Wed Aug 26 2009I've been to fenway quite a few times...when it was actually a ballpark and not a huge billboard. The Gene Yawkey would be rolling in his grave if he ever saw the state of fenway park now! ENOUGH AD'S!!! I've been to minor league stadiums with FAR less ad's! The Sox home field has ad's EVERYWHERE! so much so that i now refer to it as "billboard ballpark", it's gotten to the point where you can barely see the cito sign anymore (a trademark of fenway for years) as it's being blocked by yet ANOTHER ad! and don't even get me started about nesn! I'm sure other teams see our stadium and laugh! Their home field has 2% of the ad's for gods sake! I know teams need to make money but come on! Fenway park is the only mlb stadium i've seen with so many....it reminds me more of a boxers trunks than a baseball stadium! Add on top of that, some moron screaming "ice cold miller light" every 4 seconds (yes i counted) get's a tad annoying! Fenway has changed so drastically that it's no longer the same... Read more

Wed Apr 01 2009Just build a new Fenway Park already, no matter how much renovations you are putting to it, it's gonna deteriorate sooner or later. Probably sooner.

Tue Feb 17 2009Yeah, the 5 is hometown favoritism on my part, and I've been there about 75 times. Lots of great memories for me, saw a Series game in 86 and the game in which Gary Gaetti and The Twins pulled off 2 triple plays in one game... It's true, the seats are very small, and were apparently built for Peregrin Took and The Keebler Elves. It's obviously old. But the field is pristine, the history and character are still there, and there are few bad places to sit. I kind of miss the old days- you'd see people smoking grass in the park and fights and the type of drunken buffoonery that isn't annoying. Nowadays, there are too many yuppies and too many Codys and Zacks blabbing away on cellphones and Kirstens with pink hats and not enough dirtballs causing ruckuses.

Sun Dec 14 2008Beautiful, historic, but cramped and not ready for the 21st century.

Mon Nov 17 2008THIS IS A PLACE YOU HAVE TO GO TO IF YOU HAVEN'T YET. THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO SEE A BALL GAME.THE HISTORY THE GREEN MONSTER. JUST WALKING UP THE RAMP TO THE FIELD WILL BRING CHILLS TO YOU EVEN IF YOUR NOT A REDSOX FAN. GO TO FENWAY!!!!!!!!

Wed Jun 25 2008THE BOSTON REDSOX HAVE HAD GREAT MEMORIES PLAYING IN FENWAY PARK AND SO HAVE I, KINDA CRAMPED SEATING,BUT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO WATCH A GAME, AND BE PART OF BEING PART OF WATCHING A GAME FROM ONE OF THE OLDIST PARKS IN THE COUNTRY.

Mon Jun 23 2008Some seats have bad view of the field. Fans are rude. Boston Fans think they know everything and many times they are out in left field on any given topic.

Sun Jul 22 2007it's what baseball is all about. the warm beer while eating a hot dog. the natural grass and the unpredictable bounces of the walls. it is amazing, go there once in your life and you'll see what i'm atlking about.

Mon Jul 09 2007Because of the history, this is a great park to visit, but its uncomfortable seats and obstructed views would make it a really bad place to regularly watch games.

Wed Apr 11 2007Fenway, like Yankee Stadium, is a joke. It is only popular because of its history and the dedicated fans that bring it too life. Red Sox fans don't need Fenway to make baseball come to life in Boston.

Mon Jan 30 2006Quite possibly the most miserable, stupid fans in history. The stadium is cool, but the fans make it suck. Tiger Stadium was old and cool with smart fans. Comiskey was a dump, County in Milwaukee a real dog...but all of those had more enjoyment factor for a fan than sitting in dilapidated dump with 30000 Will Huntings. And cool doesn't mean 'really good' either. Drove 12 hours to Wrigley and would rather get stabbed there than get a beer bought for me at Fenway. Truly, truly, sucky.

