I worked for a local Ford dealership in the parts department for a couple of years. All I can tell you is that they make those cars and trucks with some of the cheapest low-grade parts that it's not even funny. I've seen plastic kids toys that were made from stronger stuff! Quality is job one my backside! The sad part is they charge an arm, a leg, and your first-born kid for parts. Want to know the reason why? Because Ford builds all their cars and trucks on the fly. They are well known for changing parts in the middle of production runs, which is just a waste of money. Just imagine trying to find "one" part when the car or truck your working on has two or three different part numbers for the same thing just because the part is a silly millimeter longer or shorter! I watched several tech's and parts counter people practically loose their minds working on these piles of junk! On top of that, Ford intentionally makes their cars and trucks obsolete after a year! Why? To artificially c... Read more

Fuck Ford. I will never ever ever get another Ford in my lifetime as long as they are still made from shit. My first car was a 94 Ford Taurus, okay, yeah that is an old car, but I mean, that car was so gross and ugly and nonfunctional it was unbelievable! It overheated ALOT. It looked ugly. It didn't hold alot of people. It got hot way too quickly inside of the car, so hot that it burned me a few times. It was an embarrassing car to be seen in...etc. My parents got a new 2004 Ford Freestar when it first came out. I was so excited, it looked like such a nice car! It was utter shit. They traded our good Oldsmobile Silhouette for it. And that car was like the last model that Oldsmobile made before going out of business so it may be worth something someday...The Ford they got was nothing to compare. The Oldsmobile had a CD player, a nice one, bucket seats in the back, very roomy, like big and could hold Shaq if he were to get in and he would be comfortable in ANY seat, had a nice interio... I've got a soft spot for fords, maybe not the newer ones, biut everything from 1975 and earlier is cool with me, and the new ones are cool because they are so easy to get your hands on when they're used. a 95 ford escort with a manual trans going for $500, HECK YES!

Lately, Ford has been churning out new vehicles faster than mikeholly makes weblists. With 6 new vehicles for 2005, quality has suffered a little, I think. They are having huge problems with the Escape hybrid, and the new mustang looks good but I looked at them and they have less room in the back seat than any vehicle I have ever seen. I mean, why didn't they just make it a roadster. That's about all it is anyway. You could throw your backpack back there, but putting anybody larger than a small child is not feasable. The fivehundred doesn't offer anything new as far as outside styling, and the the GT is smoking fast, but very pricy at $140,000. Overall, I prefer quality over quanity, and I think Ford will have a lot of stuff to fix for 2006.

Seems as though the American driving public is split into the Ford lovers and the Chevy lovers (OK, that's hyperbole, but sometimes it fits). I've had a number of Fords (none recently), and they have all been pretty decent (for American cars!). Best one I ever had was a 1965 Galaxie hardtop with a 289 V8 and 3-speed transmission. I wish I still had it - it was a good car for long trips, wasn't bad in town, drove and rode well, and had few problems.

Ford is my favorite car company to date. The reason I like Ford so much is because lately they have been dishing out some very nicely equiped and built cars and trucks.

Ford is my best and favorite car company. Almost everyone I know own a Ford. Both of my parents have Taurus's. My sister bought a Escort for her first car. My cousins have a Ranger, a Explorer Sport Trac, as well as a Focus. All of them have had absolutey no problems whatsoever. Ford even gave us a free 7 year warranty when buying the Taurus. My sister saved $1,000 on her Escort just for being a student. The F-150 is the real truck. I love both Ford and Chevy, but I like Ford better for having personal experience
