All of the pastries are great. Let me repeat that: all of the pastries are great. You haven't lived until you have had their morning buns, or three. Best croissants ever, especially the chocolate ones. Ready-made cakes are great too. For lunch so far I've only had their paninis which were delicious. Not a place for dieters, keep out! Never ordered a formal cake so can't say much. Flower store part adds so much to the atmosphere and blends in so well you forget you're in a part flower store while you nibble away in a cozy indoor garden. Small place but it's never been packed so always managed to grab a seat and casually eat breakfast with my daughter.

I had Flower Flour do my cake and flowers for my recent wedding. I admit that I had a few changes to my flower requests but on my last meeting with the owner, I thought with all the written down notes, that we had the same game plan. I had asked for mostly "Pale" pink and maybe a few white flowers in my centerpieces and bouquets. For the cake I had shown her some handmade cake jewelry branches I wanted to use. She told me they'd look better in my hair and she didn't want to put them on the cake because they'd look terrible without the flowers and I just gave in. When I showed up the day before to drop them off she was very excited to show me the start of my bouquets that were purple, fushia, white, dark green and purple filler flowers and a few giant wilted looking pinkish roses. I asked that she not put the purple or green flowers in there and I'd ignore the fushia ones. She called later to make sure she could still use the purple in the centerpieces. I told her no and her response wa... Read more

...are some of the best in the San Jose area; the Pear Torte, and the chocolate dipped macaroons are incredible! A fun, unusual atmosphere combining an upscale but not stuffy floral retail shop surrounding some of the most flavorful and beautiful desserts around. Sit outside and watch Willow Glen go about its day. For the true patisserie connoisseur, Mimi's artful reticence with both butter and chocolate will astound. The tortes are the perfect dinner party gift, no matter what the host is serving!