Thu Jan 19 2006Okay, my strong dislike for the city of Boston may have something to do with my feelings of Fenway. Plain and simple, the higher ups know that the losers that live here will still pay top dollar to see the red sox play whether it is a rat infested run down dump or not. Just the same way new englanders will sit at Gillette stadium in sub zero temps and not demand that a roof be put on that stadium like everywhere else normal in this country. The fact that people here have no standards speaks for itself as to why Fenway park is what it is.....A DUMP

Sun Sep 11 2005Rundown and unsafe. Where did that come from? Did you like fall off the seat or something? Sound like something a dumbass like you would do.

Thu Jan 27 2005Home of the World Champion Red Sox, Fenway is the oldest stadium but it has great history, and it is the most unique of all stadiums. I love the Green Monster!
by mariusqeldroma
Sat Jan 08 2005There is no replacing the Green Monster. :)
by conus4cf
Fri Jan 07 2005Too old; the seats are too hard and too squushed up. They need a new stadium immediately.

Sat Dec 18 2004A very special place and as historic as you can get in Major League Baseball. It's small, but it's survived and that's what makes it so special to visit. If your not used to Fenway, it makes you feel like you've went back in time when you walk in there. Too much renovating and the teams even thinking of building a new stadium just irks me.

Thu Sep 02 2004You either gotta love it or hate it. I love it -it's got personality unlike newer parks with no history or life. Who cares about bathrooms etc- you go for the thrill of the game. At Fenway, it's one of the best

Wed Jul 14 2004Its a classic stadium. it is nice people come to boston just to se fenway. The Monster seats really make to the effect.
by thedesertfox
Wed Jul 14 2004The mice and overall filthiless pervades ruins any historical significance.

Tue Jul 13 2004Great Classic But a little run down!

Thu Jun 24 2004never seen a game there but I hope they never get rid of it. One of the unique beauties about pro baseball is the fact that the fields are not standard. That crazy right field foul pole in Boston, the brick in Wrigley, that right field upper grandstand in Yankee Stadium, the garbage bags at the Metrodome. To standardize fields or stadiums completely would take some of the poetry from the game.

Sun Jun 06 2004Not a pleasant baseball experience.
by taaljazz1
Tue Mar 30 2004Fenway is an absolutely beautiful & intimate baseball experience...no nosebleeds, rabid fans, and quirkily shaped old-school pitch. Only been there once, but it was amazing.

Sat Sep 06 2003Although to todays standards Fenway Park is a dingy old dump, the tradition that surrounds it makes it an excellent stadium. If you go there just to see the stadium, it is a old small dark park, but if you are a baseball fan, it is one of the best parks there are.
by pabobe99
Mon Sep 01 2003The Green Monster, green grass, contrived dimesions, excellent sight lines, what can you say? Along with Wrigley and Yankee Stadium, it's the most historical park in the majors. May the Red Sox never leave this place! It would be bad for the entire sport of baseball. The Red Sox fans are No. 1 in baseball, and Fenway is the 2nd best stadium next to Wrigley.
by alty6905
Sun Aug 17 2003It's a beautiful park, but access to it is terrible, the ailes and corridors are WAY too small, and the food is the worst I've ever had at a sporting event: the Fenway Frank I had was terrible, the beer was expensive, small, and watered down, and my pretzel tasted like cardboard. Also, the seats are really uncomfortable.

Mon Jun 23 2003great park...with alot of bad seats. I still love it though.

Sat Jun 14 2003Green Monster? Maybe for a little league team.
by rich2002
Thu Jun 05 2003People, have you ever been there more than once? I find people who've been there once love it, for being close to the field and the history. I live in Boston, the park is a joke. If you are over 5 foot 6 and ever had to use the bathrooms, you'd agree with me.

Mon Apr 14 2003That huge wall is..annoying, i don't like it much
by basshawg
Fri Apr 11 2003Get real....this place is a dump....ok it has a little tradition but the wall is obvious compensation for a lack of room disgrace.
