Tue Apr 08 2008Good kiddie fare. Agree with "Lassie Under the Sea" analogy.

Thu Mar 25 2004Great show. The best part is that my kids got to watch it many years later in reruns. What a handsome father that Bryan Kelly made and Sandy and Bud were darling too.FL has changed a lot since then and thats why this show is such is a treasure.

Tue Nov 18 2003I love dolphins and Flipper was so cute. Four years ago I lived right down the street from Ivan Tors studio in North Miami, Florida where Flipper and many other great shows were filmed such as Gentle Ben and Miami Vice.

Sun Oct 12 2003A bit too cutesy. The father looked like he spent his free time lifting weights, not raising two kids.

Mon Apr 28 2003This show sorta reminds me of a training film for gayboy wannabes. The butch father, the absent mother, the lean, smooth, pale blonde older brother, the engaging younger brother who's in love with a tube-shaped aquatic mammal that's always springing out of the water in a vigorous, masculine arc. It's all there. Also, I found the dolphin to be quite irritating. I always wanted to drop several super colossal olives down that varmint's blowhole.

Thu Dec 27 2001Flipper was a good family show. You’ll notice by this list - we had a lot of those way back then. Of course, I'll be the first to admit that doesn't necessarially mean they were all great shows (i.e., "My Mother the Car" - pahleez!). "Flipper" as I recall, writing and acting-wise, plodded along a bit. But I always enjoyed the sight of that sweet dolphin’s face and the bubbly little laughing voice. Flipper was a kind of aquatic answer to Lassie and, in its day, it worked.
