardly qualifies as a civilized country.

Thu Jan 10 2008Total brawl. Best ever. Two brutal punchers just slugging back and forth...as soon as one looked ready to go he'd rally and knock down the other. Cannot beat this fight.

Sun Nov 11 2007This is one of the best slugouts I've ever seen. I sometimes can't watch reruns of fights I've already seen but this fight is different. Ron Lyle was just a punch or two behind George Foreman before Big George landed the knockout punches. I would have given it five stars if there had been a title on the line.

Fri Dec 23 2005This one was like seeing King Kong versus Godzilla. Two thunderous punchers throwing nothing but power punches. The ground rumbled each time one hit the ground and the air must have hurt every time one missed a with a shot. Forget boxing, this was like ultimate fighting. One for the ages and just one more of George Foreman's ex-opponents who never sounded or looked the same after being pummeled by the big man's meaty hams.

Fri Jun 03 2005The George Foreman vs Ron Lyle fight makes Hagler vs Hearns look like a fight between preschoolers. This was no boxing match but rather a no holds barred fight between two of the biggest punchers in boxing history. Both men had been knocked down and staggered several times before Foreman finally knocked out Lyle in the fifth round. If you've never seen this fight, you are missing one boxing's best all time brawl.

Wed May 18 2005...Actually,this rates at least a 10.No titles were on the line, but from the opening staredown contest to Foreman finally finishing off Lyle, this was like Nuclear war at the OK Corral;great heart shown by both killers.
