Garjen55 is right on. The lyrics speak for themselves. I think this is one of the greatest songs ever. Honestly. The album version is interesting because I think both S&G; sing together in perfect time and the 12-string guitar keeps up the momentum. And then the live performance (which is more common--you'll find it on the "Greatest Hits") is impeccable. This has never been a sappy love song to me. I don't want to ruin it with descriptions.

After not hearing this song for years, I saw a woman skating to it on the Today this morning and now I see it mentioned here! I forgot how beautiful it was and what a picture it paints.

"And when you ran to me your cheeks flushed with the night We walked on frosted fields of juniper and lamplight I held your hand And when I awoke and felt you warm and near I kissed your honey hair with my grateful tears Oh I love you, girl Oh, I love you"
