I just tried to schedule an appointment as a new patient after reading these reviews. The secretary was distracted and rude on the phone. After inquiring if the Dr. was accepting new patients, she took my name & number and said she'd call me back "another day". Another day?? I will spend my time seeking a doctor with a more accomadating staff.

This 'doctor' is atrocious!!! He refused to listen to my concerns, and tried to prescribe medication that I know (from various other testing) is not needed for me. Please save your self the money and get tested or help from someone else.

Dr. Siddiqui is seeing my children for almost seven years now. My daughter went to college and changed several psychiatrists but had such poor experience that she travels 4 hours to see him. He gives amazing care and I would recommend him to anyone searching for a good psychiatrist.

Dr. Siddiqui is wonderful. He has treated our daughter's ADD for 5 years and has made a world of difference. My recommendation can not be any stronger. He and Adrian (office manager) both rock!!! Our family loves his office!

I just wanted to let people know that I think Dr. Siddiqui is Very Good. We have been seeing him for at least 4 years and my wife and I both are very happy with him. We have seen several other doctors for issues with both our son and I both so we do have some perspective. We agree with others that he is a very caring, thoughtful, and competent doctor. I won't go into details but. overall, I would definately refer him to friends or family members.

I was very sick..nearly 15 years. I saw many Dr's and therapist, way too many. I was put on many medications ,sometimes the same ones over and over again ,sometimes experimental. I could not function very well in society though I come from an affluent family and am well educated. I went through many years of heartache and misery and so did my family. Finally, I met Dr Siddiqui and he literally saved me;thank God for him. Within 3 months of my meeting him I had turned my life for the better. That was six years ago and I have never known a more thorough, knowledgable and compassionate Dr. in my life. I don't mean only in Austin, I don't mean only in Texas. We are very fortunate to have a world class physician here in Austin who is so compassionate, caring and generous. I have referred my closest family member and an extremely close friend to Dr Siddiqui. He cares about people. If you or a family member is sick and you feel like you may be losing the battle I recommend him with no hesitat... Read more

Dr. S has been our son's doctor since he was in Kindergarten- he is now in the 5th grade. We had many doctors before him and while they were O.K., they were not personable and our son wouldn't respond to them. Likewise, one doctor was insistant that our son had ODD and he didn't fit the criteria yet wouldn't listen. Our son liked Dr. S right away and trusts him as do we. We went to Dr. S because of ADHD and later learned that he had issues with PDD. It took a long time to get a confirmed diagnosis for our son with the PDD- and we liked that. He didn't want to place a diagnosis on him until he was 100% certain that it was the correct one. He listens intent on hearing what we have to say before sharing his ideas. Dr. S is very knowledgeable. Likewise, he passes on information to us- so we can research on our own. From the first time we met with him, he was so compassionate. We had been to another doctor who had several things that he wanted to diagnose our son with- and none of it ... Read more

I brought my then 4 year old to Dr. Siddiqui when we were having difficulties at school & home. My son was diagnosed ADHD & Bipolar. I too was diagnosed Bipolar and have been receiving ongoing treatment for the past 6 years. My son is now 9 years old and we have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Siddiqui. He is very knowledgable!! He has always been very courteous and has always been able to pin point exactly what my son or I need even within our short sessions. He is THAT GOOD... he doesn't have to sit down with you for an hour or 30 minutes. He is a psychiatrist NOT A PSYCHOLOGIST! The two are very different. He is to make the diagnosis and prescribe the medication etc. and he always insists on going to a psychologist for therapy sessions. Therapy is where you take an hour and talk out your problems etc. Dr. Siddiqui is NOT a therapist.... he is a Medical Doctor. He takes the time to go over your symptoms and treat your disorder ....therapy is for you to do. I have N... Read more

Dr. Siddiqui has been my doc for a couple of yrs now and it's hard to believe anyone would have the complaints I've read. Judging by the remarks written I would bet that the complainer was attempting to do all the talking instead of listening. I've never had a negative experience with him. Yes i've gotten mad at his decisions at times because it may have been what I didn't want to hear but that's why he is the specialist. He's very knowlegable, intelligent and he's current on all the new conditions and treatments out there. He listens and yes, I've had to wait a little while later than my appointment but guess what? that patient probably needed the extra time more than i did. He's great at recommending other therapists or specialist that may be needed. And I love Adrienne his secretary. As for the cluttered desk, maybe next time you should focus on the reason why you are there instead of looking for reasons to bash a wonderful doc whose made great differences in peoples lives. And by t... Read more

I have been taking my son to this Dr. for over a year now. It took me about 6 months to even find a Dr because of our insurance. I will agree with the other person by saying he is messy with files and short. BUT, he is the only Dr. I have taken my son to (he has seen at least 15 different Dr.s in less than 6 years) that has explained to us why he is diagnosed the way he is versus how some other Dr.s had him diagnosed. I have never had him rush me out of the office and I was allowed to ask questions. I do trust his opinion. I have done a lot of research online and via the library and everything he has told me I have found to be true in what I have read.

This 'doctor' is very difficult to work with. We went with our daughter to try to get some help and left his office with very little 'help'. We tried to ask questions with no luck. He constantly interrupted us by rambling on and on about things that didn't even pertain to our office visit. He talked for quite awhile about what a good doctor he is and how patients write him letters. He proceeded to spend several minutes searching for the letter to show us. He had no clue who our daughter was upon her second visit to see him...2 weeks after the first visit. He had other patients charts ALL over his desk and stacked 4 and 5 charts high. On the front of these charts were typed office visit notes in plain view for others to see. I guess he's not "HIPPA compliant". We walked out of his office very frustrated. Our questions were not answered. His comment, "you'll have to save your questions for the next office visit and that visit will be 15 min . long". He was the only doctor ... Read more
